The g Hotelâ€(TM)s mix of old Hollywood glamour and elements that evoke the coastal region of Galway, Ireland create a beautifully unique design experience. With renowned hat-designer Philip Treacy, a native of Galway, at the helm, each room takes on itâ€(TM)s own special personaility; from the black glass walled main entrance that features a tank filled with Connemara-bred seahorses, to the hot pink Pink Lounge, with chairs covered in bright Andy Warhol fabric and a hand loomed vortex rug, to the luxurious linens and finishes that grace each finely appointed room. The hotel is home to Riva g, a first class resturant featuring international cusines, and a ESPA, a spa that promises to erase the stress of travel. At every turn there is something distinctive to catch your eye, and a staff ready to provide impreccable service with a warm smile.

Second time to go in for a nice cocktail with my partner, excellent service again, lovely menu, totally unobtrusive service but experience good, I would imagine its a super Hotel to stay, I intend to do this.

Very poor customer service. I tried to book an 4-night stay online, but the website kept returning to the homepage upon entering my payment details. I then called the hotel to make the booking, only to be told the rate I could see online was not available on their system (even though it was showing online during the call), so I would have to pay a higher rate. Needless to say I have booked a different hotel which actually offers what it says it does, rather than tries to upsell when their own website doesn't work.

If you’re looking for a hotel that feels like a standard, beige business stay, you’re in the wrong place. The g Hotel is all about high fashion and drama it was designed by Philip Treacy, and you really feel that the second you walk into the lobby. The decor is vibrant, dark, and super theatrical. Some people might find it a bit "too much," but I found it quite fun for a weekend away. It’s definitely a departure from the usual Galway aesthetic, and it gives the place a really distinct, luxury feel. The G-Lounge is a great spot for a cocktail it’s got a really swanky, city-chic atmosphere. The room itself was spacious and very comfortable. Despite the wild colours in the lobby, the rooms are actually quite plush and cozy. The spa is a huge highlight here if you’re coming for a bit of downtime, the thermal suite is one of the best in the area. It’s a proper escape. This is the one thing to keep in mind, it’s not right in the heart of the Latin Quarter. It’s about a 15–20 minute walk into the center. It’s a very easy walk, but if you’re planning on being in town all day and night, just remember you have to get back and forth. It’s a bit quieter than the city center, which is a nice trade-off. The g Hotel is a fantastic spot if you want a bit of glamour and a luxurious spa day. It’s perfect for a celebratory weekend or a "treat yourself" trip. Just know that it has its own unique style it’s not a traditional, rustic Irish hotel, but that’s exactly what makes it stand out. Since it’s a bit of a walk into the city center, don't bother trying to find street parking in town just leave the car at the hotel and take a taxi into the Latin Quarter for dinner. It’s cheap, saves you the hassle of city traffic, and lets you enjoy a pint without worrying about driving!

We visited the G Hotel Galway with our family for lunch and had a very pleasant experience. The atmosphere was elegant and comfortable, making it a great place for a relaxed family meal. A special thank you to Kasia, who was extremely helpful and attentive throughout our visit. She made sure everything was well taken care of and her friendly attitude really added to the experience. The service, food, and overall ambiance were excellent. We would definitely recommend the G Hotel Galway for anyone looking for a nice dining experience in Galway, and we look forward to visiting again.
