The g Hotelâ€(TM)s mix of old Hollywood glamour and elements that evoke the coastal region of Galway, Ireland create a beautifully unique design experience. With renowned hat-designer Philip Treacy, a native of Galway, at the helm, each room takes on itâ€(TM)s own special personaility; from the black glass walled main entrance that features a tank filled with Connemara-bred seahorses, to the hot pink Pink Lounge, with chairs covered in bright Andy Warhol fabric and a hand loomed vortex rug, to the luxurious linens and finishes that grace each finely appointed room. The hotel is home to Riva g, a first class resturant featuring international cusines, and a ESPA, a spa that promises to erase the stress of travel. At every turn there is something distinctive to catch your eye, and a staff ready to provide impreccable service with a warm smile.

Booked a superior King room months in advance. Joined the Leonardo Advantage Club at time of booking and we were thrilled to be upgraded to a Junior Suite. Room was terrific, large, very clean. Bathroom was large w bidet and washcloths (we didn't get these at a few Irish hotels). Halls are very dark because of the maroon color scheme but the room was a pleasant surprise. Reception staff was welcoming and friendly. Location is a taxi ride into town, generally we spent $13-17 each trip. We used the Tap-A -Taxi app for each ride and it always worked well with well marked taxis arriving on schedule. Perhaps you can walk the 1.25mile into town on a nice day but it was raining sideways while we were there so we opted for taxi service. Breakfast was lovely in their dining room. No buffet, it was order from menu. Breakfast food and service were great.

I am a local customer. I occasionally treat myself to a coffee or lunch at the G hotel. The coffee is about €1 more expensive but the ambience is totally worth it. The coffe is good too. What I also enjoyed was, probably on my second visit, some time ago now, I was greeted by Kasia who said, Welcome back madame! That's a nice touch, when someone remembers you and makes you feel welcome .

Really cozy, big, and clean. Breakfast experience was one of a kind. Servers are really friendly and welcoming, Ricardo and Mario were especially exceptional. Would recommend if visiting Galway.
