While just three miles from Old Town and two miles from the Geneva International Airport, the hotel feels worlds apart from the hustle and bustle of the city thanks to its bucolic lakeside location and gorgeous Alpine backdrop. A combination of stylish sanctuary, gourmand's paradise, spa escape and vacation destination, it is the ideal choice for any traveler visiting this gorgeous lakeside city.

Where to start. The prices are not expensive they are extortionate. $600 for a bottle of Bombay? WHHHAAATTT? 320 USD for a Peking duck? The rooms are ordinary 5* many without balconies. Has a slight80's feel. NOT worth the price. Then there is the so called Michelin * Chinese restaurant. I was told I couldn't get in night one but with evident flourish and pride the concierge "secured" a table for the following night. Wow thanks. Except at 8:30 80% of tables were empty. It was basically lies and I have the evidence to show it. I had had crispy duck in Uli in Nottingham Hill two nights earlier for $60 and it was far superior to this slightly dried offering. The staff were hopeless and insisted that pasta is a Chinese dish (he means rice wrap) but apparently we were in the wrong. Wrong is about right. All wrong. The manager was typically apologetic. He blamed their Middle East clientele for booking multiple tables and not showing up. He was baffled by China taking over pasta and admitted the star status hadn't been recently (or anytime in living memory would be my guess). that said Michelin * for Chinese? Mmmm...I smell a rat. Other hotel staff fine. Decor pleasant enough for a middle of the road 5*. DO NOT GO!

We had an amazing experience at this hotel. The most wonderful thing was the staff, who were so so friendly and helpful. Christophe at the concierge made an effort to make sure we had everything we needed for a dinner in Geneva. The boat transfer back and forth was convenient and super fun for our daughter. The bellhops were so kind and even cleaned our car a bit before we left as we had been traveling for a while and had built up some trash. The Childcare staff was so kind (Solange and others) and amazing with our 2 year old. We really appreciated their efforts to give us a few hours to ourselves as a couple. They have a beautiful and safe play area inside and outside for the little ones and were doing lots of fun activities with them. They are open 9A-6P if desired. We only used them a half day. Our daughter had fun swimming at the pool and playing in our room. They brought an adorable crib, baby towel, baby slippers, and bath products for her! We felt very welcomed although it is a luxury environment we never felt awkward with our little one. The bed was very comfortable and the black out curtains were top-notch. There could be a little more signage in the hotel as it was hard to find some of the places like spa, gym, and childcare areas if you haven't been there before. Or perhaps a map of the hotel given at reception would be nice. We also didn't realize you could walk through a short tunnel and come out on a beautiful dock/small beach on Lake Leman. Once we discovered this, my husband went paddle boarding and I enjoyed a nice dip in the cool waters. The waterfront staff were also top notch and very kind to us. There is a seating area and all kinds of water toys/boats you can rent and take out. It was just lovely to spend some time there! Small quip about the restaurant (not the Chinese one). Service was very slow, took us 2 hours approximately to get our main dishes...I realize it's the culture to eat a slow dinner, but with a small child this was quite difficult for our family to keep her entertained in a tiny space for that long and we ended up going on a walk while we waited for the food. Staff did seem to realize there was a delay and did apologize to us, but they could try to cater for families a bit better since it's a family friendly hotel overall. I would love to go back and stay a few more nights, our trip was too short! I think 4-5 nights would be ideal!

From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. I want to especially thank Fabien from Guest Relations and Abder at Concierge, they both went above and beyond to make our stay feel easy and personal. Traveling with a toddler isn’t always simple, but La Réserve made it feel surprisingly smooth. They had everything ready for our little one, from a crib with thoughtful baby amenities to a cozy in-room teepee. Between the kids club, playground, and how accommodating everyone was, it was clear they truly understand how to make families feel at home, without compromising the luxury experience. Tsé Fung was a real highlight, easily one of the best meals we had on our trip. Every dish was beautifully prepared, and the setting was just right. Breakfast each morning was another favorite moment, with a great spread that felt both relaxed and indulgent. The whole property strikes a balance that’s hard to find: timeless design, peaceful spa, immaculate grounds, but most of all, an incredible team. Everyone we met was warm, attentive, and sincerely kind. La Réserve Genève completely exceeded our expectations. We’re already looking forward to coming back.

Last time I stayed at La Réserve Geneva, it was for an event — and I didn’t get the chance to truly enjoy everything the hotel had to offer. So I came back. For the calm, the beauty, the food… and the atmosphere. Everything was top level, from the service to the smiles. Love places filled with positive, welcoming people

The staff are generally excellent and the location is perfect. The estate could do with some refurbishment soon but it is one of the best hotels that I have stayed at in Geneva.
