A landmark hotel in Scotland’s biggest, most vibrant city. Kimpton Blythswood Square has been a prestigious address since the early 19th century. Overlooking a private garden square, the hotel's Georgian townhouses were originally home to wealthy merchants and were later turned into the club headquarters for The Royal Scottish Automobile Club. Today, the Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel has been spruced up for the 21st century, with a multi-million pound refurbishment that has refreshed all of the existing guest rooms and suites with an elegant new look and the launch of the 1,900 sq. feet two-bedroom Penthouse Suite with its own private balcony, media room and dining area. The Hotel also hosts a 10,000 sq. ft. Spa facility with 9 luxury treatment rooms, a thermal suite, 2 relaxation pools, and a lounge and café area.

Great location. We were on a group tour, and the hotel was quite busy. Our room air conditioner had failed, and the room was hot. After calling front desk, staff quickly responded with a fan (which did not help), but did not offer to change rooms (perhaps hotel was full. All of the HOTEL staff were pleasant and friendly. The restaurant experience was not good. Food was mediocre, the wait staff was slow and seemed untrained and inattentive. For example, we were seated by staff and not given menus. Another couple were seated several minutes after us, but they had menus. After a while, staff took their order and we STILL had no menus. On another day at breakfast, we were there 1/2 hour before anyone asked if we wanted to order something. The breakfast buffet was only average. This restaurant badly needs an "on-the-floor" manager! There didn't seem to be anyone in charge. It did not live up to a five star rating.

Centrally located Hotel. This is not a Luxury Hotel but probably the only place to stay while visiting Glasgow! The Concierge Lonnie was so helpful and kind , we truly enjoyed all of his suggestions!!

Lovely hotel with a nice restaurant. Room size was a little small for people who are used to American space. Service was excellent. Doormen/porters were very friendly and helpful. Restaurant was very good for both breakfast and dinner.

Stayed for one night. Really welcoming staff throughout hotel. Special mention of door staff and reception who were great. Room was very spacious, clean and quiet. Only downfall of room was no spare pillows that were not feather. Appreciate we could have called reception but it was late when we got back to hotel and didn’t want hassle. Usually hotels like this have spare pillows in wardrobe. But it did not detract from our excellent experience from setting foot in hotel to check out. Very much recommend.

I stayed at the Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel and was genuinely impressed. The location is ideal — central yet peaceful, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and Glasgow’s cultural spots. The building itself is stunning, with elegant Georgian architecture and a modern interior that feels both luxurious and welcoming. My room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and full of thoughtful touches. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom had a spa-like feel. Speaking of spas — the hotel’s spa is a real highlight. The thermal experience, pool, and relaxation areas are perfect after a day exploring the city. It’s one of the best urban retreats I’ve come across. Dining at iasg, the seafood restaurant, was a treat. Fresh, sustainable ingredients, great service, and a lively atmosphere made for a memorable evening. The complimentary wine hour in the lounge was a lovely surprise and added to the relaxed, friendly vibe. Staff were consistently warm, professional, and helpful. Whether it was arranging taxis, offering local tips, or just a friendly chat, they made the experience feel personal. Overall, Kimpton Blythswood Square combines five-star luxury with genuine Scottish hospitality. Highly recommended for couples, solo travelers, or anyone looking to treat themselves in Glasgow.
