I do really love a Hyatt. The location is 5* holy cow the views! The amenities were great and the staff was very nice. The room was well appointed. The layout lends itself to privacy. My personal things that I judge by and found it lacking- jacuzzi doesn’t open until 9 am. (Who doesn’t want to start their morning with a coffee in the jacuzzi overlooking the ocean!) Pool food closed at 6 pm and the paper in my room as well as online said 7. I did not want to go to Vaga for $$ to eat so that was disappointing. Some of the awesome amenities were the E-bikes and helmets available for no charge and the breakfast was full of unique tastes that were very well executed. The beach at low tide is great. At high tide is rock/pebble. That is how beaches go so keep in mind when they say resort this is not a sand beach for the kids. Not a comment on the property at all! Just about managing expectations.

Had the best time here on our honeymoon. All of the features were great, staff and customer service was amazing. Pool was great and all of the food was just perfect. They even brought us champagne and a dessert to our room right after we checked in, with a hand written note. We will be back!

Great weekend away for couples. I’d would NOT bring my kids to this hotel. The vibe is very relaxed and i wouldn’t want my kids ruining that for everyone. It is a beautiful hotel and has a killer pool. This isn’t a party pool or family pool; this is a grab a book and truly relax pool. And you can get a good craft cocktail poolside with fresh ingredients. Room service was delicious and fast which we loved.

Personally, I don't think this hotel is worth the rate. A category 7 hotel at a thousand per night doesn't even offer a shower cap, even holiday inn provides it in the room. The shower was moldy. The bed sleeps hot. I can hear people walking on the hallway and the upstairs guest footsteps were very loud. However, the view is nice. The welcome gift is creative. Gym is nice. The valet is friendly but didn't offer to charge my Tesla. Restaurant serves okay food. Dinner needs reservation.

Hotel is very nice and at a great location. Vaga bar served good drinks but avoid breakfast at Vaga. Wait time for food was so long and lacked flavor. Disappointing for a Hyatt Category 7 hotel. Next time I’m in Encinitas, I’ll stay at Park Hyatt Aviara.
