Reviews for Brunelleschi Hotel

Good location but uncomfortable

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

Was tatty and hot. The window from the room opened onto a very busy part of Florence so very noisy also. It also smelt quite bad. It was a good location but wouldn’t stay there again… especially not for the price! The room was not dissimilar to a budget hotel…

Amazing Hotel Brunelleschi

We had an amazing time at the Brunelleschi Hotel. All the staff were friendly and very helpful. Great breakfast choice with some lovely fresh smoothies, prepared in front of you. A nice relaxing bar, with some excellent cocktails and snacks. They helped us arrange some chocolates for my Daughter's 18th and the manager sent some Prosecco - a very nice touch. All of this helped make our extended weekend break in Firenze extra special. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely hotel, great location, BUT.....

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

Lovely boutique hotel, in a fabulous location, in a quiet little square literally a few steps away from the Duomo. Lovely staff, all very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast, with plenty of options, both hot and cold. However..... Our room was lovely, comfortable bed, quality bedding, nice towels etc.....bit it was TINY, and I'm talking New York tiny here. The ceiling was higher than the width of the room. There wasn't room for 2 cases next to the bed, and I had to keep mine under the sink in the bathroom. Also, you know the facilities are a touch over-designed when it needs a visual next to the taps on how operate them!! We were fortunate enough to have decent weather on our visit, and it was warm for the time of year, around 20C, but the room was absolutely boiling. We were told that it was the law (not sure if that is city, regional or national) that they are not allowed to turn on the air con until the end of April. Worse still, the central heating runs for the entire hotel so if its on, its on in every room, with no adjustable valves on individual radiators, so we couldn't turn them off in our room....apparently this is extremely common in Italian hotels.

What a great location and stay. We stayed here two nights and really enjoyed it. It’s close to everything for walking. The staff is so pleasant. Very comfortable bed and a lovely complementary breakfast.

BEST HOTEL IN FLORENCE

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

Once again, I had an exceptional experience at Hotel Brunelleschi during my recent stay. From the moment I arrived until the day I left, every detail exceeded my expectations. Returning to a spotless, perfectly arranged room each day was such a pleasure, and the staff consistently went out of their way to ensure my stay was nothing short of outstanding. I must also mention again the breakfast spread—it is truly one of the best I've ever enjoyed. Please continue your fantastic work. I look forward to returning soon.
