We stayed at the Savoy Palace in January and it is truly a spectacular hotel, furnished to an exceptionally high standard throughout. We had a garden room overlooking the pool, which felt more like a luxury apartment than a hotel room. We particularly appreciated the double sinks, the large bath, and the extremely comfortable bed, not to mention the fresh fruit bowl, mini cakes and welcome drink on our arrival. Our room was serviced twice a day, and the housekeeping staff were very sweet and friendly. Our only small gripe was that the room could be noisy at times, as it was located above the entertainment bar. On one late evening we were woken again after the band had finished by the sound of furniture being moved around. I had hoped the outdoor swimming pool would be heated; I expect it is much warmer and more comfortable in the hotter months, unfortunately it was far too chilly for me during our stay which was a shame because it’s absolutely incredible. That said, everything about the hotel is fabulous. We loved using the gym, the beautiful rooftop bar and the breakfasts are truly superb. There is an excellent selection of fresh produce and choices, all accompanied by delicious juices, teas, and coffee. The waiting staff can’t do enough for you. Also a special thank you to the wonderful gentleman at the coffee station who took such pride in his work, explaining the different coffee options and even recommending places for us to visit on the island. We have genuinely loved staying at the Savoy Palace, highly recommend it, and will definitely return again. Thank you all!

I was disappointed. Hotel doesn't appear to have any soul and is all glitz and glamour but no heart. Even in peak season it felt as though we were rattling around in an empty box. Some aspects of the service were not what you would expect from a "5* hotel" In particular the Vimes bar. appalling service. They had a different band playing there each night but they did as little as possible, spending more time at the bar than playing. They finished on the dot at 11.00pm, having played about 10 songs in the previous 90 minutes The Pau de lume restaurant was very good in all aspects. The hotel is in a good position and our room was fabulous. I watched a couple of ladies in the rooftop bar order food which never turned up. The manager came to apologise but still didn't bring the food with him!

Excellent accommodation and superb facilities, with very friendly helpful staff. First rate breakfast buffet, but limited evening meals with menus repeated in Pau Lume restaurant though food was appetising and manager very attentive. The Gala dinner on Christmas Eve in the Hibiscus Restaurant was a disgrace with insubstantial portions and poorly presented unappetising food including tough venison. Also poor service. We were bitterly disappointed with the meal and with the overall experience which was totally unacceptable fir a hotel of this class. The choice of food needs to improve urgently.

Very disappointing meal at the Italian restaurant in the Savoy. We ordered two Campari and sodas to begin with only to be told it wasn’t possible, only wine was available, there was no Rosé on the wine list. So we ordered table water and the focaccia, the focaccia didn’t arrive. My wife ordered the Burrata to start, it was literally a ball of cheese with some sour cherry tomatoes in a bowl, it was very unbalanced in terms of its flavour. My starter was the aubergine parmigiana, the aubergine was super soft in places and hard in others, the cheese sauce tasted of uncooked roux. Then two Campari and sodas miraculously arrived but one of them had so little Campari in it that it was essentially pink fizzy water. My wife ordered the prawn linguine, the linguine was far too salty and was inedible after a couple of mouthfuls. I ordered the veal which I asked to be served medium rare, it was very overcooked, the prosciutto it was topped with was rock hard, the potato ‘flan’ that came with it was basically a tasteless panna cotta consistency, the asparagus was overcooked. Not once did a member of staff ask us how our food was even after my wife’s linguine was returned largely untouched. When the bill arrived we had been charged for the focaccia that hadn’t arrived and we’d also been charged for a tiramisu which we hadn’t even ordered. Given the poor quality of service and food we politely asked for the service charge to be removed. The bill came back and the service charge was still present, we then had to ask again for it to be removed which was very awkward. Overall it was a dreadful experience. Thoroughly disappointed.

Enjoyed a relaxing 2 week break staying in a sea facing studio apartment. Studio was well equipped and serviced daily to a very high standard. The bed was huge and extremely comfortable! Only issue was a lack of coat hangers in the wardrobe, however a quick telephone call to Housekeeping rectified this. All the staff are extremely friendly and always acknowledge you in the passing. The hotel is very central for other bars and restaurants.
