Reviews for InterContinental Cascais-Estoril

A very enjoyable stay

Having stayed in the Hotel Atlantico, the previous incarnation of the Intercontinental, several times for work trips about 40 years ago, we though it would be interesting to experience the current version for a few days’ break. We were not disappointed. The building now combines about 100 rooms on the lower floors, with luxury apartments above. The rooms are comfortable, well equipped and quiet, with an extremely comfortable bed. The view from our room in all directions fabulous. My wife said that the pool and surroundings were also well maintained, and well serviced. The staff are discrete, but very good at their job, and the breakfast more than adequate. The hotel is within easy walking distance of both Estoril and Cascais, where there are some very good restaurants, and things to see. The only, small, negative is that the train line passes between the hotel and the promenade, but there is both a tunnel and crossing to get there. The beach is about 300m away. All in all, a very enjoyable stay, well worth the price.

Low class property for a high price! Too high!

This hotel is located in a sketchy area, is EXTREMELY overpriced, and should be avoided. There are beaches on the Atlantic Ocean within walking distance but seaweed and trash covers the sand. Subway train runs constantly out your window. Pile driving happens nearby all day long.

Clean and modern, spacious rooms, large bathrooms, large balcony sitting area outside, and beautiful restaurant with sea views. Quiet hotel, beds and pillows very comfortable. Located near promenade which takes you into Cascais and beach areas. Wonderful stay and would recommend staying here.

Luxurious and comfortable, amazing hotel.

Probably one of the most tranquil and sublime beach front hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Almost boutique size with less than 100 rooms with discreet and courteous service. Our arrival at the hotel was slightly marred as we had to wait around ten minutes before being acknowledged that we were waiting to check in, even despite being an ambassador member. Once checked in were escorted to our room and given a tour, along the way he explained how your room key gives you access to the accommodation floors and lifts. The room itself was spotless and incredibly welcoming, huge comfortable bed with high end bed linen and beautiful decor. The bathroom was huge with bathtub, double vanity, walk in shower and walk in toilet, floor to ceiling marble with an rbg adjustable light in the shower that was a nice touch. Plenty of intercontinental toiletries dotted around the bathroom. Towels were large but not very fluffy or high end in my opinion. Needless to say the housekeeping staff kept the room and bathroom clean along with an evening turn down service. Access to the pool terrace required your room key keeping it as a private and exclusive oasis. Plenty of sun beds and no early morning hogging meant you could get one at any time of day. A nice touch where they sanitised the sun beds after being vacated and reset with clean pool towels straight away, the pool terrace service was again friendly and respectful without being intrusive. The afternoon ice lollies are a great touch. Breakfast is served in the restaurant overlooking the pool and ocean. A decent spread with plenty of choice and items to order off the menu that were all included. Again the service was very efficient and friendly. Overall this is a great little luxury hotel that is run by a very competent team.

One of the best places we stayed in during our time in Cascais. The rooms was spacious neat and had a jaw dropping view of the Atlantic. Service was top notch and the food a wonderful experience. I would not hesitate to recommend as it is great value for money.
