Truly enjoyed our stay. Staff were extremely helpful, room was clean, nicely appointed and very comfortable. The location was excellent, in the center of Edinburgh and walking distance to everything. Should we be lucky enough to return, will stay at same hotel.

Stylish, friendly and effortless this hotel is top notch in a prime position. Amazing team and quality service and attention to detail. Comfortable rooms with quirky but perfectly conceived design and public spaces with understated chic and the Virgin signature iconoclastic cool. All delivered by a team who visibly care. Loved it.

Overall, our stay made us feel right at home. We especially loved the Common Club—the food was fantastic, and the service throughout was outstanding. Every request was handled quickly and with a warm, welcoming attitude. Truly a memorable experience!

The summary is spot on. Wish I had read it before booking. The hotel is really nice. Great rooms. Shower was good. Staff very friendly. Breakfast top notch, great location and the rooftop patio is lovely. But…don’t go there on a weekend. Rave under my room kept me up until 3:30am. They moved me once that first night but had the same problem. Could hear it in my pillow - that’s how loud it was. They did fix it on the 2nd night but I also heard other people complaining as well. The hotel is trying to get the club to abide by the noise laws (I would’ve been fine had they stopped at 12 or 1) but made it seems like the city council wasn’t rushing to do anything. Once again, fantastic hotel in every regard. But for 450 GBP a night, you could probably find better in the city that doesn’t have the noise problem. Or maybe noise doesn’t bother you as much as it does me? Just know before going in. I should note that they did give me a bit of a discount on checkout, which was nice. It’s not their fault but you should know what you’re getting into before you book. I hope they resolve it soon. It’d be an amazing hotel if they did.

Went with work friends and our spouses for a conference and the hotel is magical! Best location in old town Edinburgh. Everyone was so nice. Views from the terrace were amazing. Beds are comfy. Alex at the commons club bar was great! Really enjoyed the stay.
