Not a true 5 star experience. Room was not ready despite already past check in time. When the room was finally assigned, it was completely uncleaned with dirty linen and trash from previous guest still littered across room. Was eventually reassigned but left a poor first impression. Hotel seems to cheap out on basic amenities like tissue paper where they give you ones that don’t even come out of the box without tearing. Breakfast was decent, otherwise would have left 1 star.

Due to a cruise delay we wound up staying at the hotel for 6 days (we originally were staying for 3 days). Our stay was wonderful. The rooms, (although small compared to US standards) was small but certainly very comfortable. We had breakfast included at the hotel and it was perfect. The staff spoke english and they were extremely helpful, providing easy directions for navigating the city. The hotel was centrally located. Genoa is definitely a walking city. If you want to go to the acquarium, buy tickets in advance. As an added surprise, EuroFlora, a once every 5 year event was in town and for lovers of flowers tgis event was magnificent. As a hotel guest they provided a 20% discount to this event. The bottom line, if we are ever to visit Genoa again we DEFINITELY will stay at the Bristol Palace Hotel. Once again thanyou to the hotel staff.

Located in Genoa's city center and about 15 minutes away from the train station by foot, the Hotel Bristol is the perfect place to stay when exploring Genoa and the surrounding region (including the Cinque Terre). The hotel itself is right next the Piazza De Ferrari and the old town. The central staircase - made of marble steps covered in red carpet and lined with a wrought-iron handrail - adds to the elegant atmosphere, and the rest of the hotel's architecture and decor are beautiful. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast buffet was delicious (with plenty of sweet and savory options: eggs, salmon, salad, vegetables, spinach quiche, mini pancakes, fruit, juice, coffee). Very friendly and professional staff with excellent recommendations for visiting the city - thank you for taking the time to give detailed explanations.

We had a fantastic night in Genoa at the Bristol Palace. The reception we received and advice where to visit was very welcome, we went for lunch to Boccadasse, what a beautiful place. The location was perfect right by the old town. Comfortable bed and beautiful high ceilings and views as you would expect. The staff were all very friendly and professional. Thanks everyone.

The hotel was wonderful, very elegant and the staff extremely attentive. Our double room was large, comfortable, and quiet. The dinners and breakfasts in the dinning room were delicious! The stay felt authentically “Italien”. The hotel was located in the centre of the old city which made walking to the key sites very easy. I would highly recommend this hotel.
