Exceptional Staff, and a Perfect Family Escape (Travelling with a 6 and 7 year old…)

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 7 hours ago

From London, I have been travelling through Italy with my husband and two young children. I was looking for somewhere to stay, and this was a suggestion from ChatGPT. Only recently opened this year, I was initially dubious about the outpouring of positive reviews. However, this place is, without a doubt, somewhere worth staying, or at the very least, enjoying lunch. Once you get past the sheer beauty and the money invested in redeveloping this former college, you realise that the true heart and soul of this place is the staff. The attention to detail is as remarkable as the pasta we had for lunch. Family-friendly, fresh, clean, attentive, and luxurious. I could mention the incredible Lucy, who served us by the pool, but that would be doing a disservice to the rest of the staff, all of whom were equally well trained and attentive. This place deserves to do well. You won’t regret booking here.

True personal luxury experience. Everyone will tend to you as if you owned the property. I travel all over the world and we only stay at 5 star hotels but nothing beats this property. You will not want to leave

The most special hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Collegio Alla Querce, the new property on the block redefining 5* luxury, is Florence's true hidden gem. If only the walls could talk, because this special hotel has such a beautiful history and was so carefully restored. The service, food, cocktails, decor, and magical touches were all faultless. Easily accessible to Florence via complimentary shuttle or on foot, full of carefully considered corners and spaces, and home to an incredible swimming pool Collegio is simply unforgettable! It was very special.

A Perfect Day of Luxury, Flavors, and Impeccable Service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

I spent a truly unforgettable day by the pool at this exceptional luxury hotel. The setting was elegant and relaxing, with impeccable attention to detail throughout. What made the experience truly outstanding was the genuine courtesy and professionalism of the staff — not only by the pool but also at the restaurants. Every interaction was warm, attentive, and discreet. The food was exquisite, with beautifully presented dishes that highlighted both creativity and quality ingredients. The wine selection was equally impressive, with refined pairings that elevated the entire dining experience. A perfect day of indulgence and relaxation — I can’t wait to return.

Gorgeous, stylish hotel, just the right distance from Florence

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

This is a new hotel, the result of renovation of a school and it's absolutely stunning inside and out, visually. The staff at the hotel were so welcoming, friendly, generous and accommodating. Truly - among the best staff at a hotel I've stayed in. An incredible team. The rooms are luxe and so are the bathrooms and the pool is beautiful. It was nice to be up in the hills and away from the hustle and bustle of Florence, which can be overrun by tourist and crowds. A few notes on the hotel / tips. The room views aren't going to be amazing all around. If you have the courtyard, you'll be looking into other rooms, if you face the pool, you are looking at where cars pull up/valet is, if you face the city - its the quietest / most private I think. In any case, the view will be better than what you'd get in crowded Florence. Also, the spa wasn't worth it. It's incredibly expensive and the facial was just so / so - kind of broke out after and the women who gave me the facial spent about 15 minutes total either explaining the products and/or trying to sell them to me, which I wouldn't have minded but it was within my allotted 90 min facial, so it felt like i was paying a lot for her to push products. They are probably still working out the kinks - but again, amazing hotel, and highly recommend.
