Here’s the updated version with that included, keeping the tone calm but firm: We really wanted to love this hotel, and honestly would have given it four stars if it weren’t for our experience on the last night. We were staying in a suite with our two-year-old and five-month-old, doing our best to navigate sleep while traveling with two little kids. In the middle of the night, one of our toddler woke up upset (as toddlers sometimes do), and instead of empathy, we were repeatedly called by the front desk and even had security come to the room telling us to quiet her down. We were actively trying to settle both children, and it felt incredibly unsupportive and honestly embarrassing as a young family just doing our best. The resolution offered by management was a free breakfast or late checkout, which didn’t feel proportional to how the situation was handled. The overall message we received felt more like “shut your kid up” than any attempt at understanding. There were also a few concerning housekeeping issues. One afternoon, my husband walked up to our room and found the housekeeper leaving without closing the door behind her, which was unsettling from a safety standpoint. We also found a cockroach in our room, and the floors didn’t feel particularly clean during our stay. That said, there were positives. The beachfront location is beautiful and very convenient. There were lots of young families staying there, and the pool was warm with a zero-entry design that was perfect for toddlers. A few other notes for future guests: The pool closes at 6pm, which felt early. Beach chair service ends at 4pm. There’s an automatic 22% gratuity added, and staff still request additional tips because they only receive a portion of that. Food was mediocre and overpriced — we found the Sandbar Grille next door to be much better. Overall, the location and amenities are appealing, especially for families, but the lack of compassion during a normal toddler moment and the cleanliness and safety concerns left us disappointed.

The Pelican Grand Beach Resort is a gorgeous hotel. The room was stunning, with a beautiful ocean view and balcony. The staff was extremely friendly and professional. A little expensive but not terrible for the value received.

Bell hop Mark was extremely cordial and helpful. He is a great asset to the Pelican.

My wife and I stayed At the Pelican grand beach resort Fort Lauderdale the 21st – 23rd January 2026 and 2nd – 4th February 2026. We stayed at this hotel two years ago and must confess it just gets better. The staff are very attentive and the accommodation food and drink are excellent. The architecture and decor are from art deco which we absolutely love and is in line with many of the properties in this part of Florida. The view from our room of the beach and sea were spectacular and we can't wait to go back to this hotel in future. We would like to pay particular attention and praise to a number of the staff that made our visit even better: Marlon and Olishia on reception, Analisa, Rhia and Monic in the restaurant and Adam and Jay the pool attendants. We will certainly come back.

The Pelican Grand Beach Resort is a stunning property, brilliantly located and superbly managed. This was our third visit and we had another great, memorable stay. The rooms, the staff, the location - all can't be beat.
