Reviews for Collegio Alla Querce, Auberge Resorts Collection

Proof that true luxury doesn’t need to raise its voice

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

Collegio alla Querce is one of those rare properties that gets the balance exactly right. Set just above Florence, it offers a perspective on the city that feels both removed and connected — close enough to dip in, but with a sense of calm and space that’s increasingly hard to find. The setting alone is compelling, but it’s the restraint in how the place has been brought back to life that really stands out. The restoration feels intelligent rather than showy. Historic details have been preserved with care, while the newer interventions sit comfortably alongside them — nothing forced, nothing overly decorative. There’s a confidence to it that comes from knowing when to stop. Service follows the same philosophy: present, perceptive, and never overplayed. The team seem to understand instinctively when to engage and when to step back, which gives the whole stay a natural ease. What stays with you is the atmosphere — the light across the terraces, the quiet of the gardens, the sense of space throughout. It’s a place that doesn’t need to announce itself. I left with the feeling that this is somewhere I’ll return to, not out of novelty, but because it delivers something increasingly rare: considered, understated luxury done properly

Outstanding stay at Auberge, Collegio alla Querce

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

I had an incredible stay at Auberge Collegio alla Querce. The staff were amazing - so warm and attentive throughout. The property itself is full of history and charm, with a real sense of place that makes it feel special. The facilities were excellent, especially the pool, which was the best I’ve ever experienced in Europe. Dining was also a highlight, the food was seasonal and delicious, and the dining room made every meal feel memorable. Overall, the service was outstanding, and everything felt seamless. I’d absolutely return.

Take your Florence trip to the next level

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Please book a trip to Florence, even if it is just to stay at this property. Everything about this hotel is impeccable - the rooms, the design aesthetic, the food and most importantly, the staff. The staff went out of their way to make me feel special during my stay and they were always genuinely trying to ensure I had a great stay. For instance, I ate dinner at the restaurant during two separate evenings and they made sure I had a table outside that had a view of the sunset. I didn’t even ask them to do that! The breakfast offering is beyond anything you will probably ever experience. Unbelievable pastries at the buffet and a cook to order menu as well. Really good with food allergies at all of the meals too.
