Taking your breath away with its undulating sensuality, the Hotel Marqués De Riscal is a work of modern genius. This titanium-swathed monument was designed by internationally celebrated architect Frank O. Gehry, making it his second masterpiece in Spain after Bilbao's lauded Guggenheim Museum. It is beautifully located in the heart of Rioja wine country, and its dancing lines emulate the curves of the vine-laden hills. From innovative Rioja cuisine to a Caudalie Vinotherapie Spa, this eloquent retreat offers a feast for all the senses.

Luxury Collection, indeed. This hotel's 5-star rating is well-earned. The exterior, of course, is spectacular. The interior is interesting at every turn. The staff are cordial and helpful - every one. Rooms are spotlessly clean and very quiet. The restaurants have odd hours compared to US norms, but, hey, it's Spain. The delicious food is worth waiting for. I highly recommend that you take the tour of the adjacent winery.

If you are a wine lover, this is the BEST hotel on the planet. As a Marriott Bonvoy member, my loyalty was rewarded and the treatment from everyone starting with the Valet driver, the front office attendants and beyond could not have been any better. Congratulations to the staff and management. My wife and I needed some time off after my race in Valencia and chose this property as I am also a fan of Marques de Riscal. We were upgraded to the Presidential Suite. Very nice room, I must admit. Private Balcony overseeing the vineyard. Spacious and extremely luxurious. The architecture of this property is unique and unlike anything you will find anywhere else on the planet. Restaurant Service catered to each and every need. The wine tour was phenomenal and is a must when staying at the property. The Spa is first-world. I highly recommend the Cabernet Body Scrub. Some of the vintages of Baron de Chirel were unavailable, but there were plenty to taste. Hands down, this is the best Bonvoy Property in the world, and coming from me, that’s a bold statement.

A Luxurious and Unforgettable Stay in Elciego From the moment we arrived at Hotel Marqués de Riscal, we felt truly welcomed and pampered. The level of service and attention to detail was exceptional, making our stay feel genuinely special. The hotel’s design is stunning—modern, artistic, and seamlessly integrated into the beautiful Rioja wine region. The rooms were immaculate, stylish, and incredibly comfortable, with views that made every morning feel magical. The reception staff were outstanding: professional, friendly, and always ready to help. Every request was handled promptly and with care, which made us feel truly valued as guests. Breakfast was a highlight, not just for the delicious offerings but for the warm and attentive service from Luz Marina and Blanca. They made each morning feel personal and relaxing. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our stay and are already planning to return. If you're looking for a luxurious escape surrounded by world-class design and hospitality, this is the place.

Had this hotel on my bucket list for a while and it didn’t disappoint. We stayed in a premium spa terrace room which had amazing views! All the staff were friendly helpful and cheerful - especially in the restaurants. We did the wine tour which was included in the stay which was excellent - the guide Jose brilliant and enthusiastic. Breakfast and our meal in the 1860 restaurant both of a high standard and the portion sizes very generous. Many thanks for a memorable stay.

Second time here. Decided to stay in the way up to San Sebastián. Ambassador Member. Positives - fantastic location, in a winery and if that’s your thing that’s great. Breakfast service is good although very limited. But staff are great. Where it falls down is lack or inadequate response. Check in was very poor by what looked like an inexperienced guy. No acknowledgment of Ambassador status and it went downhill from there. We were upgraded but away from the view that we had booked for. Room was larger but with a hotel view and I’m probably now one that appreciates its architecture. There was an offer to move us when I raised it after 2 days but that was only after I was annoyed at the other issues. No space available for dinner (on a Tuesday), hours to get hangers brought to the room reflected long response times via the App, incorrect or a failure to interpret a menu and indeed no food available, when we did use the restaurant the manager (probably told to attend to us) missed part of the order as he didn’t write it down. Food good in the 1860 restaurant. Again, service good. Spa and Pool are nice but once a few kids are in there it’s like a playground. Difficult to relax - but that’s fine. It is what it is. Overall - just disappointing. It’s expensive. Probably 2/3 days is enough as El Ciego has nothing. But good restaurants in Lagaurdia, but many close in the week. Would I stay again. Nope.
