Tranquil

From the moment you enter the lobby of this hotel, an air of calm & tranquility greets you. Set over just three floors of 59 rooms, it offers an ideal location for your stay. Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, the views are spectacular in either direction. About 25 mins stroll to Cascais or 2 mins on the train if you prefer. Or in the other direction Estoril beckons, again just a short stroll away. You are spoilt with places to visit, eat and soak up the relaxed surroundings, particularly in Cascais. Our room, on the third floor was spacious, modern and offered excellent amenities throughout. With a large furnished balcony, it was the perfect retreat at the end of each day. Sleep quality is on point , as very comfortable large bed and extremely quiet. We used the pool area to relax and grab lunch. Well maintained, sun beds a plenty with relaxed atmosphere. There is a small gym, adequate enough for your stay, but if you run or enjoy walking then the promenade awaits you!! We loved the tranquil setting, views and the sound of the train passing through. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!!

A very enjoyable stay

Having stayed in the Hotel Atlantico, the previous incarnation of the Intercontinental, several times for work trips about 40 years ago, we though it would be interesting to experience the current version for a few days’ break. We were not disappointed. The building now combines about 100 rooms on the lower floors, with luxury apartments above. The rooms are comfortable, well equipped and quiet, with an extremely comfortable bed. The view from our room in all directions fabulous. My wife said that the pool and surroundings were also well maintained, and well serviced. The staff are discrete, but very good at their job, and the breakfast more than adequate. The hotel is within easy walking distance of both Estoril and Cascais, where there are some very good restaurants, and things to see. The only, small, negative is that the train line passes between the hotel and the promenade, but there is both a tunnel and crossing to get there. The beach is about 300m away. All in all, a very enjoyable stay, well worth the price.

Low class property for a high price! Too high!

This hotel is located in a sketchy area, is EXTREMELY overpriced, and should be avoided. There are beaches on the Atlantic Ocean within walking distance but seaweed and trash covers the sand. Subway train runs constantly out your window. Pile driving happens nearby all day long.

Clean and modern, spacious rooms, large bathrooms, large balcony sitting area outside, and beautiful restaurant with sea views. Quiet hotel, beds and pillows very comfortable. Located near promenade which takes you into Cascais and beach areas. Wonderful stay and would recommend staying here.
