Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel

I will start off by saying that my husband and I are big Omni fans. This is the 7th Omni we have stayed at, for a total of 18 trips. We had to be in Boca for a family reunion so we decided to take a night to ourselves to check out this brand new Omni - and we are so glad we did. This hotel is stunning. Clean, well appointed, room was amazing. As Champion level guests, we get a one level upgrade when available, so we were upgraded to a junior suite - it was beautiful and huge. The bathroom alone was gorgeous and the bed was so comfortable. We did not spend as much time on the pool deck as we had planned, mainly due to the wind that day. But we did walk around to check out the entire space - it is huge. The outdoor space still looks to be having work done but it is going to be a beautiful space. I love hotels that have plenty of lobby space to relax, read, people watch, etc. and this Omni has a lovely area to do just that. The lobby bar looks stunning and I love that it is both indoor and outdoor. After having dinner in Fort Lauderdale, we came back to spend some time in the sports bar, Fair Ketch. Our drinks were perfect but the best part was the super friendly bartenders. One of the reasons that we come back to Omni time and again is because of the employees and the service you receive. From opening doors, to always greeting you, to friendly chit chat - it just makes you feel valued and appreciated. A special shout out to Tommy at the pool bar - we stopped there for lunch on Monday but after we ordered, we realized we were pushing the limits of getting to the airport. He instantly got our drinks and food to go, all with a smile and being as helpful as can be. Our time here was not long enough at all - and unfortunately, being a Sunday night, we couldn't check out somethings that were not open, like the rooftop bar. But we loved what we saw and experienced in that short time. I do hope we get to spend more time there one day but I highly recommend staying at this location if in the area.
