Omni La Costa Resort and Spa

I was at the Omni La Costa for a conference. The property is enormous (I believe someone said 400 acres - it had a bit of a camp feel; scattered around the golf course). My room, located in Carlsbad felt like it was in lower LA. The people were wonderful, there were golf cart transports to get you around and that could be called for rides (and then you felt compelled to tip helpers). I got many steps in walking from outer LA to the conference center. It was a beautiful walk with sweet smells. My room was gorgeous. It overlooked the end of the golf course, a play ground. It had a sitting area, a bedroom, a dressing area with closets and makeup table and mirrors, it had one sink. My issue: that sink was about at my neck (and I’m about 5’4”). If you’re male or a tall female- it would not be an issue. It was difficult for me to use. I don’t usually have any issues (I’m an average height female, …maybe at the high end of the petite scale). Definitely not contemplating women on the smaller size here! There was the ordinary “save the planet, reuse your towels “ card but there wasn’t any towel bar to hang a towel on. Zero. None. For a hand towel or a bath towel for the gorgeous bath tub or separate shower. Towels sat on the toilet seat. There wasn’t a hook to be found for the bathrobe that wasn’t provided (I don’t need a bathrobe but hook? Towel bar? Something… I need it to hang toiletries). So, poorly designed bathroom but lovely room. Details are really lacking.

We were so impressed with the outstanding service and friendliness of everyone at the Omni—from the restaurant staff to housekeeping and the groundskeepers. Every person we encountered was warm, kind, and always greeted us with a smile and a cheerful hello. It made our stay truly enjoyable.

Spent my birthday there and had an excellent massage, spa amenities were wonderful - probably the nicest spa I've been too and not one bit cramped, servers at Vue are delightful, and they even gave me a room upgrade without asking. If it was on the ocean it'd be perfect but pretty darn close!

Omni La Costa Resort is a gorgeous place with amazing tropical landscaping, mediterranean architecture, lots of palm trees with sprawling golf course views! It's was a delight to have stayed at this resort. Very kind and friendly staff. The resort had beautiful pools, restaurants and condominium options too.

My running shoes went missing from my room during my recent stay. I reported the issue to the staff and requested that the shoes be found or that I be compensated, but I have not received any response or follow-up.
