The g Hotelâ€(TM)s mix of old Hollywood glamour and elements that evoke the coastal region of Galway, Ireland create a beautifully unique design experience. With renowned hat-designer Philip Treacy, a native of Galway, at the helm, each room takes on itâ€(TM)s own special personaility; from the black glass walled main entrance that features a tank filled with Connemara-bred seahorses, to the hot pink Pink Lounge, with chairs covered in bright Andy Warhol fabric and a hand loomed vortex rug, to the luxurious linens and finishes that grace each finely appointed room. The hotel is home to Riva g, a first class resturant featuring international cusines, and a ESPA, a spa that promises to erase the stress of travel. At every turn there is something distinctive to catch your eye, and a staff ready to provide impreccable service with a warm smile.

What a lovely hotel the room was gorgeous and modern and a lovely bar. Liam at the door and Jack at reception were great and helpful and great to chat to and the gif of Tayto crisps and biscuits was a nice touch. Had a lovely meal opposite st The Huntsman . Would defo recommend this hotel .

The g Hotel was a wonderful place to stay. The staff was very friendly, helpful and recommended some local restaurants that were great. The room was comfortable, quiet and had everything you needed. Just a short cab ride to downtown and attractions. While at the g Hotel we were celebrating birthdays and an Anniversary. Jade and the g team had a plate of desserts for us in the room when we arrived which was wonderful. Again the staff at the hotel was outstanding. Would definitely recommend.

Our stay at The G was lovely! The staff are kind and attentive and the room was luxurious and well attended to (even had turndown service in the evening!). We booked through Costco in the US and got a 10% off voucher for the spa. We passed that deal on to our (adult) kids and the LOVED it and gave the spa a rave review. I want to give a special shout out to the concierge, Ignacio. He and I were in contact prior to our stay to arrange transport for us from our drop off point in Galway town center. He was wonderful! Ignacio was kind and very quick to respond via email and phone to questions and concerns we had prior to our stay. Thank you, Ignacio!

My friend and I had a great time in G hotel. A very nice spa is perfect for rainy days. I recommend breakfast there. Especially thanks to Lucia, recepcionist who was extremly kind!

I travel a lot for business all over the world and I do not recall being as disappointed by a hotel service as I have by the G hotel. My poor service experience started even prior to arriving at the hotel. I initially booked through the hotels website. As a result of flight issue weeks before my stay, I contacted the hotel about changing my booking from 2 nights to 1. I tried to contact reception with my request but was redirected multiple times including to people in England. I was left several communication without understand who or how to contact to resolve my concern. In the end, I there was not flexibility shown (Despite advance notice) only a complimentary breakfast offered. When we arrived there was confusion as to whether we were staying one night or two. Despite the offer of complimentary breakfast, there was none shown on my account and I had to share previous correspondence as proof. This breakfast was arranged for 6:30am by reception (to be picked up by us as we were leaving early) but was not received as communicated. The thermal spa was dark and of questionable cleanliness. The hallways also don’t appear to be vacuumed. They're undergoing construction however I stayed there on weekend when there was no construction going on and it was generally of disrepair or dilapidation outside the downstairs area. Not what I would expect of a 5 star location. Our room was generally okay with the bed being comfortable . Staff we're friendly but there was a general lack of follow through from first contact to leaving. Other examples of poor service included: When we arrived there no valet available as was advertised We had to ask for a bartender to serve drinks at 5:30pm on a Saturday afternoon (Main bar) General confusion on our book or willingness to help No breakfast supplied as communicated Save your money and time and go elsewhere.
