A fantastic immersive experience!
You will be thrilled by the panoramic coastal and mountain views, which are truly breathtaking. You will also have the opportunity to immerse yourself in landscapes brimming with lush flora. Exquisite cuisine and spectacular sunsets await you, and you will receive the utmost care and attention throughout your stay. Every turn will amaze and delight you. This is one of my children's favourite places. They, and we, give it 10 stars! You will be captivated by this place and will always want to come back.

Beautiful setting
We have stayed in a number of 5 star similar settings in the western cape. This is a beautiful development with very comfortable suites. It’s impeccably managed and the staff very helpful. The food is very good, not excellent. The range of activities is limited for older guests. It’s very expensive and compared with others such as Bushman’s Kloof not as good value wise in my opinion

Comfortable luxury informative stay
Return trip after 20 years and even better than first time, with considerable room improvements, more sophisticated dining and excellent guest care. The guiding was very informative, the riding on high quality horses also lovely.

Simply The Best
Grootbos is exceptional in every way. This is the best accommodation we have ever booked. From the balcony a breath taking panorama unfolds showcasing majestic mountains, vibrant wild fynbos, white beaches and glistening sea punctuated by whales breaching, it was stunning. Everything was perfect, fantastic staff, wonderful food, great 4 x 4 flower drives, whale watching. Delve into the heart of nature at Grootbos will not be disappointed.

Recently stayed at Grootbos and loved every minute of it. The suites and lodge are wonderful, and the food is superb. We enjoyed all of the staff, and our sight seeing excursions were excellent. I wish we had had a couple more days there.
