What a way to be treated royal! We had great rooms. The breakfast is to die for! Rooftop pool and bar the best. The service was impeccable. This was a great choice for a memorable week in Florence They arranged day drivers that took us to Sienna, San Gimgianno, Viareggio and beyond! All were great!

We didn't stay at the hotel - just came up to the rooftop by elevator. Spectacular views from the rooftop terrace just before, during and after sunset! It seemed that drinks came with a 100% "sunset/terrace" surcharge, but we couldn't stop at just one. We also ordered a cheese plate that kept us satisfied for another hour or two. This is really the place to go for evening viewing - excellent and attentive service. And even for folks who might be a bit vertiginous - this is a terrace that should not cause any problems. Different seating arrangements available, so best to get there a bit earlier than a bit later. The view is great no matter what the hour, but probably not worth it during inclement weather.

Grand Hotel Minerva is perfectly located close to trains, tram , shopping and sightseeing. The hotel pays attention to details, and super clean. They come several times a day to tidy the rooms. The front desk check in was easy, the reception/ Concierge made wonderful recommendations and reservations for dinner. Marianna goes above and beyond in providing good service at the front desk. The food at lunch was excellent. The breakfast needs much improvement, although the service was ok, the food was tasteless. The fruit was overly tipped. The cheese and humus looked old. We were not impressed by breakfast. I’m sad to say that they need to get a new chef for breakfast.

The Grand Hotel Minerva in Florence is a beautiful hotel without being overbearing or stuffy. It was warm and friendly while being gorgeous at the same time. What makes the hotel special is the smiling staff, in all the different roles. They were helpful and knowledgeable. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The rooftop view was absolutely stunning. The heated pool up there was terrific. Wish we had brought our suits! Our family dinner outside, overlooking the piazza, with the heat lamps to overcome the slight chill, a blanket provided by the kind staff as well, plus delicious dinners, made for a perfect memory of our stay. Each plate was carefully crafted. The flavors were fantastic. Beautiful cappuccinos in the lobby cafe became our afternoon routine and one I wish we could take home with us.The hotel manager was. Visible daily presence and seemed to always be checking in with guests and working hard to ensure the pleasant stay of all guests. Much appreciated. Grazie!

This is the first time I have ever written an online hotel review, but I felt compelled to write a review for the Grand Hotel Minerva because we had such a wonderful stay and were so impressed especially with the service we received. The hotel was beautiful, and our Deluxe 2 bedroom duplex room was perfect for our family of 4 with 2 teenagers. We had lots of room to spread out, and we had a great view of the lively piazza. The hotel is centrally located, so we could easily walk everywhere. We were most impressed with the staff at the front desk. We asked a number of questions about restaurants and activities, and they were consistently very helpful and knowledgeable. They went out of their way to accommodate and even were able to get a last-minute reservation for a party of 8 on Easter Sunday. The included breakfast was lovely, and the rooftop deck had a wonderful view. I would absolutely love to stay there again and would highly recommend this hotel.
