Grand Hotel Minerva

Return visitors to this lovely, very well located hotel and we were equally as pleased visiting here in winter as we have been in early summer. Last time we stayed we had a beautiful duplex suite, this time we had a junior suite and a premium view room right next door to each other on 4th floor looking out onto the Piazza Santa Maria Novella. The views were truly gorgeous, we captured some great photos from our rooms and from the rooftop terraces. The terraces are closed for service (food etc) during winter, but they were open to go up and enjoy the views, get some pictures and fresh air. Hotel is perfectly located, less than 5 minute walk from train station, we walked everywhere while in the city, Pitti Palace, Santo Spirito & Oltrarno districts, all along the river. Florence is a great place to walk everywhere and this hotel is a perfect location to start and finish those walks. Breakfast in morning was ample and tasty, the bar area for pre or post dinner drinks was staffed by lovely people and very chic. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel due to the fantastic staff. They were always very hospitable and friendly. They all went out of their way to make our trip special. The hotel itself is lovely and situated in the center of Florence. Everything is within walking distance and we had a brilliant 4 days going to all the historic sites and doing a bit of shopping. We are already looking forward to going back.

This boutique hotel at the outskirts of downtown was conveniently located, allowing walking to most places within 15-20 minutes. It was also well furnished - shout out to the heating system in the bathrooms - with a basic but decent selection for breakfast. The restaurant had good food and friendly staff throughout. This is a good home base for a trip to Florence, and the views from the rooftop are also a plus point.

Our stay at this hotel was exceptional. Jaccamo at check-in was incredibly helpful. They were able to accommodate our early arrival which was very nice. The room was beautiful, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The location was perfect—everything we needed was within walking distance including the train station. And when we needed a taxi one time, the front desk called one for us, and it arrived within moments. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The staff and the rooms were great and also the front desk made some fantastic recommendations along the way. They made our trip to Florence extra special. Thank you and we look forward to coming back!

Hotel is very nice. Room clean and was well serviced. Rooftop views exceptional. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. A special thanks to Filippo, breakfast waiter. Went above and beyond to help.
