Fota Island Resort

wonderful relaxing break in five star surroundings. Everything but especially the staff were brilliant. Our room was lovely, dinner was great - super breakfast - we used the Spa and it was magnificent. Treatments were lovely and once again the staff were amazing. gorgeous walk around the grounds.

We were lucky enough to receive a two-night stay at Fota Island Resort as an engagement gift, and from the moment we arrived, the experience was exceptional. We were greeted with such warmth and friendliness, which immediately set the tone for our stay. When we entered our room, we were touched to find a beautiful congratulatory display waiting for us — such a thoughtful gesture that really meant a lot. On our first evening, we dined in the Amber Lounge, where both the food and service were outstanding. We were looked after by Val, who was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. We also made full use of the spa facilities, including the pool and adult-only areas such as the hydrotherapy pool, steam room, and thermal suites. Everything was spotless, and we left feeling completely relaxed and refreshed. That evening, we had dinner in the clubhouse, which was just as impressive. The menu offers something for everyone, and once again, both the food and service were excellent. Liam, who served us, was friendly, attentive, and a pleasure to deal with. This is a stay we will always remember. Every detail was carefully considered, and we genuinely couldn’t find a single fault. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Fota Island Resort and are already looking forward to returning.

Not a 5 star experience, hotel rooms were seriously outdated, at 7am I thought I was after waking up in a different country, house keeping were SHOUTING outside our room in their own language and I could not get back to sleep . Bar staff were super rude. Hunted a poor family out of the restaurant into the bar, only to be hunted back out of the bar and back into restaurant as they had children with them (bare in mind it was 10pm) and older children not small kids . It was a hard watch. Spa was average the entire area is again so outdated and just not worth the money . Would not return and I would absolutely not recommend to anyone . I would not make a review like this, but sense I reached out to them personally with my issues and didn’t receive any response, I’ve decided to take it to tripadvisor, BEWARE !

I had a perfect stay from start to finish. The hotel was spotless, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable. The staff were warm, professional, and always ready to help. Every detail was thoughtfully handled, making the entire experience relaxing and memorable. I would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning
