Reviews for Plaza Hotel Lucchesi

Definitely try this hotel

Loved this hotel. Located right in front of the Arno River with beautiful view of the hills across it, this building is beautiful and much larger inside than it looks from the outside. Staff is very helpful, friendly, and accommodating. The rooms are a bit smaller than other hotels, but it is to be expected as this is an older building, but they offer all the normal amenities. Very centrally located, expect to hear some road noise especially if you sleep with the windows open, but that's part of the charm of Florence, Italy in general. Didn't bother us at all. Couldn't enjoy the rooftop as it was undergoing renovations.

Disappointing hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We were very disappointed when we saw our room. Walking through the hallways to our room had a terrible musty smell. There must’ve been a flood recently. We saw the room and it was like an hospital room. There was not one picture. An empty room with no color. The beds were flimsy and there was nothing good to say. It was so bad that we left. We checked out and went to a much nicer hotel. This was a once in a lifetime vacation and we refuse to let a bad room for five nights ruin it. Plus the rooftop was closed. There was no rooftop or pool. It was just a disaster.

Perfection in Florence

A fantastic hotel with amazing services. Extremely attentive staff that answered all our questions. Cleaning staff does an amazing jobs with the room on a daily basis (sometimes coming twice), the bar was fantastic to relax, and the concierge was more than happy to help in any way they could. A delicious breakfast every morning, and a well stocked mini fridge with complimentary items. Nice walking distance to pretty much everything in Florence you would want to see. Highly recommended

Chilled city break

A fantastic hotel in a great location. Just returned from a stay at the plaza hotel lucchesi in Florence, we were a little disappointed that the roof bar was closed for maintenance but, having a room with a balcony made up for this. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony with a coffee or wine, even in the rain. Staff were very friendly and attentive, would thoroughly recommend this hotel and, if you can, gofor a room with a balcony.

Exceptional stay

I cannot say how much we loved staying at this hotel. The food was exceptional, both the breakfast buffet selection and dinner in the hotel restaurant. The staff, especially the breakfast staff, was a special part of our stay. The location along the river and the view from the rooftop were also a very beautiful part of this visit.
