The fortress holiday
Wow what can I say about The Fortress everything is 5 star. The hotel the food the Rooms the grounds. The staff are pleasant and very attentive. the pool guys take a bow with how quick you waz putting out towels and keeping pools clean. The Gardeners keeping grounds clean and tidy. We thoroughly enjoyed our 10 night stay and recomend this hotel if visiting Galle or Ahumgama as a place to stay. Thank you to all the staff that made our stay 5 star Derek & Julie

Amazing place - possibly the nicest overall experience in Sri Lanka
We travelled through Sri Lanka and stayed in quite a few five star hotels - when we consider the entire experience - I'd say this is the best place in the country! Starting from the great welcome, over to the spacious and very clean rooms, amazing teams at the restaurant and by the pool - we were properly pampered and treated like 'royalties'. We stayed there twice already and we plan to visit soon again!

The Fortress Resort and Spa exceeded our expectations and we loved our stay there. The complex was immaculate - we had an Ocean View room on the first floor - which had a good sized deck looking over the garden, pool and ocean. We booked the breakfast which I'd highly recommend, lovely choice of fresh fruit, Sri Lankan and traditional breakfasts. We used the really well equipped gym most days and enjoyed the 50 metre pool and swims on the local beach. The service was exceptional - the staff were all really friendly and professional...they took care of all our needs and made us feel at home...thank you !!!!🙏
