Pelican Grand Beach Resort

“I want to give a big thank you to Emily at Concierge Services for helping me last week with my room details and encouraging me to extend my stay and to book a massage, Vanessa in spa room was awesome. A special thanks as well to Hannah for helping my extend happen and another big thanks to Hannah for assisting me last minute again when I decided to stay this weekend for my birthday. I can’t wait to come back! This is the best hotel —I live in Ft Lauderdale, and I absolutely love it.”

Went for 4 nights for my Birthday our room was not ready until 5:30 pm. Our servers in the restaurants were terrific, especially Matthew he is a gem very attentive and made the most delicious cappuccino. The food was delicious and priced ok but the fees ??? There is an automatic 22% hospitality fee added to the bill, whether it is the restaurant, bar, or pool side. Some of the servers will say they only get a percentage of it as to make you feel bad and give even more but we learned they do get a nice some from it. The staff at the pool and beach are great. Now the beach with all that seaweed was disgusting. You could not even go in the ocean. You would think with all your resort fees and hospitality fees you could have a tractor or something come and clean up the seaweed once a day. The rooms are renovated and nice despite being an old building. They also charge $70 a day if you have a car .The pool is NOT big nor are there enough chairs so you do have to be put on a waitlist. Would we return?? NO !!! I t was ok but for the money we paid at the end with all the fees, we could have went to the Jamaica or Punta Cana to an all inclusive lavish resort for 8 days. Other guests were all saying the same they would not return. *** bring your own water and snacks as everything in the room has a large price tag including the stuffed animal Pelican they put on your bed that you might think is a gift ****

Matthew at Ocean 2000 was great!

Less than stellar. Poor customer service. Run down property, new ownership needs to address several issues and retrain some staff in customer service.

Our state was amazing. The hotel was fantastic and Mark was outstanding. He helped us with everything we need from car retrieval to bags and anything else we needed. It’s almost like he knew what we needed before we did.
