Castle Leslie Estate

Had written a longer view which didn't publish for some reason. The Estate is gorgeous, horse riding and dining was wonderful. Request a mews that doesn't face the car park as it effects privacy and enjoyment of the accommodation. Reception was terrible. They really need to get it together for check in and improve their service standards as it tainted the entire stay, a real lack of empathy for the guests and a concierge is really needed.

I wanted to do something special for my 60th birthday so I booked a week long riding holiday with Castle Leslie. To say this estate is magical is an understatement. The Lodge accommodations and 2 restaurants are phenomenal. The staff are so attentive and kind. The barn is great! Organized and clean. The horses are extremely well taken care of. They all provide different levels of excitement. I rode 7 different horses but my favorite was Blueberry. The riding staff are all wonderful but Steven really stands out. He took us cross country across the estate all 5 days and we thoroughly enjoyed his knowledge and sense of humor. We will be back in 2028 to experience it all over again.

We had the most wonderful time at Castle Leslie. From the moment we arrived we were very impressed with the picturesque surroundings and the beautiful setting. Our ground floor room in The Lodge was stunning, providing every amenity one could wish for. We had a courtyard garden to enjoy, complete with garden furniture, perfect for relaxing with a bottle of champagne which we had ordered for our arrival to celebrate a birthday. A lovely touch was the greeting card acknowledging our celebration together with complimentary sweet treats. Our evening meal in Snaffles which was a 5 Course Tasting Menu was exceptional and made it a day to remember. A lovely touch was the Happy Birthday message on the dessert plate. Prior to our arrival we had booked times and dates to experience all that the Equestrian Centre had to offer and were so impressed with the facilities. The horses too were top class, happy and healthy and keen to participate in all the activities. Needless to say we have quite a few favourites. We also used the Victorian Spa for various treatments and were able to use the hot-tub and sauna, all of which were perfect and so relaxing. We visited The Castle itself one evening and throughly enjoyed cocktails on the terrace looking out over Glaslough lake - perfect. Every member of the hospitality team were exceptional in the service they provided and nothing was too much trouble, always greeting us with a smile, it was so welcoming and friendly. We are already thinking about our next visit and are so looking forward to returning to our "happy place" very soon. Thank you everyone at Castle Leslie for such a wonderful time.

My visit to Castle Leslie for an equine vacation through Globe Trotters was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel genuinely welcomed — everyone was warm, approachable, and clearly passionate about creating a memorable experience for their guests. The ambiance throughout the estate was charming and quaint, with a peaceful atmosphere that made it easy to relax and settle in. The riding experience was the highlight of my stay. The trail rides were breathtaking, taking me through the natural wonders of the estate — lush forests, open fields, and serene pathways that felt almost storybook-like. I also had the chance to enjoy cross‑country rides and even jump a few logs along the way, which was an absolute thrill. The horses were beautifully cared for, and the barn staff were exceptional: attentive, encouraging, and always ready to help with tacking, untacking, or guiding the rides. The dining experience was equally impressive. Evenings were filled with fine dining — beautifully prepared dishes with rich flavours — and mornings began with hearty breakfasts that set the perfect tone for a day of riding. Every meal felt high‑end, and all the amenities throughout the estate were top‑notch. Overall, Castle Leslie delivered one of the most memorable holidays I’ve ever had. The combination of world‑class equestrian experiences, exceptional hospitality, delicious food, and the estate’s natural beauty made it truly special. I would return in a heartbeat.

My wife and I spent a wonderful 2 night stay at Castle Leslie staying at the Lodge. It was to celebrate our 42nd wedding anniversary and birthdays. We had the most wonderful meal at Snaffles restaurant and everyone could not have done anymore to make us feel so special. Breakfasts were also amazing and the grounds were so good. Would highly recommend a stay to anyone.
