Best Hotel In Edinburgh
Location, Location. Location The Virgin Hotel is simply luxurious , quirky & eclectic & the best location to stay in Edinburgh . Located conveniently on cobble stoned Victoria Street we were within walking distance of everything we wanted to do . The Royal Mile & Edinburgh Castle are just around the corner & the historic Grassmarket at the end of the street . We stayed here for a week & the entire staff could not have been more friendly & helpful . Craig was especially kind & helpful . The room was perfect & no detail was overlooked down to the daily Caramel bars & sparkling water in the room . Our room was spacious , & lovely & was quite as a mouse It’s 5 stars for me & id give it more if I could .

Overall lovely hotel and staff were very friendly, however, if you are going for happy hour at the Commons Club, check with them for the timings as it’s not correct on the app / email.

Simply wonderful, surpassed expectations
I’ve travelled extensively & stayed in a lot of varying levels of hotels. The Virgin hotel Edinburgh was simply superb in all areas. Location, comfort, facilities, quality of room amenities & cleanliness. (& I’m considered fussy) The room configuration was also great & not the traditional layout which provided more space. Highly recommend.

Super fantastic hotel, great staff, fantastic rooms with super comfy bed, mini bar and alot of extras, breakfast was amazing plenty of choice would not hesitate to go back

Not what I’d expect from a luxury brand hotel
Noise pollution in room was unbearable. There was a bar opposite that had screaming customers until around 3am. The room balcony door and windows didn’t offer any sound proofing at all. Room had a cigarette butt and small change stuffed down the side of the bed too. Disgusting !!
