We stayed here for 6 nights during our visit to Rocky Mountain National Park and were very happy with our choice. The staff we interacted with were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was phenomenal, and they went to great lengths to accommodate my wife's Gluten allergy. In addition, there was always coffee, tea, pastries and other snacks available 24/7. For the room, we stayed in the "Shooting Star" in the main building. It was spacious, very clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was also very good. Because of the location, we were also able to see Elk come right on to the property. The location was also only about 5 minutes from the main Beaver Meadows entrance station of Rocky Mountain National Park.

We have stayed here 7 or 8 times since 2019. The wonderful location, beautiful cabins, and friendly staff kept drawing us back year after year. With the recent changes in ownership something has changed and the inn has lost the vibe that made the place stand out. In fact, this was the first time we didn’t rush to make reservations for the following year. Let me start by saying that the location and accommodations are still as charming as always. It is an easy drive to both the entrance to RMNP and the town of Estes Park and many local attractions and restaurants yet it feels like it’s a world away. The quiet location along the river is a breath of fresh air. The staff are friendly and always helpful. The biggest change was breakfast. Previously, breakfast was sit down with table service and every morning was a surprise. We never knew what to expect and the multi course experience was a highlight of our stay each year. Having all the guests eating in the same room lead to delightful conversations and a sense of community among the guests. Now, every morning is essentially the same. A self serve buffet with sausage, bacon, some hash brown thing, and an egg soufflé (slightly different each morning) placed in hot trays that left everything warm at best. There was a different yogurt each day along with mixed fruit but it was all similar to any hotel that serves a buffet breakfast. The charm, and unique menu items from prior years is gone. Also, the dining tables are now located in two different rooms in order to accommodate the buffet so that the convivial dining experience among the guests has taken a hit. Finally, the cabins are no longer serviced at all during the day. We’re not looking for beds to made or for the rooms to be swept clean. But having trash removed and replacing coffee making supplies and other simple accommodations shouldn’t be too much to ask. This is the first year our visit was disappointing.

Beautiful place! Lovely staff and great accommodations. The room was perfect, as were the breakfasts. Lots of wildlife too.

We loved our stay in the charming Mountain Rose room, with wrap around views. We did not miss having a private deck because there was easy access to seating around the main house. Our favourite place to relax with a mug of coffee or glass of wine, was by the river, watching the baby squirrels chase each other. Every consideration is given to guest comfort, including soft drinks in the mini fridge and cereal bars. Although no hot drinks facility in the room, good coffee and hot water was always available downstairs from early morning, along with delicious afternoon cakes. Comfortable bed, great shower, fluffy towels and robes and amazing breakfast! Thank you so much for your very kind and thoughtful hospitality!!

We stayed at Riversong (Morning Glory room) for 5 nights. The location, wildlife, scenery....out of this world. You would be hard pressed to find a greater spot that is not in the hustle and bustle of Estes during the busy season. It would be a 5 out of 5 except the service was lacking. For nearly $500/night, I had higher expectations. A few things that shouldn't happen at this price point: - One morning at breakfast, the workers (guys doing construction on property) were cleaning out the food ahead and guests take all outdoor seating. This is a small place barely big enough for the 10-12 guests they can accomodate, but guests come first, and employees should not be sharing lines or tables with guests. - Another day, we show up for breakfast at 8 am and the door was closed. We opened it and an employee rushes in to ask us to leave as it is not quite time. Her watch was off and she did apologize, but then came back to our table later to confirm the room we were staying in. It was accusatory (as if we weren't guests) and a little awkward. We'd been there several days already. - The same employee asked us again to confirm our room the next morning at breakfast. - Hours after checking out, we got a call "You do know check out is 11 am?" We explained we checked out hours ago, then there were words with someone else on their end (they had the wrong room) and they promptly hung up on us. Service just felt a little disheveled. The location is fantastic! Would we go back, probably. It is not off the table. :)
