Worst experience and will never stay at another Ritz Carlton. They switched us to three different rooms in our first three night stay. Second room was filthy and nothing functioned in the hotel. My mother got sick with the flu from the smelly room. If I could give below zero mark to this hotel I would.

From the moment we entered til the time we checked out, our experience was more than five stars. Our room had a beautiful view of the lake and the location couldn’t have been better. We were able to take short walks to the shopping district and the Old Town. The staff was incredible, the food at breakfast and dinner were wonderful, and the attention to detail at all parts of the hotel were fantastic.

We visited the Ritz-Carlton Geneva during a family trip from Paris to Como and chose it specifically because it was our only evening in Geneva. Having previously enjoyed excellent dining experiences at the Ritz in London, we expected a memorable fine dining experience. Unfortunately, the evening fell well below those expectations. The food was, at best, average. My wife’s steak was largely fat and gristle, my son’s lobster pasta contained only two small pieces of lobster, and my veal was unremarkable. More disappointing than the food, however, was the service. After our meals were served, our waiter never returned to check whether everything was satisfactory or to offer further drinks. When I raised concerns about my wife’s steak, the waiter became dismissive and argumentative, suggesting that the quality of the steak was simply the nature of the cut and that we should have called him over sooner. He even told me that I did not understand how busy he was. Having worked in restaurants for over ten years myself, I found both the service and his attitude completely unacceptable. To their credit, a manager later spoke to my family and removed the steak from the bill. However, by that point the evening had already been spoiled. I wrote privately to the hotel to give them an opportunity to investigate and respond before leaving a public review. Unfortunately, I did not even receive an acknowledgement of my email. It is genuinely disappointing to say that, during our travels through France, Switzerland and Italy, we received warmer hospitality in small cafés than we did at the Ritz-Carlton Geneva. Based on our experience, this was nowhere near the standard we associate with the Ritz-Carlton brand.

We recently stayed 6 nights at the Ritz Carlton in Geveva. The welcoming friendliness of the door men upon our arrival and the reception desk's warmth and interest in accommodating us as we checked in set the tone for our stay. The room, with a beautiful view of the Lake, was impressive. It was well appointed and roomy and it was a pleasure to sit on the balcony each morning and enjoy the view. Every meal we had at the hotel, was great, the staff at the restaurant was warm and very friendly with impeccable service. When we wanted to venture away from the hotel for a day trip or dinner each Concierge was attentive and very helpful with terrific recommendations. After returning from a day exploring stunning Geneva we were warmly greeted by the hotel staff who were genuinely interested in hearing how we spent the day and eager to make recommendations for the next one. The location of the hotel is perfect and makes for an easy walk for much of the City. This wonderful hotel with its unique ambiance and proactive and accommodating staff made for an incredible visit. We cannot wait to return!
