Villa was a bit tired. Dishwasher tray had no wheels and was loose on the wall. Fridge door loose at bottom. Kitchen was poorly supplied - no kitchen knives, no colander, no saucepans, we even had to buy our own sponge and fairy liquid. Pool had yellowy-green discolouration around the edges. Hot water didn’t work at times and the electricity cut out a couple of times. Biggest issue is that, despite paying for a presidential villa, the villa next door had first floor rooms directly overlooking our pool area, meaning we had no privacy at all. We found this disgraceful considering how the villas are marketed and the amount we paid. While the staff were sympathetic and gave us a free lunch for the issues with the kitchen, we were offered no compensation for the invasion of privacy.

room 602 After 16 hours here I have been left no choice but to leave this review based on my experience so far.. this may change, in which case I will update this review. We currently have no hot water as apparently the hotel has experienced a problem with the water pressure to the entire resort. Reception asked us to wait an hour at 6.30pm and at 8pm we’ve still got no hot water. They can’t offer us anywhere to have a hot shower which I find extremely hard to believe. So, we’ve missed our first night out in Elounda. Also, worth mentioning that there were no sun loungers available/free for me and my family and Zero service by the pool. Had to find a waiter inside and ask for a drink. Same for lunch. Lunch plates left next to us for three hours, never collected. Wasps everywhere due to this. Shocked tbh

The location is amazing, the people working in the hotel are hospital, generous, incredible. George, the manager in the restaurant - he is sameone who will absolutely go extra miles to make guests happy. The villa itself has everything you need - starting from the kitchen appliances and utensils and finishing with the pool with salty water and wonderful view. The food is delicious and the nature is beautiful. Minuses: if you take full board - be ready that the menu in the restaurant is the same, it doesn’t change and the choice is limited. If you go for 3 days - it is fine, but If it is a week or more - you will be bored with the same food if not slightly irritated. George and the team will do everything to diversify your meals though. The beach - it is 15 minutes of drive by a comfy minimus. However the beach is small, the bottom is not pleasant at all, covered with stones. There are beautiful beaches at the Crete but without care it can be complicated to travel. The villa is amazing, although it is quite costly and, to be honest, needs some repairing works, particularly the bathrooms. It feels like the hotel needs a more committed senior management who would take good care of the hotel employees and the guests. Specials thanks to the employees of the hotel and to George in particular who love their motherland and are committed to what they do, for making our stay joyful. All the best!

Superb hospitality, Despina and all her colleagues made sure we are happy and content. recommending the sea front villa for families and friends looking for a place to themselves. We were a family of 7, 5 adults, 17 and 12. we stayed 2 nights in the sea front villa. this is a PERFECT villa. spacious, clean, beds everything is just great, and George took care of any thing we needed (he is in charge of the beach). most of the time we have the private beach to ourselves. we played football on the huge lawn, drinks by the private pool. take note that the main hotel is a 12 minute drive. We took a breakfast only to avoid driving few times and back to the hotel. We played tennis and padel in the Golf hotel next to the hotel with assistance with the reservation via the hotels reception. the SPA is small but facilities work perfect. the Gym is very small and has a limited amount of possibilities. still we had the place to ourselves which was very good. Best coffee we had in Crete (from the bar). breakfast was very good, not a huge buffet like you see in the big hotels, however was very high quality like we had our table waiting for us, fresh self squeezed orange juice, huge omelet.

We spent 15 days at Elounda Gulf Villas, 9 nights in the Presidential Villa (Minos) and 6 in an Imperial One Bed Room Spa Villa. The villas are very spacious, the view is breathtaking and the private infinity pool is very large. Inside, the chairs and sofas are uncomfortable and the mattresses of the bed were too hard for us. The housekeeping and the maids tried everything to make them more comfortable for us. The whole staff was very friendly. Our sincere thanks go to George who is an excellent restaurant manager and his crew in the restaurant Argo. Nevertheless, we wouldn't go back! The all-inclusive-package is only a "light" one. The worst was that the menu and the meals didn't change at all!!! Neither for breakfast, nor for lunch AND not for dinner! Therefore, we would have to eat always the same meals during our 15 days of stay. As we didn't like to eat always the same every day, we had to leave the hotel for dinner in Elounda or Agios Nikolaos. The next negative item was the so-called "upgrade" which was offered to us after our arrival. The upgrade to the Presidential Villa was valid only for 9 days, afterwards we had to move to our initial booked villa. It's not very relaxing if you had to pack the bags during your holiday. Furthermore, we're disappointed at the "late check out" which was also included in our "VIP package". The late check out that Elounda Gulf offered us was 1 p.m. instead of 11 a.m. even though we've announced in advance by email that our flight will leave at 7 p.m. and we've additonally requested for a late check out when we arrived at the reception desk. They told us one day before that it's not possible to stay longer in the villa than 1 p.m. as other guests will arrive the same day. However, our maid told us that the next guests will arrive the next day by noon. We felt kidded!!!
