About the Hotel

A landmark hotel in Scotland’s biggest, most vibrant city. Kimpton Blythswood Square has been a prestigious address since the early 19th century. Overlooking a private garden square, the hotel's Georgian townhouses were originally home to wealthy merchants and were later turned into the club headquarters for The Royal Scottish Automobile Club. Today, the Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel has been spruced up for the 21st century, with a multi-million pound refurbishment that has refreshed all of the existing guest rooms and suites with an elegant new look and the launch of the 1,900 sq. feet two-bedroom Penthouse Suite with its own private balcony, media room and dining area. The Hotel also hosts a 10,000 sq. ft. Spa facility with 9 luxury treatment rooms, a thermal suite, 2 relaxation pools, and a lounge and café area.

Reviews for Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel

Very relaxing pool night

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

We only came for the spa, so couldn’t comment on the hotel, but the spa was perfect. We chose to come at 6:30 on a Tuesday, which I believe was their last slot, to use the pool and sauna etc. sadly the snow room was closed which we had been looking forward to trying but the other amenities did not disappoint. Particularly liked the dark rooms with the pools, one of which had a starry night sky above. The changing rooms were stylish and modern and we got a glass or free Prosecco at the end.

Wonderful spa, outstanding treatment and superb lunch

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

The spa facilities were super - sauna, pool with water jets for the shoulders, jacuzzi style pool, dark pool rooms, dark tepid room, salt room, snow room.... The treatment, which was provided by Kimberley, was outstanding. As was the two course lunch - sea trout starter and hake main. Oddly, there were areas of this beautiful hotel that required to be cleaned more thoroughly, including the toilets and changing area.

Best hotel in Glasgow

Wonderful hotel in Glasgow. Staff are extremely friendly, and can’t do enough to help. Social hour is perhaps a little bit too early for business travellers, but it’s a wonderful idea. Beds are wonderfully comfortable. Highly recommended.

Good stay but could of been much more better

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

The reason for my rating is because when booking we were hoping to use the spa facilities a lot during our stay , we paid , checked in , only to find out after you are restricted to use them 0700-0900 & 1700-1900 which when you pay £300 per night you at least hope to use swimming pool etc when you can during the day as well The hotel is lovely , concierge what a gent . The lady on spa reception very rude, unhelpful . It’s little things like that are frustrating & the reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars We even checked out earlier than we should of because they didn’t tell us of the restrictions on use of facilities
