Beautiful experience.

We enjoyed our stay in Bernini Palace. This is a beautiful Hotel in the heart of historic Florence. The rooms are stunning and have everything you need to enjoy your stay. If you need anything, you just ask the extremely helpful staff. The breakfast that was included was extensive and tasty. Recommend this hotel and will stay there again.

A beautiful hotel

Loved this beautiful hotel that is located close to everything. The staff is super helpful and caters to your every need. Our room was large with a beautiful marble bathroom. A breakfast buffet was filled with all the food that you could imagine. I would highly recommend this hotel!

Lovely historic district luxury class hotel near key attractions

Beautiful historic hotel in the ZLT historic area of Florence a couple of blocks from Point di Vecchio. My spouse and I stayed in a Supreme double room on the 5th floor which was very well appointed with luxury amenities but rather tight on space. The room had a lovely marble bathroom and a nice individually decorated decor. It was comfortable and quiet for our short stay before we moved on in our trip to a Villa just outside of Florence. The complimentary breakfast was buffet style and very nice in a very lovely breakfast room on the second floor. The limited elevators were very slow so we climbed a lot of stairs during our stay which was no issue for us but would be for less mobile travelers or those with small children. The location of the hotel was excellent for sightseeing on foot. The hotel staff was marvelous and went out of their way to help us. They provided excellent recommendations for dinner, stored our bags after check out and got taxis for us. There is a nice small lobby bar also where we enjoyed hot tea and snacks for a reasonable cost. Would stay here again but I’m a larger room preferably due to the beautiful decor, location and wonderful staff.

3 star hotel not 5.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

We shall start off with the positives, which won’t take long. Location. Fantastic location. Incredible! Right off the main square. If all you care about is location this hotel is a winner! Now the negatives. We booked the most basic room. It was so small you couldn’t swing a cat. For some unusual reason they decide to fill these tiny rooms with unnecessary and un-useful furniture dating back to the 1600s, so there is literally is no room at all. We couldn’t open our cases for our duration due to lack of space. Even though the weather was mild and not hot, the room temperature and humidity was disgusting like a Turkish sauna. The AC in the hotel does not work properly and was told some shabby excuses. THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR A FIVE STAR HOTEL NOT TO HAVE WORKING AC. You could not open the window in the hotel rooms because it’s so central and so loud below, so there is no winning there either. If there is any chance you could become claustrophobic then this hotel will get you to that level. After numerous complaints to the hotel reception they kindly moved us rooms which was still small but not as hot and stuffy. They showed us one of their ‘superior’ rooms, which was not much more of a step up from the most basic rooms, so be warned. Breakfast. Tinned fruit. And the only fresh fruit was pineapple, which had been left out so long it had gone brown. The bacon was brown/green. It was probably the worst breakfast I’ve seen in a hotel. We stuck to toast with butter for 3 days. Coffee was good though when we got it. Day 1 they forgot to bring it. The hotel was very dated and dark and gloomy, but it was probably the best hotel in Florence 300 years ago. This hotel should be a 3 star rather than 5. Shocked how it is a 5 star. Writing this review from a wonderful 4 star hotel in Bologna (hotel corona d’oro) which we will shortly review.
