Luxurious retreat

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

We had an incredible stay at Collegio. It is an exceptional property, among the best that we have ever stayed at. Like other Auberge properties, they do a great job of combining local touches with ultimate luxury. The food is incredible, the service excellent, and the location is great. It is not at the Florence city center, but having just come from another bustling city, it was nice to have a bit of a retreat. The pool is really big, and pretty deep throughout, so there’s not a good area for kids who can’t swim. We didn’t have trouble with this, though. The shuttle to the city is very helpful, and takes just about 10 minutes. However, it only seats seven, and we did have one occasion where not everyone could fit onto the shuttle who wanted a ride. Service is terrific, and it was nice to be able to WhatsApp our requests to the concierge. We would definitely come back.

Best hotel I have ever stayed in

The only thing better than the amazing property is the incredible staff! Made our trip! Everyone knew our name, the concierge organized great activities for us. Pool, spa, dinning area and rooms were top notch.

Nicest hotel we’ve ever stayed in!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

This was one of our favorite hotels we’ve ever stayed in. It’s a brand new hotel, and they put a lot of attention to detail into the design of the hotel. Rooms were very well designed and very clean! Pool was absolutely stunning! The best part of this stay was the service they provided! They knew our names every time we interacted with the staff! A handful of times they provided recommendations from their concierge for amazing experiences that allowed us to enjoy experiences that we loved! They also went above and beyond, for example they held onto our leftovers in their kitchen for reheating when we were ready, and provided complimentary coffee and coordinated taxi arrangements when we checked out and needed to go to the train station. Truly recommend this place!

Exceptional Staff, and a Perfect Family Escape (Travelling with a 6 and 7 year old…)

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

From London, I have been travelling through Italy with my husband and two young children. I was looking for somewhere to stay, and this was a suggestion from ChatGPT. Only recently opened this year, I was initially dubious about the outpouring of positive reviews. However, this place is, without a doubt, somewhere worth staying, or at the very least, enjoying lunch. Once you get past the sheer beauty and the money invested in redeveloping this former college, you realise that the true heart and soul of this place is the staff. The attention to detail is as remarkable as the pasta we had for lunch. Family-friendly, fresh, clean, attentive, and luxurious. I could mention the incredible Lucy, who served us by the pool, but that would be doing a disservice to the rest of the staff, all of whom were equally well trained and attentive. This place deserves to do well. You won’t regret booking here.
