Alila Marea Beach Resort Encinitas

Lovely resort right on the beach. Food in Vaga restaurant was great. We hired the bikes and went all the way down to Del Mar. Staff are super friendly and helpful. A special shout out to Marty, who gave us some great recommendations of places to go see / eat. Would definitely come back.

I cannot put into words how AMAZING and healing our time here was! The staff is simply incredible! We travel all over the world and this time decided we wanted to not deal with airports for our anniversary. I'm so happy we found Alila! This goes down in the books as one of our best ever getaways! Let's talk about VAGA the restaurant! This meal with a view was INSANE, farm to table food so fresh, and the best bread and special butter we've ever had! Yoga in the morning with a great instructor beach side, the best way to start the day, and then the SPA... Spa Alila is more than massage experiences, it's healing!!! My husband and I both experienced the enrapture and it has everything and more! Amy, so intuitive and perfect for him, he doesn't easily relax, but she put him at ease right away! Jade, Jade, Jade!! All I can say is thank you for the best experience I've ever had in any country! Truly, we are recharged, rejuvenated, and had a magical 26th wedding anniversary! Thank you to everyone from check in, oh and I can't end this without thanking the security guard on duty! He's kind and on IT!

Great location with great views. Our go to resort when visiting Encinitas. Has a pool, sauna, cold plunge, comfortable bed, and amazing shower.

This resort is beautiful. We had a fire pit coastal view studio suite for only one night. To short but we loved it. We would pick the same room again if we could. Bed was super comfortable, room had so many nice touches. All of the staff we encountered went over and above to make our stay special. Food and service at the pocket bar was great. We had dinner at Vaga. Top notch. Couldn’t have asked for better food and service! Front desk management also very accommodating. We will return.

Had a wonderful one night stay at Alila. As a globalist, we were upgraded to a coastline view room with a fire pit. What a wonderful upgrade. We really enjoyed the fire pit both that night and early the next morning before we left. Dinner at Vaga was excellent. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to eat breakfast in the morning. We are still in the San Diego area staying at another Hyatt property, and we’re disappointed that we didn’t extend our Alila stay for the whole weekend. Will definitely be back when we are in the area.
