Collegio is an exceptional property in Florence...its service and standards are exemplary - no less than the top luxury hotels worldwide. The rooms have a lovely mix of old world charm with modern functionality and exceptional bathrooms. The pool is one of the best you can swim in anywhere in the world. The food is exceptional - in particular, the breakfast. And the bar is absolutely wonderful to settle in pre or post dinner - with or without a cigar in their cigar room!

It is without a doubt, one of extraordinary five-star hotels I have ever stayed at. It offers us a truly unique experience, a beautiful combination of history,class,elegance, and unparalleled luxury. The food was incredible, and every member of staff from different teams is professional, attentive, and efficient . Our room was immaculate, beautifully decorated, and exquisitely funished . The hotel is gorgeous ,it is also such a romantic and magical place for a wedding reception. Every detail has created an unforgettable atmosphere and our stay. Highly recommend for people planning to come florence and looking for 5 star accommodation.

This is a beautiful hotel inside and out. The property is gorgeous. The rooms were stunning, with every single thoughtful touch like a nice hairdryer, an international conversion plug, nice robes, plentiful glass water bottles, a variety of pillows for both stomach and side or back sleepers, AC, nice showers, a beautiful large walk-in closet (I had a suite), flowers, nice art. The architecture is excellent combining timelessness with modern luxury. It was very clean, yet had no smell of any toxic cleaning fumes nor fragrances in the rooms. Very friendly, attentive reception staff, concierge, luggage helpers, restaurant and bar staff, and valets. Excellent housekeeping staff. On one of the days we were there (but not the day we checked in), reception did seem busy, but the staff seemed to acknowledge and try to help everyone. The breakfast was a 5 star breakfast with sit down service and an amazing buffet you could also grab stuff from. The entire breakfast was included. The restaurant at the pool is very good, though service at both the pool and the dinner restaurant (the dinner restaurant was also where the breakfast is) were sometimes a little slow (the Italian way - almost all places we went to were like this) and you'd have to wave at them to order or pay. I went with lady friends, but there were mostly couples on a romantic getaway, some families with adult children celebrating something, and a couple families with well-behaved kids. I wish we budgeted more time to enjoy the hotel, but we had so many things planned by my travel agent. If I were to do it again, I would have reached out to the concierge in advance for local ideas, and especially asked them for lunch places when were exploring Florence. We got stuck on a long walking tour my travel agent scheduled in very high temperatures, and ended up eating at a not-so-great tourist trap in the square for lunch (there are so many little winding streets in Florence, so we were trying to play it safe so we didn't get lost). The concierge is there to help, so definitely once you settle in, ask them for recommendations - or better yet, reach out to them in advance. Note: their free shuttle was always booked at the times we wanted to go, but the valets will call a quality external taxi or van if you're with a larger party that will be there in 2 to no more than 15 minutes. The pool always had plentiful sunbeds. Friendly advice: If you are planning a trip to Florence, and you have a connecting flight there, make sure you don't make my mistake, and budget enough time for the transfer (more than 2 hours). If you your bags don't make the connecting plane, take a form from the busy Florence Lost and Found in bag claim, and then you can pay a service fee for the hotel staff to get your bags. I failed to grab this form, but the hotel staff found a good taxi driver familiar with the airport to help me get my bags when they arrived on the next plane, and it all worked out. The drink selection is good at this hotel, providing both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options, and they accommodated my gluten free requests. (My friends ate their stuff with gluten). The pool is amazing, good for lap swimming or a relaxing float. The gardens and the views are wonderful (if you get a room with a view). It is centrally located, though a bit of a winding small street on top of a hill. One of my friends did venture out walking on her own to a nearby beautiful neighborhood, but I wouldn't say it's easily walkable. It seemed everything was a 1-3 miles away via taxi (which can take 10-25 minutes on the tiny Florence 1-way roads). If you're going to Florence, I highly recommend this hotel.

CAQ was an exceptionally well maintained property with state of the art amenities, highest standard of culinary experiences, most courteous staff. It was indeed a dream vacation.

Everything was superb and fantastic, our entire group was overwhelmed with the place, staff and services. all the best.
