Reviews for NH Collection Firenze Porta Rossa

Excellent Hotel Experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

We can’t say enough about our stay at the NH Collection Firenze Porta Rossa. The staff was outstanding and went above and beyond to make our stay here absolutely perfect. From the moment we arrived, our stay was nothing short of wonderful. The hotel itself is beautiful, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained, but what truly made the experience special was the people. Every staff member we encountered was genuinely kind, welcoming, and eager to make our stay memorable. Our room was spotless, cozy, and a perfect place to relax after a full day. The attention to detail did not go unnoticed — from the comfortable bedding to the little touches that made it feel like a home away from home. What stood out most was the atmosphere. There was a sense of warmth and care throughout the entire property that made us feel valued as guests, not just customers. It’s rare to find a place that combines excellent service, comfort, and genuine hospitality so seamlessly. We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already looking forward to returning. Thank you for making our stay so special — this hotel will always hold a fond place in our memories.

Stunning hotel with incredible service

Our 3 night stay was fantastic. The hotel is stunning, beautifully nestled in a pretty old street very close to all the big squares. Inside the space is gorgeous with vaulted ceilings, original frescos and stained glass. It's said to be Italy's oldest hotel and the staff are proud of that. They couldn't have been kinder or friendlier; from reception to breakfast to the doormen - they truly made us feel special.

Bravo NH PORTA ROSA FIRENZE

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

- We stayed at this truly exceptional hotel from January 2 to January 5, 2026, and are delighted to share our impressions of NH Collection Firenze Porta Rossa, a five-star hotel that can rightfully be called a genuine jewel of Florence. - This is far more than a hotel — it is a living piece of the city’s history. Housed in a building with a 13th-century tower, it carefully preserves the spirit of historic Florence while offering a level of comfort that meets the highest modern standards. Aristocratic elegance, architectural authenticity, and impeccable service come together here in a truly remarkable way. - The location is simply perfect: right in the heart of the city, just steps away from the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, and the finest museums, boutiques, and restaurants. Returning to the hotel after a day of walking through Florence feels like coming back to one’s own elegant home. - The rooms are decorated with refined taste: noble materials, thoughtful details, peace, and a genuine sense of comfort. What remains especially memorable is the atmosphere — calm, warm, intelligent, and ideal for rest and quiet contemplation. - Special thanks are owed to the staff. We travel often, yet Nadine from Guest Relations deserves the highest professional and personal praise for her sincere care and attention to every detail and request — the very things that create the feeling of “I truly felt at home.” The reception team, the doormen, and the ground-floor bar with its extraordinary selection of spirits and delicious teas all contribute to an experience that goes far beyond formal service — this is genuine hospitality. Any request (including reservations at restaurants accessible only by advance booking) is handled effortlessly and with a smile, making you feel genuinely welcomed and expected. - Breakfasts are not to be missed — skipping them would mean missing something truly special. This is a separate delight created by Chef Tomasso: high-quality products, an excellent selection, and a calm, pleasant atmosphere — the perfect way to start a morning in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. The restaurant was also beautifully and tastefully decorated for the winter holidays. - Our stay at NH Collection Firenze Porta Rossa was not merely an overnight stay in Florence, but an essential part of our overall experience of the city — refined, harmonious, and truly memorable. This is a place one wants to return to, and we confidently recommend this hotel to everyone who values style, history, and genuine quality.

Everything was Perfect!

This hotel is gorgeous and we had an absolutely wonderful stay here! Everyone was incredibly kind and helpful -- from the front desk and concierge, to the bellmen, to housekeeping. I believe the valet service is a separate company, but they were fantastic as well. We treated ourselves to the junior suite for our last few nights in Tuscany, and it was lovely. The room was awesome and the bathroom was huge and stunning! This was our first stay at an NH Collection property and now we want to stay only at NH Collection hotels! Many thanks to everyone on staff who made our visit so comfortable and special!!

A lovely, historic hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

This is a lovely hotel, located close to the centre of Florence in a building which some say is the oldest hotel in Italy, today traditional features are combined with a modern, comfortable hotel. We arrived to find that we had been upgraded to a Junior Suite (room 121) with 18th century frescoes on wall and ceiling (see photo) which was a real treat. We found the hotel location convenient for everything, and the staff at the front desk were very efficient and consistently helpful. The breakfast buffet was good, and once again the staff were excellent. The hotel has a small restaurant and we ate there one day. The meal was first rate and service was again excelllent. I can heartily recommend this hotel if you are in Florence.
