I would have rated my stay as a five-star experience if not for one disappointing issue regarding my breakfast credits. I travel frequently and had booked a package that included $60 in breakfast credits. Because I made the reservation nearly two months in advance, I had forgotten that I had purchased this package. Unfortunately, at check-in I was not reminded that breakfast credits were included, nor was I given any instructions on how to redeem them. I only discovered the charge after reviewing my bill following checkout. When I contacted the front desk, I explained that I had never received breakfast vouchers or any information about redeeming the credits. I was told that a manager would need to process the credit and would follow up with me. Unfortunately, I have yet to receive either the credit or a return call. This experience was especially disappointing because the hotel itself is beautiful, the facilities are exceptional, and every other aspect of my stay met the expectations of a luxury resort. As a rewards member, I had hoped to leave a five-star review highlighting outstanding customer service as well. I hope the hotel addresses this issue, as a simple reminder at check-in and timely follow-up afterward would have made an otherwise excellent stay truly exceptional.

This is a very impressive property nestled within the city yet provides also manages to deliver a beautiful setting with the greens surrounding it, not just for golf, but for a feeling of a quick getaway from the usual humdrum. The front desk staff that greeted me provided me with unhurried attention, listening to my story as I arrived a bit frazzled from an Uber experience. It helped me decompress. What a pleasant first impression. The rooms are all almost situated at corners that afford views of the golf course. I loved my room from the moment I walked in. It was not at a much higher floor, yet the view was pleasant. I could see the city on the horizon and right before me, the rolling course and walkways. The room itself was very comfortable--open space with no corners to hide rooms or closets that typically make me feel uncomfortable when staying at a hotel by myself. The King bed was very comfortable. There were ample outlets to plug my devices, and the lighting was just right. I enjoyed the rainforest shower head, the toiletries, and the large mirror with makeup lighting, plus a magnifying smaller mirror for touch ups. The bar, coffeeshop and restaurant were all stocked well. The conference rooms huge and tucked away at a private enough corner of the hotel that doesn't bother the guest room area. A bit of a walk but great for exercise. The shuttle ride to and from another wonderful spot, Ryder Cup Grille, was a welcomer service. Definitely a property I would return to despite not being a golfer, but for the wonderful amenities and all the above.

As an ICON Select Guest Member with Omni, I received an invite from Lindsay, who is the Senior of Loyalty and Customer Engagement, to attend the Celebrate America event over the July 4th weekend. There were plenty of activities to partake in throughout the weekend, which included a VIP reception with free food and drinks that was followed by a concert performance by Country singer Darius Rucker (formally lead singer for Hootie and the Blowfish) before the fireworks and drone show. The VIP guests had gate off section in front of the stage to have an up close concert experience. Prior to my stay/arrival, I was able to have my room upgraded from my initial booked room, even through the room upgrade availability was limited due to high occupancy. Deloria and Lilly were very pleasant to be quick in accommodating in processing that select guest perk without hesitation. Despite it being busy with numerous arrivals and vehicular traffic and guests, valet ran their operation efficiently. There was minor wait time, but it was expected with what they were dealing with. There was a minor issue with the drink amenity I requested not being delivered, but Jason was insistent on making things right for me, even though I tried to dismiss the issue as no big deal. He did not want me to have an unsatisfactory hotel experience. Mission Accomplished!! It was a great staycation experience at Omni PGA Frisco as it is one of my favorite Omni locations to stay at.
