The g Hotelâ€(TM)s mix of old Hollywood glamour and elements that evoke the coastal region of Galway, Ireland create a beautifully unique design experience. With renowned hat-designer Philip Treacy, a native of Galway, at the helm, each room takes on itâ€(TM)s own special personaility; from the black glass walled main entrance that features a tank filled with Connemara-bred seahorses, to the hot pink Pink Lounge, with chairs covered in bright Andy Warhol fabric and a hand loomed vortex rug, to the luxurious linens and finishes that grace each finely appointed room. The hotel is home to Riva g, a first class resturant featuring international cusines, and a ESPA, a spa that promises to erase the stress of travel. At every turn there is something distinctive to catch your eye, and a staff ready to provide impreccable service with a warm smile.

Very modern but getting shabby around the edges. The location was too far from attractions to walk comfortably. The desk staff was rather rude and pretentious. We thought we were booking into a 5 star hotel but this is definitely not that. Everything is an up charge, even the use of the pool. Minibar was empty. Everything was just slightly meh and disappointing. We paid for an upgraded room with a view and it was blazing hot in there.

Im lost for words, its just such an amazing experience especially with a host like Lucia.. We also had the pleasure to talk to the chef Mat which was such an amazing gentleman, and explained everything to us so precisely - super professional. unrepeatable, food was 11/10. Great host, great kitchen, would highly recommend. Drinks were amazing, food was amazing, Thanks Lucia & Mat and rest of staff for this experience..

Definitely not a 5 star hotel. Menu in restaurant very disappointing. Service could be improved.

An outstanding hotel with incredible staff. We had never stayed here, and after this trip, we will definitely be back. Great location for easy access to the centre, but the hotel is spectacular. Lovely contemporary decoration with clever design giving relaxing spaces all through the hotel - even the design of the toilets are spectacular. The rooms were spacious, exceptionally clean, and had great views of the bay. Food, both dinner and breakfast was wonderful, full of local products and presented beautifully. But... the difference here is the people and the service they give. Good service can be taught, lots of processes and procedures, but at the G they deliver exceptional service because everyone who works there clearly cares about their hotel and their guests - every single interaction with a staff person was exceptional and consistent. From the wonderfully friendly and helpful desk team to the bar staff to the breakfast team, everyone was outstanding. Thanks particularly to Dovydas, the wonderful front office manager, and Ricardo, who made breakfast such an experience. Thank you.
