Second time staying at the Savoy Palace and the experience was amazing again. The staff at every level are just so friendly and helpful. All restaurants in the hotel are excellent. The setting and facilities are second to none. Highly recommended.

One of my favourite hotels ever celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary such luxury. The restaurants staff location food drinks and ambiance was amazing can’t wait to go back. Just a few issues that need addressed the sun-beds same as a lot of hotels but there should be time limit on holding them we watched people put towels on in am and they came back in late afternoon and nothing ever done shame especially the softer ones please address, also we arranged a sea view picture to follow wasn’t provided even though I asked at desk the guy wasn’t interested think this is only person that wasn’t respectful. Our cleaner Florica ( 0458) hope I spelt your name right and actually all the room attendance brilliant she got r rewards card. Very minor issues loved this place can’t wait to go back a beautiful city with lovely people.

An amazing week at the savoy palace. The ocean suite was beautiful - very high end. Housekeeping made our rooms look amazing every day and the rest of the staff were really helpful and friendly. Great facilities and plenty of room around the pool Etc. would absolutely recommend and stay again.

The building is impressive the service is just so poor for a 5 star hotel that it is hard to really be any more generous in a review. The best team are the house keeping team they seem to know what they are doing in the main...however: - no Aircon in communal areas (corridors 30 degrees plus on occasion) breakfast indoor area not airconned on several occasions. - on arrival - no welcome drink, no fresh cloth nothing - check in is slow - no pre check in service. Very manual process - went to room, no bed for our eldest child made up (we arrived late and this upset her - she is only 2 years old, she felt forgotten) - breakfast - ordered coffee sometime is would come, sometimes it wouldn't. Replenishment of items is also slow. - service by the pool is the worst I have come across. No way to order a drink or food unless you go to the bar yourself or find someone (who will likely tell you they don't serve food they only serve drinks), book a day bed and be lucky if anyone even asks you do you want a drink. We ordered food having booked a cabana...it was late arriving and came in staggered parts and was not what we ordered. - not even padded furniture around the pool. - kids club is dire and nothing of interest in their for children other than a TV. Toys last refreshed many years ago. - cocktails - I think the bar staff are guessing at how to make half of the cocktails and making them from an ingredients list. Totally hit and miss. - tiles coming off the pool everywhere. - no express taxi service from the hotel (hotel of this size should have a relationship with a taxi firm). - concierge booked us an excursion trip - failed to tell us that what was discussed as possible on the trip couldn't happen given weather and closures. - positives are the room was very good. - the spa and the gym also good. - when more senior staff get involved they do act and try to resolve complaints e.g a dinner complaint (service can be very slow), but I have never had cause to complain at a 5 star before ..why because they would sort an issue before you needed to complain - restaurants around the hotel are lovely This hotel has potential, it just needs a rethink on service. For the same money try the Four Seasons in Cyprus and see the difference.

Great looking hotel, very poor service The hotel and facilities look great, the rooms are lovely ( in our booking we had conjoined beach front rooms and a superior suite- both amazing) the cleaning staff are brilliant. But everywhere else the staff are lack luster and sparse. Firstly, around the pool, you basically need to chase someone down for a drink. We did the Bali bed twice which you pay 125 to 150 euros for but can redeem in credit, we literally had to chase waiters down for food orders and to spend the money, you’re not told you only get until 5pm to order food, and you can’t spend the money any other day when you book. We had so many mishaps with the poolside staff it’s too much to write, but for a 5* hotel this needs serious improvement. The breakfast staff are ok at clearing plates, but over 9 days have never once offered a coffee or hot drink, we’ve always had to ask, to can go and get a barista coffee but if you want to be served one at you’re table expect to wait 10 to 20 minutes and expect to have to ask for it. Generally service around the hotel is very slow, I’m not sure off this is cultural or just of the staff of this hotel ( this is our first Toronto Madeira) but the service is very slow. The facilities of the hotel are good, though the children’s club is lack luster, I also think the hotels missing some key evening eateries. Overall, I wouldn’t come back to this hotel, it’s ok, but for the price I’d expect a lot more
