All the staff are really nice, especially the reserve breakfast team and the house keeping staff. The two spa ladies were a bit rude to my son, but other than that it is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The food is amazing!!!

We love the Savoy Palace so much , so we keep returning. Everything about it is amazing. Our favourite place to eat this year was the Pau de Lume. The service is just perfect and the food is good, especially the meat croquettes which are melt in the mouth gorgeous. We love having cocktails outside on the top floor sky bar. I have read other reviews that moan about things and I would just say to those people: Appreciate how lucky you are to be able to afford to stay in such a lovely place, there will be so many people who would swap with you. The staff are all lovely and provide a very high standard of service, so be nice to them.

This hotel is fabulous, we had a beautiful huge room and it was cleaned thoroughly every day during our stay. Staff were so friendly and welcoming right throughout the hotel. The rooftop bar is super with fantastic views of beautiful Madeira. Breakfast is superb. We didn’t want to leave!!

I booked the Family Two-Bedroom Suite from October 20th to 26th, 2025 (confirmation number: 7990SF065305) for our companies CEO and his family during their vacation. He is a regular visitor to Madeira, but this time he came for a short family trip with his wife and two children. Unfortunately, the overall experience at the hotel was disappointing. Except for two staff members — Mr. Filipe Bettencourt and Mr. Gurash Devkota, who were professional and helpful — the rest of the staff were unhelpful, disrespectful, and showed a lack of hospitality. The property is not family- or child-friendly. We tried twice to arrange dinner in the hotel’s restaurants during their stay, but both times we were told they were “fully booked,” even though we were hotel guests. Although breakfast was included in the reservation, they were asked every morning whether it was part of their booking, which was inconvenient. There were no complimentary bottles of water in the suite after the first day. Housekeeping service was also poor — the room was not properly cleaned, and the trash remained there for days. Additionally, access to the swimming pool area and use of the sunbeds required extra payment, which was surprising for a hotel of this category. Overall, the management and guest treatment need serious improvement. I would not recommend this hotel for families, as they will likely be disappointed with the service and atmosphere. The experience does not justify the price, especially considering the poor service and lack of hospitality.

We never like to return to the same place again no matter how good the experience. In this case we will make an exception. In fact already planning our next trip and will be going here from now on as it ticked all our boxes. Lovely island. Great vibe (in the hotel and on the island). Perfect location. Facilities and room excellent. Staff/service outstanding. Thanks
