we spent one week end in june in this hotel our room was spacious and well laid out with a superb view of the park. the bed was very comfortable. the room was spotless except for the coffestation. housekeeping forgot to wash the spoons and empty the used sugar sticks which were nestled in between the new ones. this can happen and since everything was impeccably clean one could tell this was just overlooked by accident. the hotel is situated in a park like neighbourhood , plenty of parking and the grounds are well kept and illuminated at night, so we always felt safe. we came by car and it was easy to find once you left the autobahn. we were greeted already outside by a friendly doorman, who offered help with luggage right away. breakfast on the first day was rather chaotic, and we left after 25 minutes without any food. we did manage to get a table, but the lines to the different stations were unbelievably long and i am visibly handicapped using a walker. after 20 minutes in line at the cooked-to-order eggstation i gave up and returned to our table where my husband who wanted to get fruit and joghurt and coffee for us had only managed to get two cups of coffee. the few service people were stressed cleaning tables and it was clear that they were overwhelmed by the amount of people. we were disappointed to start the day like that and decided to scratch this hotel from our frankfurt list. on the way back to the room i stopped by the front desk to let them know how great the room was but that we weren’t planning to come back because of what we experienced at the breakfast room. i talked to Laura and it was such a great conversation. too much to write here, but she represented the hotel in a professional and sincere way that we booked another stay for 7 nights in july today. the second day the breakfast situation was perfect, but the hotel was not booked out then. we had omelets and fruit, coffee and juice. perfect! there is a wide variety of foods offered, buffet style, all fresh and delicious. the lounge was was also super. it got replenished whenever needed, the food offerings were served in small jars, different salads, small bowls of hot food eg chicken teriyaki on sticks, small egg rolls, different cheeses and rolls and baguette. we did not drink any alcohol but you could chose from different wines, bubblies, beers, water, softdrinks and juices. i also saw gin and tonic waters. everything spic and span and the food was presented in an appetizing way. the atmosphere in the lounge was very relaxing. the park invites you for a stroll at any time of the day. last i want to mention the indoor and outdoor pools. both are big pools, not only on the pictures, but in reality. big and beautiful and inviting. the grass area around the outdoor pool was well maintained with plenty of lounge chairs and excellent service. i did not use the spa or fitness room, but we overheard people raving about them. i can t think of anything to improve other than to make sure that if the hotel is booked out to put plenty of service people on breakfast shift. i want to recommend this hotel not only for a week end get away but also for extended stays. sometimes it pays to talk nicely to the front desk people when you experience a problem, most genuinely care and try to fix it. in our case i declined any offers of free drink or whatever. i wanted to get my disappointment of my chest and after the talk to Laura, i left happily. no free hand outs needed if you have a great staff. chapeau!!!

Great hotel to take a break away from the city, with its outdoor pool in a garden, and a small lake under its windows, a nice plush indoor pool and a spa, it is a very nice hotel for a rest and relax away from the city noise, while being 25mns drive from the center of Frankfurt, but had no public transportation reaching it. I got a lake facing room, very plush, modern, very quiet, it had a large bathroom with huge floor to ceiling windows, bathroom was full of light. However the big con is that the Room to bathroom door is glass, and the bathroom windows don't have a blackout curtain. You end up with morning light in the bedroom at 05h30 in summer, and there is no possibility to black out these windows nor the bathroom glass door. I ended up hanging towels on the windows and duvet on the bathroom door. Not a 5 stars experience or feeling honestly and very much an lousy sleeping experience.. Service at the bar was a total let down on June 5th evening, the server was overly rude when we asked him whether he will come to the table to take an order, lashing back "I am alone, i cannot come", while a simple "unfortunately you must come to the bar to put your order, we do not have table service tonight" would be the appropriate way to speak to customers in a 5 stars. Other guests shared the same comment that evening, how come in a 5stars hotel bar, there is a single waiter and he is so rude, this happened on June 5th at 23h00. Management please retrain your staff. Receptionist and concierge teams are professionals and know their work to their nail end and personnal at the spa was full of attention. Breakfast is pretty good, choice very wide and of high quality (except the coffee).

Rooms in the same category may vary in standard depending on location - so it's worth paying attention to this when booking. A comfortable bed, heated bathroom floor, electronically controlled shower temperature and a wide selection of breakfast dishes are some of the hotel's advantages.

The property has great potential. The breakfast in the adjoining restaurant is good. We traveled on business and although we booked far in advance, one of our colleagues was placed into tiny (single twin bed) overflow room without apology or adjustment to the rates. Their response to our complaints were disingenuous and insulting - they claimed it was an upgrade. They also tried to charge more than the contracted rate for the rooms. Our receipts for the stay were to be emailed to us and we never received. As of this writing, I am still having to email and call to beg for a receipt. Not sure why this should be a problem? If you stay here - be sure to check your charges upon check out, and get a printed paper receipt. If hotel management is reading this, what's the issue? Just send our receipts!

Unfortunately, our stay never got off to a good start as we had booked two connecting rooms only to be told that there were none left! I'm not sure how that can happen as we had booked one. we were offered two rooms next to each other which were not connecting. The hotel is huge, spread out over a vast area which means, from reception to your room is at least a 5 minute walk through what can be described as a maze. The hotel is also very dated and could do with some refurbishment. Swimming pool was ok but also dated. The bar is nice and very comfortable. Restaurant was also good for dinner as well as breakfast. Unfortunately, I would not stay here again.
