My husband and I have never been away without our children before, and after 25½ years of marriage we also never had a honeymoon. As a surprise Christmas gift, my husband booked this holiday for us — something that took him a whole year to pay for as it was a huge expense for us. After serving 24 years in the British Army, this break was truly deserved, and I can honestly say it has been perfect from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, every member of staff has been absolutely amazing. The housekeeping team looked after us so well, the drivers were friendly and full of great trip ideas, and the front desk staff made us feel so welcome throughout our stay. The food has been incredible, the pools are beautiful with stunning views, and the gym facilities are excellent with helpful staff always ready to assist. Everything about this holiday has made us feel relaxed, cared for, and able to truly enjoy precious time together. Thank you for giving us such a special and unforgettable experience. Arrived in torrential rain late in the evening of Sunday 3rd May to be welcomed by Tamara the concierge who told us about the hotel and invited us to have some food in the restaurant as we had been travelling all day. We then got back to reception to find out bags had been left outside in the rain - not a great start! Our room was probably smaller than expected but was perfectly located about a quarter of the way up a very, very steep hill. If you are not steady on your feet this could be a problem. The food and service was good in the main but some of the waiting staff in the main restaurant were not the most attentive or aware. Then, a couple of days into our stay we were hit with an influx of requests for tips! I must admit to being dumbfounded as there was no explanation why this was happening. We like to tip at the end of holiday for good service not for there to be an expectation that you will tip when poor service has been received! Must do better in communicating this to guests. I kept receiving an error when booking the a la carte restaurants despite the booking being successful. This needs looking looked at. Would I stay here again - possibly but some improvement needed to score 5/5!

5 stars – Absolutely outstanding! We stayed as a couple at Domes Aulus Elounda in May 2026 to celebrate a special birthday. I knew we had chosen the best hotel for us the moment we arrived. The welcome was warm and authentically friendly, and check-in was swift and efficient – perfect after a long journey. The service throughout our stay was splendid. Everything felt very personal and bespoke, tailored exactly to our wants and needs. The hotel itself has an understated luxury while still being comfortable and relaxed. The surroundings are breathtakingly beautiful and wonderfully tranquil – the perfect setting for a relaxed, memorable escape. Our room was beautiful: spacious, stylish, with stunning views from our balcony. Even the small touches, like the excellent selection of Olivia Thinks toiletries made us feel truly pampered (and a bit daft for bringing our own shampoos!) We could want for nothing. The staff were so friendly and genuinely cared about their guests. They went out of their way to make our holiday unforgettable and to make us feel extra special. We will definitely return and we’ll be recommending it to friends and family. For almost 25 years now, with only a few small breaks in between, we have been returning to this beautiful hotel and every single visit feels special in its own unique way. The location itself is simply magical. Over the years the resort has evolved, changed, and grown beautifully, yet it has never lost its peaceful atmosphere, the feeling of relaxation and true escape that made us fall in love with it from the very beginning. But beyond the stunning views and beautiful surroundings, what truly makes this place exceptional are its people. People like George are genuinely rare. For so many years now, he has welcomed us with the same passion, care, and professionalism and somehow with even more positive energy every season. He always makes us feel not just like returning guests, but like family coming back home. Bravo to Domes for continuing to grow as a company while still keeping people at the very heart of hospitality. As George always says, people are the real center of everything and you can truly feel that here in every detail, every interaction, and every moment of the stay. Fist holiday for me and my boyfriend first time away from home ! Crete is so beautiful!We stayed in Domes aulus and a comfort room - every morning the blue elounda sea woke us up ! We loved everything, the food , the views , the staff . We want to say thank you to the young receptionists ( sorry I don’t remember the names) the concierge team, the guys at the island restaurant and to chryssa for being so attentive! See you soon guys
