Clean modern room … bathroom a little dated

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

The room had a lovely set up for my daughter so we loved that. The room was new and had an entrance hallway and comfy bed and nice sheets. The bathroom while very clean did look old and had a drop to the entrance way and the shower was very odd and you could sort of hit your head and the toilet was very low. I would worry for older people to be in this bathroom. Service was good. Location central but not the best one.

Wonderful stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

Mandarin oriental never disappointed me. Great service, well maintained facilities, friendly smile. Although I arrived in the morning after 12 hr flight, room was ready for me so I could fresh up myself before full day meeting start. Staffs at entrance and concierge are fantastic. Food is also amazing no matter breakfast, in room dining or dinner at the Japanese restaurant. Highly recommend to stay!

Above and beyond

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

This is my favorite hotel in Geneva. I have stayed here multiple times. However, the last time was special. I arrived at the hotel around 11pm with no reservation. I parked the car in front of the hotel. An associate of the hotel jumped in and collected my luggage. When I got to the reception, I realized that the associate was in fact the duty manager, Ihadaden Azzeddine. He was very humble and professional and went above and beyond. He informed me that I would be taken care of and that he would find a room for me despite showing up very late with no reservation. He had me sit and offered me a drink while he was sorting out the booking for me. He kept checking on me the following nights to ensure that I was enjoying my stay. Thanks Mandarin for the amazing service and special thanks to Ihadaden Azzeddine for providing a 7 start service!

My home away from home

This was my third time staying at the Mandarin Oriental in Geneva. The first time was a family vacation and they pampered us so much that I don't want to stay anywhere else when I go to Geneva now. Top notch service all all around - every staff member will do whatever they can to help, irrespective of their job description. Sachi is the best Japanese restaurant in the city. The breakfast spread is vast and varied. The MO bar serves tasty cocktails (not necessarily from the menu) and bar food. The in-room dining menu is also more varied than that at most other hotels and room service is prompt. The concierge desk is super helpful and goes the extra mile every single time. Special mention to: 1. Quentin and Leo who will always keep a quiet table for me on the verandah for breakfast. 2. Tom at the front desk, who got a local patisserie to make a watch-shaped chocolate specially for me and had it delivered to my room as a surprise waiting for me during my stay. Tom also has excellent taste in watches.

Very bad service and experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

-The room was not ready by 3:30 PM until we have asked for it. They gave us the other room but they did not even come pick up the rest of luggage’s to the other room. -Bottle opener (we mentioned a couple of times and no one got it) - We asked for tissue papers almost every single day and no one got it for us -We ordered room service a couple of times and every single time an order is missing (1 order did not come until we asked for it later, another order “bread basket” was not included) -The oil bottle was not clean and clearly someone was using it before - The corridors are dirty, stinky and smelly - The room towels were stained and not cleaned - Definitely does not live up to the name, for the bad service we experienced the price was much higher.
