The exclusive and stylish Hotel Lungarno was designed by the Florentine architect Michele Bönan and invites you to spend magical days surrounded by luxury, glamorous art and culture. This charming and luxury hotel in Florence offers a precious art collection from the 900’s, such as works by Picasso and Cocteau, Tuscan and Italian world-class temptations at its gourmet restaurant Borgo San Jacopo, and a breathtaking view onto the River Arno.

My family and I stayed here during our 3 day trip to Florence, and it is a hotel that I would highly, highly recommend. The staff went above and beyond the entire time we were there, and offered a true 5 star experience. The location right on the river is excellent, and provides great views from breakfast and the patio. Our room was spacious for Europe, and we couldn't have had a better time.

I just returned from an extended trip to Florence after studying at the Florence Academy of Art and then enjoyed a stay at the Hotel Lungarno with my family. Staying at the Hotel was the highlight of our time in Florence! The hotel has much to commend it, from the lovely rooms, to the delicious breakfast buffet, to its unique location right on the Arno. Yet it was the hospitality, graciousness, and helpfulness of the staff that sets the Lungarno apart. From the moment you arrive and are greeted at the door, they do everything they can to assist you in every way possible, from making dinner reservations to hair salon appointments to finding missing clothing. They are all wonderful, especially James (Bond), Lorenzo, Virginia, Luca, and Ilaria. They are professional and even more importantly to me, genuine in their warmth. By the time I left, I felt like I was saying goodbye to my family. I am already planning my next trip! I have stayed at many lovely hotels, but the Lungarno is truly something special. Arrivederci, Hotel Lungarno.

Premier location overlooking the Arno just meters from the Ponte Vecchio. Request a river view room! Five star service throughout—from street side efficiency to a bountiful breakfast and posh late night cocktails in the comfortable lounge. Special thanks to James for his friendly help and informative chats. Small but comfortable bedroom and bathroom with above-standard amenities. The balcony was a special treat. Our visit was at the height of the August heat and we appreciated the air conditioning in the hotel and our room.

Our stay was nothing short of spectacular. The rooms were warm and inviting. The food was incredible. Every staff member we encountered was welcoming and attentive. They all made us feel like family. Our stay was an incredible experience and we were sad to leave. I would absolutely recommend this hotel.

Outstanding hotel and collection—we have stayed also at Arts hotel, north of the Arno and at Viesca, villas in Tuscany about an hour outside of Florence. All outstanding and owned by the Ferragamo family. The slightly dangerous thing is that you get 10% off at Ferragamo stores, which my wife took as a mandate to shop and “save money.” Would stay again. Outstanding all around. Just be sure to book thru the hotel’s website lungarnocollection.com. I was tricked into booking thru guestrelations.com, which is Priceline—requires prepayment, is more expensive and has a slyly worded and restrictive $1800+ change or cancellation fee.
