Nice hotel & great location. However, we had a bad dining experience in the amber lounge. Lack of staff & little mistakes eg. Wrong menus/several dishes unavailable.

Definitely not a 5⭐️. It lacked all those refined differences that a 5⭐️ offers. They are so important to. This is really an average 4⭐️.

The hotel and grounds are beautiful, rooms are clean and tidy and the food is great. Spa treatments were fabulous however I’d advise letting female customers know ahead of time if getting a male masseur, whilst I don’t mind this I know many ladies who wouldn’t feel comfortable or would at least want to have the choice. Unfortunately the service is shocking, whilst everyone is polite and friendly no one actually can answer any questions for example, where is the smoking area/can I get a taxi etc I was looked at like I had two heads when I asked was it possible to get a blanket/throw for the shoulders when sitting outside - something most Irish pubs have let alone a five star hotel. It was extremely disappointing to see empty cocktail glasses full of cigarette buts from the night before on the outside tables when we came down for breakfast. Overall a lovely hotel but not a five star experience however bear in mind that you’re also not paying five star prices for the room and so can be given grace.

Lovely hotel. Great location and staff 10/10. Close to beautiful Cobh. Zoo and golf a bonus. Enjoyed gardens at Fora House
