The Ritz-Carlton Hotel de la Paix, Geneva

I know the hotel from 40 years ago, and used to come rather often, we loved some our private bank clients and came rather frequently for lunch or dinner, before it was taken under Ritz-Carlton management. I dropped for a drink at the "Living room" bar restaurant today. It was almost shocking, the agresivity of the fragrance entering lobby, and felt all over restaurant. I can only imagine if you order a meal, whose odeurs of cooking mix with this, probably synthetic, fragrance that provokes a headache after some time. Could management give me some feedback on the subject. This us a well willing commentary...I would like to underline.

A truly stunning hotel in an excellent location. The property is impeccably clean and features remarkably spacious and well-soundproofed rooms. The staff provides exceptional, polite, and helpful service throughout. Furthermore, the property is highly walkable, offering convenient access to both the Old Town and the city center.

The hotel has a good central location, the doorman welcomed us nicely.. it was all clean and good service, breakfast was a little lost in the restaurant. It was clean and all fine, nothing outstanding but they were nice to us. The room looks a little dull, but it does like the pictures. Spa treatment was not really very good at all, the mini spa is nice but the treatment was below average. There was no noise in the hotel

Absolutely impeccable service, beautiful property, an amazing stay all around. We were so graciously welcomed by Jean and the rest of the Ritz Carlton staff for the last leg of our Switzerland voyage. The lobby is the atrium of the main part of the hotel, with a grand chandelier hanging from four floors above with a beautiful skylight above. We dined at both The Living Room and the Fiskebar, and enjoyed delicous food and cocktails at both, including a tableside risotto preparation. We had an amazing breakfast feast included in our stay as well. Our room was spacious enough, with a generously sized bathroom and nice tub. But the best part was the view of Lake Geneva off our balcony. It's too bad it was rainy or we would have enjoyed some meals and drinks out there. Can't wait to visit again.

Everything is as expected but a lot more. Front of house Joane is superbly suited to the hotels introduction. The doorman is well versed with the recommended, and what one should do etc. Decor is fabulous, Versailles meets a very funky cool, with the addition of artwork for a recent artist's exhibition. Rooms are spacious, modern.
