It all began with a small wood frame house, erected in 1811 in the historic village of Fredonia in western New York. Over the years, and following a masterful renovation, The White Inn has evolved into a sophisticated blend of old-fashioned charm and modern style. This country manor-style hotel and Select Registry affiliate features traditionally elegant guest rooms and suites, an historic dining establishment and close proximity to area activities that are all about doing, seeing, and enjoying!

We have frequented the White Inn many times since reopening. Bartenders and entire staff are most friendly and do a great job We most recently had dinner there last night 8/14/2026 and it wasn’t up to the usual great experience. My wife had the broiled haddock which was very dry ( not the norm). I had the fish fry and asked for a baked potato. When my order arrived it had a twice baked and I was told they had run out of baked. It would have been nice if I were told in advance so that I could have ordered a different side. The size of the fried fish was a bit on the smaller side, not up to the usual. Our server Tammy was excellent as usual so that was a plus. $21.00 for a fish dinner is getting up there but I understand everything has gotten more expensive. With that said I just hope that the food portions don’t continue to shrink while prices increase. Thanks to the owners Devan and Steve for bringing back such an iconic landmark to Fredonia.

My husband and I have traveled quite a bit both nationally and internationally. In fact, we’ve been in 35 of the 50 states, Canada, Mexico, and overseas in Europe and China. We have such admiration for the staff. Furthermore, all of the amenities of this hotel were first rate. Prices were fair, too. First of all, and SO important—it is SPARKLING clean -I really have seldom seen a cleaner hotel anywhere in the places we’ve traveled. All of the staff is extremely courteous and very helpful, and obviously work hard. We had two dinners at the hotel itself, and the food is uniformly excellent. Again—the staff is top-notch. The continental breakfast was great and is so appreciated especially when you’re trying to get yourself together to check out. The very minor complaint I might have is that the AC in the room was pretty noisy, but I don’t think there’s anything they can do about that. It seems like all the hotel rooms these days have very noisy air-conditioning units so I’ll have to just ¯_(ツ)_/¯ about that.(Our mini-splits at home are practically silent…just a thought…) To sum up —all in all The White Inn is going into my little folder of hotels we would definitely stay at again and would recommend highly to anyone.

This place is a GEM. My room was absolutely spotless. I was able to have a delicious meal on the expansive patio on a beautiful summer day...add the glass of wine and a good book, and the experience was just about perfect. The bedding was comfortable and luxurious, supportive for my lower back. The staff with whom I interacted were simply wonderful. Kind, accommodating, helpful, truly exceptional. I would not hesitate to stay at The White Inn again! I'd give it ten stars if I could!

We had stayed here back in the day before the new ownership. We were amazed at the change in the room. It’s beautiful. The shower was wonderful. It appears that little amenities were added that in the end aren’t little but very very nice touches. The TV was on when we got in the room and it was letting us know what was going on. We liked that. It’s just amazing what they’ve done to renovate/refurbish it. We did go to the bar. The bar tender was very professional and friendly but I will say I thought it was extremely unprofessional and not a good image for a couple of employees off duty to be at the end of the bar being very loud and using the F word in every other sentence. They had White Inn shirts on so that’s why I’m assuming they were employees. In the end I do hope we have a chance to stay here in the future.

Attended a post funeral luncheon here the next of kin was staying here. They seemed happy with accomodations. I can speak to the dining. Beautiful upscale dining room and place settings. Food was quite good and nicely portioned. Not large menu selection. The deserts were five star quality. Absolutely amazing , generous portions, beautiful presentations obviously from a very skilled pastry chef who has pride in their work. I have to say that the service was very slow for the main meals , no fault of wait staff. Nice place to get fine dining in a small town.
