Reviews for Nanuku Resort

Disappointed with resort experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 17 hours ago

This resort was recommended by the travel agent we hired, DownUnder Travel. We had a couple other resorts booked as well for our anniversary/birthday. We were very disappointed with Nunuku, it didn’t meet our expectations. We asked for a place for anniversary for just both of us with excellent care with food and a lot of activities. We were leaning more high end, since this was a special time. There were a lot of kids, small confined space at the pool, food not that great. Little beach area and not as clean. They also have a real estate viewing time, if you’re interested… gives you an idea of what type of resort. More commercial intended. I shouldn’t really be disappointed at the resort, but more from the travel agent, since I expressed what we were looking prior to booking. I could see this place more for a destination family wedding or family event / gathering. Crazy, this place was just as expensive at the other resorts we went to, but 1/2 the offering.

Great experience!

We visited the resort on a day pass from a cruise. All of the staff were overly friendly and accommodating but we have to give a special shout out to Verretti who made our day extra special by taking time to show us a resort and giving us a laugh!

Staff are truly wonderful. So happy and there for you. They make the holiday unforgettable. Food and drink are copious and varied. Breakfast is fantastic with so much choice. The restaurant has lovely tropical vibes with a great backdrop. We found the food delicious and varied. Feast night was outstanding. Truly was a feast of delicious delicacies. Fabulous holiday. Thank you Nanuku, you are amazing

1 week at Fiji resort to celebrate wedding anniversary

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

I celebrated a big wedding anniversary at Nanuku, and it was great. The staff members were exceptionally welcoming, always smiling and saying “Bula! Bula!”. They helped with anything we needed. I had never snorkeled before, and I thought it might be a little difficult to breathe through a tube. It wasn’t hard and it was my favorite experience there. With a life vest, it was easy to relax and float around the coral, watching bright, beautiful fish. I even saw a lionfish. Although the forecast predicted rain every day, the weather turned out to be wonderful; it only rained once during the week. We learned that forecasts in Fiji often overpredict rain, so the actual weather will likely be better than forecasts. Our residence was luxurious, with beautiful views and nice furniture. The meal plan for our eight day stay was a treat, because I didn’t have to think about the cost of each menu item when I was there. The fine dining dishes, like paka paka and the crab omelette, were some of my favorites, though overall there was more food than I could eat. We also enjoyed several guided excursions, and the longboat excursion with a waterfall hike was my favorite. Nanuku was a beautiful resort with very hospitable hosts and fun activities. The flight from LA to Fiji is long, but I will probably do it again someday.

A Place That Truly Stays With You

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

From the moment we arrived at Nanuku Resort Fiji, we knew this place was special. The authentic Fijian welcome was warm, heartfelt, and instantly made us feel like family. That genuine hospitality stayed with us throughout our entire stay. The resort is clean with lush gardens everywhere. The villas are beautifully spacious, peaceful, and luxurious, and having a private pool felt like absolute bliss. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered—from the room amenities to the incredible care shown by every staff member. You can truly feel the pride and love they put into what they do. A special mention to the amazing executive team who are always mingling with guests—Tomasi (GM), Vuli (RM), and the wonderful Kelly and Jennifer from Sales, who consistently went above and beyond to make sure guests were well cared for. The food was unforgettable—not only incredibly delicious but presented like art. Every meal felt like a special experience. A heartfelt thank you to the Chef and Vasemaca for creating such outstanding dining moments. The highlight of pure relaxation was my massage by Tela—absolutely amazing and hands down one of the best I’ve ever had. The private island picnic at Nanuku Island is a must‑do. Soft white sand, pristine waters, and fantastic snorkeling made it an unforgettable experience. The Fijian cooking class was also a highlight and so much fun. Nanuku isn’t just a resort—it’s an experience that truly touches your heart. Definitely value to money. Highly recommended to anyone seeking a meaningful, luxurious, and truly authentic Fijian holiday. Can’t wait to return.
