Disappointing for a 5 star hotel
We spent a long weekend at the hotel. The location is perfect and the building beautiful. Our check in was pleasant and easy and the front desk was very friendly. The spa is really lovely and a great place to unwind. Unfortunately our room was not up to standard. I Understand that it is an older hotel which I have no problem with, if you are keeping your accommodations up to standard. Everything just looked warn out and there was an old carpet smell in the room. There was obvious wear and tear in the bathroom, chipped mirrors etc. We weren’t in our room too long on the first day, but when we came back in the evening. We noticed it had not been cleaned properly before our arrival. The doors to the cupboard are full mirrors and these were open upon arrival. When we closed them I noticed greasy hand prints all over it. There was also what I assumed to be toothpaste or cream over the bathroom door and on the door handle. These are avoidable mistakes and one would think rooms are inspected after each visit. I travel extensively and have stayed in many different star rated hotels and I was very disappointed with the quality of this hotel.

First Class in Frankfurt
My wife and I traveled to Frankfurt for a long weekend and tours of the wineries in the Rhein Valley! The Best decision we made however, was choosing to stay at The Steigenberger Icon Frankfurter Hof. This was truly one of the best hotels that we have stayed at and we travel quite a bit. Everything about the hotel and stay was amazing. The hotel itself, the room, the customer service, the restaurant and the bar were all remarkable! We highly recommend and will certainly be back here again next time we are in Frankfurt!

Wonderful hotel in Frankfurt
The best hotel in Frankfurt, with excellent staff. We booked the Presidential Suite and staff rooms and were very happy about our visit. I recommend

Lobby and bar ok, room depreciated
The hotel lobby is cozy and the bar has a very nice atmosphere; unfortunately my room was big but quite at least my room was simply depreciated, and intensively smelling cheap air freshener. you can't simply have 3* rooms in a 5* hotel.
