Stay amid one of the largest private gardens in the city, bordered by an ornate villa and Renaissance palazzo. Take in centuries-old art or fashions hot off the runway. Now is the time...the city is yours.

Staying here for few days to celebrate my birthday, and mixed feelings about this place First, expectations are of course high, as a regular four seasons customer, and considering the reputation of the hotel. The building is amazing, beauty, history and a real soul. Each area is designed to reflect the unique character of this hotel. The gardens are special, old, beautiful and are worth the trip alone. The pool area is relaxing, the bars perfect to unwind after visiting the city. Concierge service is top notch, efficient and responsive, as you’d expect. Amenities also as per expectations. Location perfect to visit the city by walk, without being confronted to the noise and crowds. Now, we had a couple of unpleasant experiences since checking in. First, the room. We booked a four seasons room, supposedly the highest in the normal rooms category, and it was disappointing. Dark, tiny window, oppressing, not what you’d expect considering the standards of a four seasons or the price you’re paying. When you book on their website, they certainly don’t show you this one, but much better options. Initially we were told that was the only room available in our category, as all others were occupied. Had to complain again to finally find 2 other rooms, And we picked one that was ok. After the frustration and disappointment of the first one, that could have been avoided if they decided from the beginning to give us a decent room, rather than trying to push that average one to us. Lesson number one for this establishment : they’ll try first to give the worst room in the category , then a better one if you complain. Very very disappointing , i never faced this in years staying at four seasons all around the world. And booking directly, not via any cheaper online website. This definitely breaks the relationship. Now that room was fixed, we decided to enjoy the rest of our stay and forget this first unpleasant situation Comes the moment we booked dinner at Il Palagio, the Michelin restaurant of the hotel. Issue starts from the arrival to the restaurant. 3-4 tables available, and were being offered the one next to the entrance, just in front of the kitchen and service team, isolated from the rest of the restaurant. While there are tables by the window, and others in the center of the restaurant. Had to complain again to get a proper table, and we ultimately got one by the window, that was empty and available. Isn’t the staff trained for these simple things? Creating frustration and disappointment again, for simple things that can be addressed by a minimum of decency or four season service standards. Dinner goes well, we pick one of the tasting menus, attention is given to details during. dinner. And the bill comes. But they forgot the mignardises and chess chocolates, offered to the other tables around us. When I asked the waiter, he said “Ooooh it comes after the bill”… In 30 years visiting Michelin star restaurants, I never experienced any mignardises coming after the bill. So either this needs to be fixed, or he just forgot, and should have said “sorry I forgot”, which would have been more appropriate and more than ok… Again a disappointment that lead us to leave right away. Not sure if these are the standards of the hotel today, and hoping the stay Will improve. But so far, definitely not worth the hype and expectations we had while booking here

We had a wonderful stay at Four Seasons Firenze. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming throughout. Compared with our recent stay at the Four Seasons Jumeirah in Dubai, this property feels far more tranquil, with stunning, expansive gardens that create a peaceful retreat. It never felt crowded, which made the experience even more relaxing. We stayed in the Palazzo del Nero, which is newly opened. The furnishings felt fresh and new while still preserving a refined Renaissance character, which we really appreciated. We had lunch at the Atrium Bar and ordered room service for dinner - both were of very good quality and tasty. Breakfast, however, was simpler than expected, with a very limited buffet selection. Service overall was top-notch. Special thanks to Maria and Federico at the front desk for their warm hospitality. Many thanks as well to the spa staff - our daughter really enjoyed her treatment, and the experience was handled with great care. One of the highlights was the morning run club with trainer Izota. It was a fantastic way to see Florence - running through the streets and past major sights - while getting in a great workout. It was a relaxing and enjoyable way to finish our trip in Florence before we set off to Rome. Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay and a great experience in Florence.

The hotel is super luxury and nice but is super far from the center. They didn’t have kettle in the room which is unbelievable for such a level hotel. There were also confusion with our reservation, they tried to give us room with two separate beds in case we were couple.Overall I would not stay again in this hotel

Excellent accommodations combined with warm service contribute to this hotel being among the very best. I thoroughly enjoyed my 4 days at this hotel and rued having to leave to our next destination. Our room was well designed with thoughtful touches like a wireless charging pad, usb a and c charging ports and a tv (while never used) designed right into a mirror, leaving the room much less cluttered. The closet areas were also well designed and lit. Our bathroom was excellent with a soaking tub, walk in shower and private wc. What really began to separate this hotel however is the service. Antonio brought so much joy to breakfast and lunch. Our interactions with him always left us in a better mood than when we started. I wish I could recall all the staff we met with, but a few other notables would be Leon the pool attendant, the front door staff, the bartenders at the pool club and the atrium. Whoever hired and trained the staff here should also be commended for they’ve done an excellent job of assembling a top notch team. I cannot wait to return to this special city and hopefully find my way back to this Four Seasons hotel.
