An excellent boutique property in a location that can’t be beat. Was warmly assisted by Leonardo upon arrival and assigned a room on the 3rd floor facing the inner atrium. Absolutely no street noise. The breakfast was simple yet high quality. The in room amenities and the water pressure was top notch. Coming back every evening to a welcome tea setup in the room was a small gesture but very much appreciated. Don’t bother staying anywhere else in Florence.

Truly a gem. We spent two lovely nights here. We had a suite on the third floor with what I am told was the only private terrace. It was an absolute oasis. The lobby looks like a museum, is inviting and comfortable. In the back is a new room with a bar which is a nice place to start an evening. The stay began with a check-in by Luca who is wonderful. He provided us with a lot of great information and continued to be helpful throughout the stay. The suite was large especially for European standards. Everything was luxury from the towels to the sheets. The location was perfecto. Just a few blocks from most of the main attractions and barely 10 minutes from the train station. Breakfast was delicious and they offer to bring it to your room is you request. With only 15 rooms, they really do take great care of you. We would stay here again and recommend it to anyone.

Ideal location and impeccable service. Beautiful boutique hotel with every detail considered and taken care of from the spacious and tasteful rooms to a fabulous breakfast that can be delivered to your room to the complimentary after dinner drinks in the lobby. Located immediately adjacent to Piazza de la Republica, the hotel is an ideal base for exploring Florence. And the staff makes great dinner recommendations and reservations. This hotel is absolutely first class.

Very good and charismatic place right in the middle of everything in Florence: shops, museums and restaurants, you can get anywhere within few minutes of walking. The front desk in very limited time arranged for us a short (we stayed 4 nights only), but not easy to execute program including a day in Chianti with 2 private winery visits (wineries from my list) and provided us with plenty restaurant recommendations. Which truth be told turned out to be better than couple of restaurants we found ourselves searching and reading reviews. The minuses. We were staying in a suite on the 2nd floor, which in Vecchietti is actually quite high due to high ceilings on each floor. The windows were to a side street and upon arrival we were assured that the windows are soundproof. But every night we were woken-up several times first by various partygoers returning back to the hotels/apartments and next by communal services collecting the garbage. The shower is tiny, has stone tiles floor and a big window that saw better times, which is letting in plenty of air from the outside. Even sitting on the toilet, which is located next to the shower door, (excuse me for details) one can feel cold air blowing from the shower door, which can’t be closed completely. On top of that one of the maids always found it a good idea to leave that window open for the whole day after leaving the room doing the cleaning. This being in November already. So, going into that shower was an ordeal every time.

From the moment you enter this refurbished 700 year old building you feel like a special guest. We were greeted by Luca, who spent much time with us mapping out our agenda that wasn’t already planned in Florence. He made restaurant recommendations and reservations. Everything recommended was great. All employees of this hotel were equally helpful and attentive. Every detail is taken into account. A beautiful breakfast was included everyday. Our room was upgraded and was a beautiful luxurious suite. I hope to come back here at some point. It was a wonderful experience.
