What a gem of a hotel! With only 24 hours in Florence, we wanted to splurge and this was a great choice. It was walking distance to the Uffizi and Plaza Santa Croce, which was hosting a fun little Christmas market. Lots of shops and restaurants near by. We had one of their “townhouse” suites which overlooked the river and had our own little balcony. Perfect for our family of four. We had the included breakfast which was truly yummy, with so many choices. The staff was universally wonderful; they suggest a 7% service fee, which is optional but we gladly added it as the staff went above and beyond in every interaction. If we ever come back to Florence, this is where we will stay.

This hotel is just fantastic. Great location on the Arno river and in the town centre in a quiet spot, with beautiful views from both of our rooms, one on the Arno river and the other room towards the Duomo. Elegant everywhere with a stunning and excellent restaurant and a beautiful bar. We loved the breakfast and service was fantastic. The rooms are classic with stunning Venetian chandeliers and beautiful bed linen. Room service was great, the towels were always clean and both rooms were left spotless with quick service. The beds are super comfortable, I wish I could buy that mattress :). Finally the roof top has a swimming pool with amazing views all around Firenze. We had an amazing time. Thank you to the team who made us feel so welcome.

Hotel Plaza Lucchesi offers excellent value for the cost and an unbeatable location — it’s perfectly situated for exploring all parts of Florence on foot. The view from our room was absolutely beautiful, and the rooftop terrace offers an incredible panoramic view of the city and the Arno River. Even though the rooftop services and pool were closed for the season, it was still worth going up just to take in the scenery. The lobby and bar area were also lovely — elegant, inviting, and a great spot to relax. That said, some aspects of the hotel could use an update. The décor and furnishings in the guest rooms, outside the lobby, felt a bit dated, and our 4th-floor room was smaller due to the angled roofline, which meant we didn’t have the large windows featured on other floors — a little disappointing given the otherwise stunning views. The biggest challenge was the heat. The room was extremely warm, and when we contacted the front desk, we weren’t initially informed that Italy’s government controls heating and cooling between November and April. We eventually figured this out online and had someone come up to turn off the heating and bring a fan, which helped, but it was still a bit uncomfortable. Overall, Plaza Lucchesi has a lot of charm — the location, views, and common spaces are standout features — but a few updates and better communication would make the experience even better.

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights and they were excellent. Room with a gorgeous view. It was on the smaller side but that is to be expected. The staff were great. The ambiance was wonderful-especially the bar! We loved the nod to Dante in the bar menu. Very classy hotel. The rooftop was gorgeous! No services due to the time of year but we were allowed up. We ran to catch the sunset at Piazza De Michelangelo but came back to the rooftop and it was even better from there! Hotel is centrally located to everything. Quick and easy walk to all the main attractions in the city center but just far enough out that it was a smidge quieter!

The front desk was very unfriendly . We tried to get a late check out since when we arrived two days prior our room was not ready when we got there at 2:00 had to wait more than 2 hours until our room was ready . once we got our room, we waited another 45 minutes for our luggage to come up after we called the front desk, we wouldn’t have not received our luggage.. our last night stay there was construction going on below our room with a air hammer busting concrete. We did not get any sleep all night long. We mentioned it to the front desk and she said she did not know what we were talking about.. then my wife went to check out and they pre charged us $80 for tips for the staff. We were only here two days and we never needed a staff memberThe ONLY good thing about this place was Aldo the concierge. he was great . I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL
