A timeless retreat located in a charming hillside neighborhood of Florence, Collegio alla Querce offers the cities most spectacular vantage point of the architectural wonders and magical sunsets of the famed renaissance city and the grand estates and gently rolling hills of Tuscany. A former cultural institution and much-beloved boarding school, Collegio alla Querce has been transformed to awaken the property’s storied and romantic history, dating back to the 16th century. A delight for design lovers and gourmands alike, three adjacent original buildings feature 83 rooms, an original chapel and theater, a library, two restaurants and a bar which was once the school’s principal’s office.

Fabulous experience made better by an incredible staff. The facility is gorgeous and spectacular for any event of gathering. Food is amazing, something for everyone and the quiet places to enjoy a peaceful relaxing moment bring a very comforting atmosphere.

The group that we traveled with are very seasoned. All 9 couples agrees that not only was Collegio all Querce the highlight of our amazing Italy trip, but it is one of the finest hotels we have ever visited as a group or individually. Simply outstanding in every way imaginable!

Great experience overall. Was on my honeymoon, and got a room upgrade, bottle of champagne, and a decorated cake. We really appreciated the gesture. Staff was very kind, welcoming and service-oriented. The only really small issue which makes the stay 99/100 is that even though we informed about a severe food allergy, we got served said food once during a social table where a whole range of different dishes was served

This resort hotel is phenomenal and well deserving of its Michelin Keys. We spent four days here in June 2026. We had a balcony suite. The room was well appointed, and the overall hotel is exquisite. It used to be a school, so there are several surprise places to slip into for quiet repose. The bar was very lively and fun. We had the Bosco table dinner one evening and it did not disappoint. Very easy to use as base camp when touring Tuscany for a few days. You get a great view of Florence while feeling a bit away from the hustle down on the streets.
