We come use the beach facilities regularly and today is the first time we’ve had a server disappear for over an hour where I had to chase her down to get our card back. She brought the merchant and customer copies; no itemized. No mention of an included service fee. We come here often and know that the service fee is included; great. Less math for us. The problem is that she failed to bring an itemized receipt or mention that the service fee was included. We asked her about it and said it was a “computer problem” but obviously the merchant and customer copy printed out just fine. Had we not known better she was going to let us tip her on top of the bill with no mention of the service charge. She had another server bring the complete bill to us. Amanda, super scammy and gross. Do better.

Came here for mothers day and didn't realize it was the same weekend of the air show. How crazy! Valet took a while because they were so busy but everyone was so nice and accommodating. Being busy is understandable. How you handle it, tells it all. Everyone was professional, accommodating, and sincere. Raul was amazing. He was sweating trying to help everyone, all with a smile on his face. Terrell again was another exemplary employee. He never seemed bothered by any request, was patient with everyone and seemed genuinely eager to help. I love the location right on the beach and there is so much to do even in the hotel itself. La vez has great Mexican food and open early for coffee /breakfast/lunch. The pool(s) have something for everyone. A quiet side and the party side with a great view of the beach and a dj during the day. I would definitely come back and stay even longer. The residential suite was spacious and had everything we needed. Will return sooner rather than later! Amazing time and trust me, I live in Miami so I know how important location, service, convenience is valued. Top notch. See you soon!!!!!!!

Where to start. If you have read a high negativity on this hotel please believe it. I even went ahead and called to the hotel to make a reservation via them (people) vs me doing it online and mind you I am a bonvoy member. Interesting that they never contacted me after the stay for an evaluation/ You will be treated like just a number. Showed up, was given a key that was supposed to work at the pool only for the key to have no access. called and answered with a rude response, told our room would be ready by 4pm. showed up after 4pm and our room was not even ready, then given a room next to the elevator despite my bonvoy account specifically stating otherwise as I am a light sleeper. No time for arguments as we had a family time sensitive matter to attend to. Then the luggage. they lied to us that it was on the way, went to retrieve it in person and they said they had sent someone to us. Mind you, I booked a 2br suite with ocean views and what I got was a suite with views of other high rise buildings. took over an hour to get our luggage as we had to change clothes for said family event. Prior to that we had kinda settled in when housekeeping walked in about 10=15 after us and they said they had not cleaned the place thoroughly, explains the cleaning bottles that we found, sofa bed with candy wrappers, dirty sheets with hair and dare i say condom wrappers. It only go downhill from here because by then the front desk did not even bother to let us know that we had a hotel credit to use or lose it. Manager reached out next day, gave us credit for hotel but lo and behold, they still charged despite the so said deposit. coffee pot was dirty, never got cleaned, next night I had to call for clean sheets for the sofa bed and I was ready to make the bed myself. ironically came from one coast to the other and was adamant about not making my bed as in I did not want to do airbnb. to this day i am yet to be credited the $100 they promised. So stear away from this place if you can the only place that was worthwile was the pool service while waiting for the room. They set the standard high as in what you would expect but it rapidly went from a ten to negative in a nono second. hotel. attitude even from bell boys that see you trying to figure out what entrance to use and by the way, the will not open the doors for you as they are busy talking to other staff or on their phones. I would rather go to a motel 6

Not a five star hotel. Stayed here with friends for a bachelorette. No one was happy with their room. This place is not cheap so expectations were set accordingly. Rooms are well used, cleaning job was not good. Floors were still sticky upon check-in. The pool area is very trashy, and has a dirty/grimy look. Not worth $800 (cdn)/night.
