Reviews for Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof

Grand old hotel with today’s standards

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Grand old hotel upgraded to today’s comforts. One can walk to many of Frankfurt’s attractions. Short walk to the Main river and the pleasant park with walking paths and benches to sit and view the boats and people watch. I highly recommend..

Not too happy at all.

the hotel looks fine from outside. The rooms are devoid of facilities. Hot water wasn't coming. Rooms aren't good from inside.

Classy hotel in the perfect location!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We stayed one night in the hotel and enjoyed its location in the center of the city and its excellent location to many tourist sites. We enjoyed visiting the Goethe museum which is located steps from the hotel. We also loved walking to the Romer and Opera House where the hotel concierge recommended a tasty Sicilian restaurant to us called Alfios. The hotel staff were exceptionally welcoming from the valet to the front desk. We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and the hotel sent chocolate covered strawberries and a cake as a surprise to our room. The superior room we had was very spacious and clean. The only drawback was that the air conditioning did not reach the lower temperatures that we would have liked. We will definitely stay here again if we visit Frankfurt in the future!

Crumbling 5 star with 2 star amenities - bring your own towels

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

Worst 5 Star hotel in Europe. Manager Vivian McKanne just asked me why I was telling her about the problems when I am about to check out? Tone very much like “it’s your fault for not telling us that we don’t have basic amenities” Stay somewhere else! Irresponsible management. Front staff albeit friendly barely holding it together. Not sure what’s wrong with this hotel… management needs changing. Look at the arm chair in the lobby.. that will tell you what’s in the rooms.
