The Excelsior, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Florence

Amazing property! The view with the arno river is amazing! Also the breakfast is really good! If you go to Florence this is the hotel to stay!

The Excelsior is an absolutely beautiful property. The attention to detail in every hallway, the 5 pm wine tasting, and the small personal touches in our room made our stay more than memorable. At check-in we were not only allowed into our room three hours early, but were given an upgrade to a room with a balcony. The bed, bathroom, and amenities were all top tier. My fiancé had studied abroad in Florence, so she knew the area well, but I worked with the Concierge (specifically my friend Nico) to set up a local dinner outside of the city and a private tour of Tuscany. The depth of local and historical knowledge paired with a desire to share was unmatched. Paying for the included breakfast was worth every penny with a fantastic spread each morning. The location was exactly where you would want to be in the city. Close to everything, but just far enough so you do not feel crowded and have people walking through the lobby. I truly cannot say enough good things about this Hotel! The St. Regis is right across the plaza and this hotel seems to have the same top, top tier quality and services for a few hundred $ less. Plus, the rooftop views are truly the best in the city. We look forward to visiting Nico and our new friends at The Excelsior again soon!

What a fantastic stay! We were upgraded to a beautiful suite, it was very large & had 2 bathrooms. Perfect for our small family of 3. Location is great easy walking everywhere. Beautiful waterside view of the canal and the sunsets were beautiful. Check in was seamless, staff was very friendly and always knew our names. It’s always a great touch when they can acknowledge. Breakfast buffet was adequate, as was room service breakfast. Would recommend this stay to anyone going to Florence.

This hotel is beautiful and perfectly situated for walking anywhere in Florence. The customer service was even better. They accommodated a last minute request for a roll away bed in our room as well as made staying an unexpected extra night when our flight was canceled seamless. The concierge gentlemen that works nights was so kind and informative. Truly helped us figure out how to get to Rome airport when our flight was canceled a second day. I highly recommend this hir and would stay here again.

This hotel is simply fantastic, from the well appointed rooms to the customer service from the staff, quality restaurants and marvelous rooftop views of the beautiful city of Florence. Location is perfect!!!
