Hotel Camiral

Nice hotel and beautiful location, but some disappointing issues I stayed at Hotel Camiral for five nights. Overall, it is a very nice and comfortable hotel. The decoration is stylish, the rooms are pleasant, and the location is absolutely beautiful. The golf courses were good and the overall setting is really impressive. However, there were several issues that were disappointing for a five-star hotel. The Stadium course was under full construction during our stay, yet we were charged the full price. There was no prior information about the construction works, and no reduced rate was offered. I believe guests should be clearly informed in advance and offered an adjusted price when facilities cannot be used as usual. That felt unprofessional. Additionally, one morning there was no hot water, so I had to take a cold shower. On our last day, we received a message informing us that from 8:00 to 14:00 the water supply would be unavailable due to sanitary disinfection works. For a five-star hotel, this is simply not acceptable, especially without proper anticipation or compensation. I will be discussing this with the manager. Service at reception was inconsistent. Some staff members were friendly and helpful, while others were less welcoming. In summary, the hotel itself and its surroundings are excellent, but the lack of communication and service issues were disappointing. With better transparency and guest care, the experience could have been much better.

We stayed a group of 6 at the resort for 5 nights in October 2025. The golf was great and the courses well maintained. The hotel was far from meeting our expectations. Its overpriced compared with what you get. Average service and food. On top of that we received horrible service when it came to our itinerary - the concierge told the group that we were unable to play the last day, as we needed 4hours to get to the airport due to traffic. This resulted in us missing our 8am tee times. We assumed that we would get the green fees dropped or at least discounted, but they did not accommodate that wish. We gave notice the day before, or as soon as the concierge shared this information. End result was EUR 800 we needed pay and it ended up taking 1.5 hours to the airport - meaning, we could have easily played. The staff is very in-personal and it feels like you are dealing with a corporation rather than a service minded hotel. Not staying there again.

Hospitality galore! Champagne and chocolate welcome. Impeccably decorated common spaces. Spacious rooms. Friendly staff. Fantastic breakfast. Beautiful surroundings. Close proximity to both Girona (for the food scene) and Begur (for the beach). Top notch.

This is it... high quality at every turn... two stunning courses, fabulous pro shop and great food at the clubhouse, and all the staff are exceptionally customer focused... absolute pleasure and privilege to be here for a couple of days.. be back asap...

We stayed at Hotel Camiral for four nights and had a fantastic time. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable, the balcony had a lovely view of the surrounding countryside. We had a bed and breakfast package, the breakfast was delicious and covered anything you could want. We also ate at the Lounge Bar for lunch and dinner at the hotel as well as at Bellas at the Lavidas hotel also on resort. The golf on resort was fantastic and my wife and daughter enjoyed lazy days around the pool. We also tried Padel as a family for the first time which was great fun. The staff were extremely friendly and very accommodating. The only issue we encountered was there did not seem to be enough sun loungers on the weekend and they also ran out of towels around the pool. The hotel was a €35 taxi ride to Girona which is definitely worth a visit with some great authentic restaurants.
