W Fort Lauderdale

I rarely write reviews, but felt it was important to share this experience. I had a good stay here a few years ago, which made this visit especially disappointing. We had to change rooms three times due to poor conditions, including dust, rust, and humidity, and we even found a German cockroach in the bathroom. The manager offered 50% off the resort fee, but it didn’t reflect the seriousness of the issue. Additionally, the $60 resort fee only covers two beach chairs, even for larger suites advertised for six guests. Several other issues made the stay unsatisfactory. The main pool, which was one of the primary reasons we booked this hotel, was closed for construction, a detail not disclosed at the time of booking. The smaller pool was overcrowded and poorly maintained. Had these details been communicated in advance, we would not have booked here. Overall, both the cleanliness and communication have noticeably declined. This hotel no longer reflects the quality it once had, and I wouldn’t stay here again unless major improvements are made.

The service was lacking for this "luxury" hotel. Check in took 40 minutes, only 1 person was working Saturday night and 8 couples before us needed to check in first. Room clean did not happen unless we called the front desk and if it was cleaned it happened around 8pm. 2 out of 3 of the elevators were not working for a few days. The highlight at this hotel were the people setting up the beach chairs and the valet staff, very professional. The pool upstairs was filled with hair and sunscreen. We will never go back to this hotel. ;'(

This is a law suit waiting to happen! Their large main pool is closed but they hide it as “the east pool is closed. Please use our west pool.” The west pool is usually the small residence pool. They don’t tell you the truth so you check in and then your reservation becomes nonrefundable! The pools are no comparable in size and the open pool cannot see the beach!!!! I have stayed here for years and because of this treatment and trip I will never stay here again or this chain and will pass this story along! Rip off!

My husband and I stay at the W Fort Lauderdale was absolutely amazing. The hotel itself was beautiful and very clean, with a stunning oceanfront view from the 20th floor that gave us everything we were looking for, we didn’t even need to step onto the beach to enjoy it. From the moment we checked in, the service was top-notch. Manuel at the front desk was warm, welcoming, and went out of his way to make sure we were happy with our stay. We also interacted with the manager, who was equally pleasant and accommodating. The in-room dining was excellent, the food was delicious, the portions were generous, and honestly, the pictures don’t do it justice. We ordered room service for breakfast and dinner daily, and every single time it was perfect. The room service team was friendly, and the housekeeping staff was just as kind and attentive. Overall, everything about this stay was positive, the view, the food, the cleanliness, and the customer service. I will definitely return. 🌊✨

We had the best time at the W Fort Lauderdale. All the staff were awesome. We had breakfast at El Vez that was outstanding. The beach staff (thank you Brett!) was friendly and attentive!
