Sofitel Frankfurt Opera

Bar food - forget to eat something there . not a level of Sofitel at all ( please go and check Sofitel in Barcelona ) - i had once also dinner there - absolutely a disaster . my recommendation is to hire a proper cook and team ..

GM S. Opitz and his great team are doing a fine job at this Sofitel in Frankfurt am Main, super close/facing the "Alte Oper" (Frankfurt's famous concert & event hall) and the Opera Square. The Sofitel Frankfurt Opera, opened at the end of 2016, I believe, with approx. 150 rooms, 30 suites, SPA, restaurants, conference - & ballrooms. It is located in the immediate vicinity of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, numerous other financial institutions (Deutsche Bank, UBS Germany) and some of Germany's most well-known high-end shopping streets, e.g. Goethestraße and Freßgass. FO at check-in/out was professional & efficient, more German than French style and (free) smiling never killed anyone but I liked the efficiency.... Rooms and bathrooms are super clean, nicely sized and quiet when facing the small park area. Did not use SPA, concierge team, Schumann's, nor breakfast during short stay. Uneventful, nice business stay. When in Frankfurt would stay here again.

My husband and I chose the Sofitel for our final two nights before flying home to Australia. All I can say is -FABULOUS! The staff at Reception were very helpful and check in was easy and QUICK. Of course we were very happy with our Prestige Suite - which was beautifully appointed with full length mirrors - which are so handy when dressing to go out. The bathroom had his and hers sinks, a shower, bath and beautifully fragrant toiletries. We had a few room service meals which arrived hot, beautifully presented and in a timely manner. The hotel itself is well located - only 10 minutes walk to the shops. We arrived on New Year’s Eve and were delighted to find a bottle of bubbly and a tiered tray of berries and petit fours in our Suite. Additionally, the breakfast area is very attractive and the breakfast offering was what one would expect from a hotel at this price point. Well done everyone - we very much enjoyed our stay and only wished it was longer!

Nice location. Very nice and helpful staff. Extremely nicely sized room. Easy access to high street and restaurants nearby.

Had a great 2 night stay at the Sofitel Frankfurt. It’s a true 5-star Sofitel for sure! The room was superb and the housekeeping team clearly take pride in their jobs as the room was always spotless. Breakfast was delicious with excellent choices, and again the team there were terrific. As we were there on a Sunday the main restaurant was closed, however, we were able to get room service delivered to Lilli’s Bar so enjoyed a really good Schnitzel whilst having a couple of drinks in a cool atmosphere. Check in and check out were a breeze, and the location is perfect - close to the centre but far enough away to be nice and quiet. Top stay.
