Pelican Grand Beach Resort

We had dinner at 2000 Ocean and Matthew was a delight and the most helpful in helping us have a delicious and beautiful dinner.

Very welcoming staff. The bellman was super helpful. Our room wasnt ready upon checkin,so they gave us a few vouchers to use during our stay... The room was nice but could have used a better cleaning.. We had dinner at Ocean2000.. The dinner was amazing! Our waiter, Michael was the best!! Then after went to the O2K Lounge for a few drinks!! The bartender was great!!! In the morning before our flight, we went back to Ocean2000. The breakfast was amazing. It was a nice morning to sit outside. Beautiful views!!!

We booked this hotel for three nights at the end of our honeymoon cruise. We looked at the reviews and pictures and felt the vibe was perfect for us. Sadly, we did not get the experience we thought we would have. After a long day, we arrived at the hotel to be greeted by valet staff who were not the most welcoming. Booked in with the desk staff who seemed to be what I can only assume as having a bad day, due to the mediocre welcome we received. The hotel is dated but we do not judge a place on its bones, more the foundation of its staff and the energy we receive. I needed to report a problem with our shower the next morning. The handle had come off completely and fallen on me. We reported this at 6.30am, as we were leaving for the day. When we returned at 8.30pm, we found that nothing had been reported and the issue wasn’t fixed. After 10 minutes of waiting for the man behind the desk to be granted permission to change our rooms, we were given our key (without any offer of help to move us.) We quickly turned down the room offer due to the shower being filthy with lime scale and dirt. Maintenance did come by that night and fix it thankfully but how we were treated, put a sour taste in our mouth. The next day, we had 6 different members of staff knock on our door asking if we were checking out. When we informed each person, not once did anyone offer to clean our room. We were given a complimentary plate of fruit and cheese when we arrived (sadly we couldn’t eat it due to it being left out for several hours before our arrival.) That plate was still there when we checked out on Thursday morning. We checked out with no kindness or warm wishes. Just handed the expensive room tax and car parking bill and sent on our way. Both my husband and I felt deflated and let down during our time at the hotel. We had such excitement to stay here but couldn’t wait to leave and sadly will not be back.

Very enjoyable time great location great staff especially appreciated our breakfast server Matthew..Very nice and personable. Helped us with food choices as well as activity choices.

We had such a great time at the Pelican Grande for our firm retreat. Jey especially made our team volleyball tournament the best!!
