Reviews for Brunelleschi Hotel

Centrally Located Hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

My family stayed for a few nights at the Brunelleschi Hotel. It is centrally located, has nice size rooms, a decent gym, nice bar and onsite restaurants. However, when we first checked in there was something just a bit off about the hotel. The staff are all very professional, almost too professional in a stand-offish way. The hotel is historical and therefore has some quirks such as having to take two different elevators to get to your room. Also, the decor of the hotel is almost goth like. Many of the rooms (including the bar) have dark moody color schemes. Also, the bathroom doors are glass with etching. Therefore, it is possible to see into the bathroom from the hallway of the room. That may not be a problem for some people but teenagers sharing a room were not impressed. We had just come from a very modern upscale boutique hotel in Rome so I think the sharp contrast was initially off putting. However, the hotel does have a lot to offer. The location is wonderful, the rooms are a good size. Just my opinion but a decor update would do wonders for the hotel.

Enjoyable stay in the center of Florence, with friendly and helpful staff

It is the location that we like, right in the center of Florence and you pay for it. The room is good size with good firm large double bed. Good size bathroom and the Air Conditioner works well. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good with good selection of foods.

Idealy located, professionally run hotel

All the staff were very attentive and helpful, and in particular Cosimo. Arrangement of tickets for various museums and shows was excellent. The food was particularly good and well presented ... The Michelin 2* restaurant was a wonderful food sensation experience. The location of the Hotel was central and within walking distance to all of the major attractions. The only minor downside was the limited hanging and drawer space - ideal for business stop-overs. We would go back in a heartbeat.

Perfect location

Perfect location! Wonderful hotel right in the center. Walk everywhere! Fun to be in a hotel with lots of history also. You will see all tours dropping by to talk about the tower. You will be able to go downstairs and see the remains of Roman baths under the tower. Rooms were comfortable ( bigger than I expected) bathroom have been remodeled, nice showers and amenities. The breakfast room was beautiful snf delicious. All staff was super helpful! A shout out to Eva, who always greeted us with a smile!
