Hotel Savoy

The ambience and decor inside the restaurant was lovely and the servers were very welcoming. I was hopeful for a special dinner. However, while the food was good, it was very over-priced - perhaps because of the location near the Duomo. The meal came to over 200 Euros, for three courses each plus one glass of wine and it simply wasn't that good. Also, at the end, the waiter asked us to write a review on Tripadvisor. I don't expect this kind of tacky request from a high end restaurant. None of the other less expensive restaurants we visited asked us to do this. It just struck the wrong tone. This was meant to be a celebratory 60th birthday dinner and I have to say it was far from being the best meal we experienced in our week's stay.

The Hotel Savoy was our favorite of a recent trip to Italy! It is in a great location with gorgeous rooms and a delicious restaurant. Service--particularly from Neils and Alberto--was excellent. We will definitely return!

This was our first stay at a Rocco Forte hotel. We came to Florence for an event and were invited to stay at Hotel Savoy. We didn’t really know what to expect, and we are leaving genuinely surprised and delighted. My wife and I travel extensively — between 170 and 200 days a year — so over the years we have been fortunate to experience many wonderful hotels around the world. Without hesitation, the experience we had at Hotel Savoy places it among the very best. And not simply because of the property. The hotel is beautiful and its location in Florence could hardly be better, but what makes this place truly special is its people and the extraordinary level of service they provide. From the moment we arrived, everyone made us feel genuinely welcome. Sotir, Alberto and Franco at the entrance; the maître d’, Martina, Sofia and the entire restaurant team — everyone was incredibly warm, attentive and caring. It was the small details that made the biggest difference. At breakfast, they quickly remembered exactly what we liked: the fruit we preferred, our coffee, my flat white. Nothing felt scripted or simply “professional.” It felt personal. Even as we were leaving, someone noticed that I was struggling a little with the heat and immediately brought me a towel to take with me to the airport. Nobody had to do that. They simply noticed, they cared, and they acted. When you travel as much as we do, beautiful hotels are not difficult to find. What is much harder to find is a place where the people make you feel genuinely cared for. That is what we found at Hotel Savoy. We arrived as first-time Rocco Forte guests and leave already looking forward to our next experience with the brand. Thank you to the entire Savoy team for making our time in Florence so memorable.

We had an excellent stay at Hotel Savoy. From the warm, attentive service to the comfort of the rooms and fantastic location, everything was wonderful. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Florence!

Our recent stay at the Savoy was one of the best luxury hotel experiences we’ve had. The hotel is a fantastical location central to everything, While the rooms are on the smaller side, they are recently renovated, nicely appointed, and comfortable. The entire property was very clean and showed no signs of neglect. Food and beverage was also a highlight with a lovely bar and beautiful outdoor restaurant. Staff was helpful when engaged, and always nice and pleasant. This was our first stay in a Rocce Forte property and will definitely not be our last - I felt their service and the quality of the property exceeded that of more well known luxury brands.
