Perfect location on the Royal Mile. Extraordinary staff. Two restaurants spread cuisine and formality ranges. Will absolutely rebook when back in Edinburgh.

Wonderful hotel! Excellent location, very friendly and helpful staff, extremely clean rooms and very comfortable indeed. The décor is bold but actually works really well as in contrast with the old building. The rooms are much more serene in tone. We were offered a glass of prosecco on arrival which was a nice touch. We didn't eat in the restaurant, but we had some drinks in the bar which were delicious (although a little pricey!). Breakfast was excellent, huge choice and very fresh - make your own pancakes, and eggs to order were a highlight! We will definitely return :-)

Stayed at the Virgin Hotels Edinburgh for a half term city break combined with a birthday celebration and it exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, the team were exceptional. I had accidentally booked March instead of February and only realised after travelling. They handled it with total professionalism and kindness, moved everything across seamlessly, and genuinely couldn’t have been more helpful. It set the tone for the whole stay. The hotel itself is outstanding. Beautifully designed, incredibly comfortable rooms, and a real sense of quality throughout. The service was consistently first class and the food and drink were superb. Every detail felt considered and premium without being pretentious. An incredible city break, made even more special by the team. We will absolutely stay again.

This was our second visit to this hotel and loved it just as much as our first. From checking in to leaving all the members of staff were amazing. Maria on reception was really kind and made our visit really special. The commons bar had a lovely atmosphere for a drink and Eve was really good for breakfast. The location of the hotel is excellent for all the sights in the old town. This really is a five star hotel and customer service is high on their agenda. The room was amazing and super clean and we had turndown in the evening. We will definitely return for another stay. Thank you everyone.
