My husband and I spent five nights here during our honeymoon in Australia/Fiji, and we are so glad we made the trek! Nanuku is in a more remote location than we realized — three hour drive from the airport in Nadi — so be prepared for that, but it is absolutely worth it. You are quite literally right up on the beach the entire time. We had a suite with a private plunge pool and incredible views, which was nice for when we wanted some privacy. The main pool is also great, especially with its swim-up bar! Our room was immaculately clean and very spacious. The best part of Nanuku, though, is easily the staff. Every single person we came in contact with was so kind, warm, inviting, and helpful. They truly love to immerse you in their culture and share the beauty of it. I was pleasantly surprised by the food here as well! Because of the remote nature, most people seem to eat every meal at the restaurant on-site, and we had a prepaid meal plan at the recommendation of our travel agent. It was nothing like any all-inclusive places I've been before; the food here was truly a highlight of my entire trip. Every meal was excellent quality with delicious flavors and SO many options, including new dinner menu nightly, and very large portions. We were here mainly to relax, but there are a lot of awesome on-site activities we saw people enjoying, like snorkeling and day trips to local islands and villages. Truly such a slice of paradise that you will be sad to leave!

We truly enjoyed our stay at this resort. The combination of the beauty of our suite with the pool area and live music really made our stay perfect. The staff were all friendly also and it just felt comfortable the whole time. When we arrived which was Christmas morning, local carolers were singing in front of the restaurant which was such a beautiful experience. And the unique Fijian Christmas tree by the pool was beautiful by day and by night! Our villa with the private pool was designed beautifully to capture the perfect views with the gorgeous landscaping framing the space. One last benefit we found quite appealing was that any children onsite were accompanied by a resort nanny at all times. The nannies were such a pleasure to watch with the kids and they also kept the kids in check so adults with or without kids could have a relaxing vacation. We’d never seen this setup before but especially for parents, this would be a huge draw. Someone told me the resort of owned by an American but I have to admit I’d have never guessed this due to the authentic feel. The other resorts close to the airport all just seemed so corporate like. This it was worth the trek across the island to get there!

Nanuka is an amazing place. Probably the best travel experience I have ever had. The rooms were incredible and comfortable, and the full resort was so experience driven that it really stood out as the best of the best.

There are not enough adjectives in a thesaurus to describe this place. From the arrival ceremony to our departure, it was pure top shelf service.. This place needs to write a manual and give classes to other hotels and resorts on the island. Really, I'm not exaggerating. This place/people took our hearts. And, we gladly gave them. We had a single room with a king bed and the staff gladly brought in a "rollaway". The room was super comfortable with nice amenities like a popcorn maker. Our arrival was set with a bottle of champagne, fresh fruit, sweets. Our room had it's own dipping pool and easy access to the beach. We were given a "tour" of the room so we knew where all the switches were, additional bathroom amenities etc. Super quiet room. Myna bird noises are everywhere but that's typical of the islands. The breakfast buffet was beautifully presented. The pool was out of this world with a swim up bar and the view from the pool was indescribable. Such beauty here. We had a great adventure with snorkeling the reef. SO much coral and some pretty great fish. Many lion fish to see. I wish we had spent all of our time on Fiji at this resort but alas, they were fully booked except for our 1 night. We had our first experience on the island with the kava drink. That stuff is a true adventure! Thank you for Tom and Saki for the "talk story". And to Louise for the eye rolling behind their backs!! So many great people work here. I can't recommend this place more. Like I said, not enough adjectives.

We stayed here 5 nights after 5 weeks of hiking in New Zealand. It’s hard to get to (3 hours from Nadi) unless you fly to Suva (1 hour). William runs a tight ship. By the 2nd day the staff knew our names. At 8:00 a.m. the staff gathers by the entrance to sing hymns and pray, something that should not be missed. They were so polite and friendly. Despite being captive, the prices weren’t outrageous and the food varied every day. William prefers you tip at the end of your stay vs. tipping the staff, which is what we did. You can snorkel right off the resort. If you want to go a mile offshore you will see more and bigger fish for F$100 per person. We also booked sand bank, but found it not worth the F$700/person charge.
