Its Carlsbad address makes the resort easily accessible from San Diego or La Jolla, and a simple two-hour drive from Los Angeles. Starting with its accommodations, La Costa Resort and Spa exceeds the standard of luxury, offering guests a lush ambiance, spacious layouts, richly appointed furnishings, and oversize marble spa showers. I was visiting San Diego to attend a friends Marine Corps retirement ceremony. This was my first time staying at an Omni property and I will be returning! The resort is beautiful, the grounds and rooms were exceptionally clean. I ate breakfast at Vue restaurant both days and Vanessa my server was fantastic and she made my stay memorable.

My husband and I enjoyed all that Omni had to offer. We slept well, we enjoyed the entertainment, the food and beverage and all the service staff were kind and helpful! We rented e-bikes and there is enough to see and do so plan for about 3 hours for a ride! We enjoyed our experience and we think you will too!

We had an amazing experience here for my Company Offsite. The Omni staff was incredible to work with. Betty, our Event Director, was attentive to each need and request I had along with her entire team that was assigned to me. I wish I could remember all of their names because they all deserve a shout out. Jose or Joe from food and beverage was amazing and so was my attendant Isabella, she was there for every need. Galen and John from Pinnacle A/V were the most amazing pair of electrical/power men I've ever worked with. They deserve huge kudos. This property is truly incredible. It's relaxing, gorgeous and proper for business or family fun. It's extremely well kept and every single staff member is kind and there for you. The Marketplace food is a fabulous grab n go spot for breakfast sandwiches, tuna wraps, iced tea, banana bread lattes and poke bowls. Bar Traza is a great late night spot for a bite and cocktails with your plus one or the whole group. I am in love with this property. It's fabulous in every way. You never need to leave. I also love that I can bring my golden retriever with me too.

My friends and I swam in 7/8 of the pools on the property and it was amazing! All of the staff were extremely kind and helpful (shoutout to Cody, Dave, Maly, and Juan)! There was always something to do and it was the perfect vacation spot. I would love to come back!

I’ve stayed at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa four times over the last six years, and until now, each visit was excellent—that’s why we returned. Unfortunately, our most recent 4-day stay will be our last. Customer service is virtually non-existent. Upon check-in, we weren’t given the welcome bags for kids and were told they’d be sent to our room—never received them. Housekeeping left our hotel room door open, and later, a maintenance worker knocked once, then entered our room while my family was inside, claiming he needed to remove a water bottle from behind the TV (which is mounted on the wall). The beds were so uncomfortable we ended our trip early and checked out Wednesday night instead of Thursday morning just to get a decent night’s sleep. We were also supposed to receive a $100 credit, but it never appeared on our invoice. Other disappointments: No pool towels at the pool near our rooms—we had to walk to the main pool to get them and inform staff that our pool had none. Housekeeping and service issues went unaddressed. The resort is marketed as high-end, but it no longer feels that way. To be fair, the property grounds are nicely maintained and landscaped. But overall, Omni La Costa has clearly fallen off and is no longer the luxury experience it once was. With so many true high-end hotels nearby, we won’t be returning.

Used the Edge adult pool for the first time. This really made the trip. I loved the view, the seating, the pool and the number of jacuzzis.
