InterContinental Geneva

We enjoyed a nice stay at this hotel. It is situated close to the airport about 1.5 miles from the lake. Most days we took a taxi or uber to the city center. The room is slightly outdated and small for the price of a suite. The “seating area” consisted of a small couch that barely fit two people. The bathroom has one sink and is a cramped space for a luxury hotel. Other than the small space, the room offered a great view of the lake and fountain. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The outdoor pool is large with lots of seating.

We stayed in this hotel as part of a tour group.. it is akatge hotel with sizable rooms, but they are not configured well. The hotel is located a little out of the city. So public transport was needed. Breakfast was extensive. It was a warm morning so we were able to eat outside in a beautiful setting. Staff were very friendly and helpful

Overall, we enjoyed our three-night stay at the InterContinental Genève, with just a couple of exceptions. Our room was spacious and offered a lovely view of Lake Geneva, the Jet d'Eau, and the mountains. While the bathroom was a bit cramped, we made it work. Note that the room features a stocked mini-fridge that is not complimentary, yet no prices were displayed for the items. Each evening, we had a relaxing drink and light dinner at the bar. The bartender, Arthur, was wonderful and crafted excellent drinks. However, the primary reason I cannot give this hotel a 5-star rating is the shower. Throughout our stay, my husband and I were randomly scalded by hot water. We tried to find a pattern to avoid it, but to no avail. It was highly unpleasant. Additionally, guests should be aware of ongoing road construction directly outside the hotel, which starts at 06:30, Monday through Friday. We were fortunate that only one night of our stay fell into this timeframe. I recommend waiting until the construction is finished before booking, unless you plan to be up by 06:30 anyway. As for the water temperature issues, you will have to decide if that is a dealbreaker for you.

Excellence amongst the excellent! That is the only way I feel to describe the level of service throughout the hotel. Specifically, the concierge staff members Michelle and Loic they were exemplary in helping us navigate the city and events. Their thoughts and insights were invaluable.

Wonderful property with outstanding friendly service. Afternoon spent at the pool with great service from Andy. Light Margarita Pizza and salad for the two of us with home made ice tea which was equally as delicious.
