NH Firenze

We stayed here for a few nights, ate in for one evening meal. The good: staff were always courteous, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great, for a buffet. They also made omelettes, if that is your thing. The room was clean, reasonably spacious and had all the usual requirements. One item that doesn’t seem to feature in any Italian room is an iron. The bathroom was a good size, with a bath as well as a shower. It was clean, shower was ok, toiletries were grand. Location is good, about 20 minutes walk from everything. There is a tramline passing the front door, which is great. The room for improvement: The evening meal. While it was ok, the second course of pork was more of a morsel than a meal. If I had realised, I could have opted for an extra course. Menu is quite abbreviated, with little enough choice. However, again the staff were good and pleasant. All in all, would definitely return.

Overall it was an expensive stay that gave a disappointing experience. Having stayed in NH hotels before, it was apparent that this one differed significantly. Small basic room, the floor wasn’t clean, there was no complimentary water in the room, no welcome drink on arrival. The rooftop was closed completely so despite good weather you couldn’t even get a drink to enjoy up there. It was quite a distance up the river from the main attractions of Florence but only 1 stop round from red station on the tram. Overall a pricey stay for a brand that didn’t deliver the same as expected from other NH properties.,

Very comfortable hotel within walking distance to restaurants and reasonable walking distance to main attractions. Breakfast was included and had a lot of options. Beds were comfortable. This hotel was very clean with excellent housekeepers!

Fantastic stay—spotless room, warm staff, great breakfast, and a perfect location. Comfortable, quiet, and truly relaxing. I’d gladly return and highly recommend it.
