The hotel has a very convenient location — just steps away from the Royal Mile and close to all major sights. The common areas are stylish and welcoming, and the concierge team was excellent — very helpful and attentive throughout our stay. However, we encountered a major issue with our room. Although it was beautifully designed and spacious (around 300 sq ft), it had absolutely no storage space — not a single shelf or drawer for clothing. For a four-night stay, this was extremely inconvenient. We asked the front desk several times to switch rooms, but were told the hotel was fully booked and no alternative was available. Additionally, the room layout was quite odd. Upon entering, the first thing you see is a vanity located directly in the corridor, which also connects the shower and toilet areas. After a warm shower, stepping into that cold corridor was not pleasant. Overall, while the location and service were great, the room design and lack of basic functionality made our stay less comfortable than expected. I hope the management takes note and avoids assigning rooms without storage to guests staying multiple nights.

Super happy with my choice to stay at the Virgin Edinburgh. I did a lot of research on accommodations and while I may have preferred something less corporate and authentic to the area, this was the best decision for my situation. I was going with a friend that I had never traveled with before, so we needed double beds. The inventory was very low for anything decent with that setup and while this was a little pricey, I think in the end it was worth it. I almost ended up in New Town, and I'm glad I stayed on the Old Town side. It's easy to walk everywhere, including new town and it just felt more quintessential to be right there on Victoria street. The location, the space, the terrace - all the features were a big positive. I would definitely stay here again.

We LOVED the Virgin Hotel in Edinburgh. It was a unique and well designed hotel in a phenomenal location. Well appointed and designed rooms, with great amenities. The bar had very fun cocktails and the concierge was fantastic. The staff were superb. We do not have one complaint and I am a very picky traveler! I included room requests when booking and it was clear the staff reviewed and accommodated. I especially appreciated the local touches in the room. While I did not try it, they delivered fresh and locally sourced milk each day for coffee/tea. Quite memorable. Highly recommend this hotel if traveling to Edinburgh. It was our favorite accommodation across a 8-night trip to multiple cities in Ireland and then Edinburgh.

We had a lovely stay at the Virgin Hotel Edinburgh. The location is exceptional—right in the heart of the city and perfectly situated for exploring everything Edinburgh has to offer. The rooms were charming, stylish, and comfortable, offering great value for the price. The breakfast was a particular highlight with plentiful menu options and a varied buffet, all of which were delicious. One member of our party did hear some music in the early morning hours, but that's to be expected when you're staying in the middle of such a vibrant city. It's a minor trade-off for the unbeatable location. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience and would happily stay here again.

The stay was wonderful from beginning to end. The warm welcome from the staff who quickly got us settled in our room with a glass of prosecco was a great start and the chamber was roomy, clean and beautiful. There is so much to explore at the hotel (check out the rooftop terrace) and the location couldn’t be better.
