Had a business convention at Omni Carlsbad, and decided to bring my family because of all the kid friendly amenities. It worked out so well! The kid program at the hotel was great. My son (who’s 3.5 years old) begged to go even on the days when weren’t going to take him. I was able to go to my seminars during the day and know my kids were taken care of and happy. Also the pool was amazing and perfect for families. The hotel was nice, food was good, and staff was super friendly and helpful!

Just an absolutely great experience from lodging to food to the staff. I did not realize how much of a big deal this resort was until I arrived. Thank you

Bad Room Conditions: My baby and I got multiple bug bites during our stay which was very concerning. Front desk said it was “handled” but the next day I still saw mosquitos and spiders which I took care of the situation myself. The bathroom had no ventilation, and the entire space smelled of mildew. The furniture was filthy- dust and grime had clearly built up over years, I especially saw it in the nightstand, it was gross. The shower leaked, forcing us to use the bath towels to soak up water from the floor. Even the balcony door looked like it was falling apart. Poor Housekeeping: Previous guests’ shaving stubble wasn’t completely cleaned off the sink when we checked in. Our tissue box was never replaced, and after the first night, they only replenished two towels each night for our family of four. I had to share my bath towel with my kids and nightly would have to use the towels after to deal with the leaking shower. Bar Traza: The food was fine, but the service was disorganized. Despite having a reservation, there was no host at the entrance, and a staff just pointed us to a table to seat ourselves. In addition to the long wait for someone to finally help us at our table, I had to ask for basic items like menus, utensils and water the separate times the waiter came back to us. The waiter was very busy and I recognize he did his best to help which I appreciated, but the place was clearly understaffed. To make matters worse, not only was the bug issue in our hotel room but it was also an issue in the restaurant, as I had to shoo, what looked like, little flies or mosquitos away from our food. Poor customer service from management: One of the most disappointing things was the lack of follow-through from the Assistant Director of Front Office, William or Tanner Hall (his name wasn’t even consistent in his email address and email signature). After our unpleasant stay, he emailed me saying they wanted to make it right. I followed up many times but never heard back after his initial response. He could have easily fixed this and totally turned things around, but his lack of response only made a bad experience worse. Overall: Hard to believe this is a 4-star hotel. The only positive note goes to Maly at the front desk and the bellmen, who were the only staff that showed genuine care.

Came to the hotel with my family for a work conference being hosted there. Amazing family friendly options and activities. Food was good, views were great, loved the pool area, and the spa was amazing!

I came here for the first time for our Annual AAED Conference. The hotel staff go above and beyond to ensure your stay is as enjoyable as possible. The staff member who stood out to me the most was Deborah Brown. She was incredible to work with while accommodating all guests' requests. Deborah is responsive, kind and made our team feel safe in her hands.

Used the Edge adult pool for the first time. This really made the trip. I loved the view, the seating, the pool and the number of jacuzzis.
