The Fortress Resort & Spa

We spent two weeks here and loved every minute of it. The rooms are incredibly comfortable and are cleaned twice daily. The food is excellent. The service is amazing. In particular, Irosh, one of the waiters was exceptional. He was very polite and helpful and showed a high standard of professionalism. He is certainly an asset to the resort. All the other staff were excellent too. We loved sitting by the pool and sipping on cocktails and enjoying the seafood BBQ in the evenings. We will certainly be back.

From the moment you arrive you are treated to genuine warmth and kindness, where nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are large and very well maintained- fabulous views over the ocean. The restaurant serves wonderful food and the fish and Sri Lankan curries are a must try. The beach is AMAZING - very long and quiet, fabulous for a walk after a delicious breakfast! We were caught up in the Middle East conflict and needed to stay longer than originally planned, but the reception team couldn’t have been more helpful in assisting us with anything we needed. ALL the staff here are genuinely delightful and are a credit to the hotel. In the restaurant we would particularly like to mention Thejani, a very professional and caring individual who we enjoyed seeing every day. But each and every one of the staff deserve our grateful thanks and we will definitely return one day.

A fantastic hotel right on the beach. We had a wonderful room with a view of the sea. A beautiful garden with a huge pool. The warm and friendly staff made our stay unforgettable. We’d particularly like to mention Tarushi, Ahinsa and Thejani. We’ll never forget their service.
