Disappointing end to a nice stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

Check in was great, although my Diamond status was not recognised. I was upgraded to a suite on the 3rd floor and on entry was surprised to find a few pieces of fruit, which was a lovely touch. Dinner was as expected in a Hilton, and the service was excellent! The only downside was that I was documenting my roadtrip across Europe. I asked guest relations on Friday 19 September in the evening if I could take a picture of my car infront of the hotel. I checked again on Saturday morning. Both times there was agreement. However, on positioning my car, the concierge swiftly appeared, thrusting my suitcase in my hand with a word of caution that I should not take any photographs at the hotel with my car. I asked „why?“ and was told that the hotel, „does not want any photographs on social media“. I reluctantly drove off without challenging this with the Duty Manager but was left with a sour taste. Part of the reason for choosing this site was the proximity to the Autobahn.

Nice property, good sleep quality, exec lounge would need upgrade

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

We stayed at this Hilton property close to Frankfurt Int airport for one night. All staff very nice, hotel is beautiful property, room was nice, clean, modern, sleeping quality was good, breakfast also quite nice, parking is plentiful, but would cost you 18 eur per night. The only minus would be executive lounge, where spread was quite poor, hotel should invest few euro more in elite members.

Wonderful Relaxing Hotel with Fantastic Staff

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

We spent our second stay at the Hilton Frankfurt Gravenbruch within a month after spending an initial two-night stay to check out the hotel. We were so impressed by the hotel staff that we booked our second stay immediately after our first trip, and now we are here for a two-week stay (review to follow), culminating in three stays for a total of 23 days over an eight-week period. We think our desire to keep coming back to the hotel sums up our impressions. We love it. First a few areas that some guests might find less than satisfactory. The hotel is near the Frankfurt (FRA) airport, so jets are always flying over; however, one gets used to it, and it does not bother us. The hotel has not been renovated recently, and some of the furniture shows some wear and tear on the wood, but the hotel common areas and rooms are well maintained and meticulously cleaned. Our first day at breakfast we were greeted by Martina, and we chatted a bit. Martina greeted us by name the next day and even remembered our room number. It might sound unimportant to some guests, but it makes us feel at home. My wife is handicapped and uses a walker to get around. Ivana noticed her difficulty moving around and through the breakfast area, and the next day she had placed a reserved sign on the table that was easiest for my wife to use and had room to "park" her walker. So we always have a reserved table for breakfast without ever having to complain or even mention it. Ivana saw a guest problem and rectified it. Like home! On our first visit to the Executive Lounge, my wife was having trouble getting food from the buffet. As soon as the guests saw staff carry in food, it was a mad rush to the buffet, and my wife and I had trouble getting something to eat. Hassbullan, a young waiter, noticed what was happening and every time he brought in fresh food for the buffet, he first came to our table and gave us a few dishes before placing the rest on the buffet. Thoughtfulness at every turn! The overriding factor that first drew us to this hotel is the beautiful spa area. It has an indoor pool and saunas along with a variety of sitting and lounging options inside and outside. The outdoor area is where we spend most of our time with plenty of lounge chairs, arranged both in the sun and under shade trees and umbrellas. Relaxation! We have had many problems over the years in different hotel chains getting housekeeping to clean our room while we are not there. Here one simply has to turn on the switch that allows housekeeping to enter the room and leave. We have returned to the room after 30 minutes to find that it has been serviced. No Stress! Many European hotels have air conditioning systems that cannot cope with the high temperatures that have become ubiquitous in the summer months. It was over 30 degrees outside, but our room remained a pleasant temperature. Comfortable! Normally, I would end this review stating that we will definitely return. However, we have already returned and a review for our third stay will be forthcoming.

Bad Experience in Hilton Chain

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

As I diamond member of the Hilton group I will give this branch as less than zero point. I found a blood spots on the Pillow and urine smell inside the rooms. Heavy smoking on the terrace without respect to the kids; elderly people and people with allergies to smoking. Food on the executive lounge is less than optimum for Hilton excutive guests. The Pillows are poor quality. مكان سئ جدا فيه من القذارة / الدم على المخدات رائحة البول في بعض المخدات. المخدات من النوع السيئ.

Big hotel with a lot of options

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

Quite new with Hilton. Friendly welcome, nice (but dated) rooms and a very good breakfast. We like big hotels surrounded by parks and you can enjoy also the pool as Diamond for free. Rooms and Hotel was taken over as is and before the rebranding there was not a renovation but this wax announced from them starting step by step from next year. Let’s look forward to it. Quite a distance to downtime and also the airport. But calm and nice environment if you est to relax out there and still be in reasonable distance to the hotspots.
