A lovely resort for a relaxing getaway but not completely up to 5 Star standards in places. We went with our friends and their daughter after having to change our original plans to go back to the Grosvenor House/Royal Meridien in Dubai. On the surface the resorts looks like other Kurzner Group Hotels (Such as The One & Only Dubai) but the levels or service and maintenance are not really at that level. Buffet was good, not excellent. Many restaurants were closed during our stay due to renovations. House keeping was inconsistent. (No turndown for the majority of our stay and I had to repeatedly ask for flannels etc) The water in our room ran dirty and was not that hot until we asked. After that the bath water was still dirty but it was hotter. Rooms are spacious with amazing views but a bit tired and in need of updating. Horseriding was a highlight of our trip. The main Stable guy was fantastic. Muhammed in the Buffet also needs a mention as he was exceptional. Staff trying was at times obviously lacking as it wasn't that professional although everyone was was very polite and trying to help. It just wants that organised. Pool area is lovely but maintenance was being done during our stay so often there was some noise and drilling etc. Pool is beautiful but cold as it isn't heated. The separate kids pool looks fabulous. The Club house of the Golf course was an amazing settling for lunch and would highly recommend visiting there. The spa and gym were also fabulous with beautiful views. There is a lot to do there but as we were off season not a lot were in use. When we stayed March/April we all felt we needed more jumpers for the evenings. (Inside is fine but walking from the room to the restaurant was cold and windy as the resort where the rooms are is open air.) Overall we would maybe return for a short stay but not expect perfection/top 5 star quality. It wouldn't be ranked within our top holiday hotels which is a shame as we all felt it had huge potential to be amazing...

Muhammed, Med Salem and Nabil in Market Place for dinner are excellent and provide brilliant service. They have made great efforts for our family's dinning including for my daughter's birthday.
