Nestled on 1,000 acres of undulating Irish countryside, dotted with ancient woodlands and glittering lakes, Castle Leslie Estate is one of the last great Irish estates still in the hands of its founding family. The Leslie Family arrived in Ireland in the 16th Century and bought the Estate at that time. Today, this Irish estate is led and managed by Brian Baldwin and Sammy Leslie and guarded by The Leslie Foundation. Sammy considers herself to be a guardian of the land, and her overwhelming desire is to protect the Estate for future generations.

We just had our wedding at the Castle last weekend and it was everything we imagined and more. The staff were truly incredible, I cannot say enough about the service. They shifted bar rooms at our convenience, helped deal with some tricky weather, and rolled with our "untimeliness" like it was nothing. Everything got handled so smoothly we don't even remember the issues that we had.

My wife and I recently just got married in castle Leslie on the 5/9/2025 and can honestly say it was the best day of our lives. The staff were extremely helpful from start to finish and went above and beyond. Especially Miriam Murphy and Jordan they made myself and especially my wife Zara feel very comfortable. The food at the wedding was incredible and nearly every guest said it’s the best wedding food they’ve ever tasted. In addition to this every wedding guest has came up to me and my wife and said how incredible the venue was and booking stays for them and their partners. The whole experience went better than we could have ever imagined but the thing that stood out the most was the staff and how incredibly helpful they were.

Surrounded by our friends and family in this magnificent castle soaked in history, and beauty we wed. The staff were lovely, attentive and knew what we needed before we needed it. The food was to die for. I will never forget our time here at Castle Leslie. All are guests were in awe of the venue.

We were at the Castle for a family wedding. The grounds are beautiful and a gorgeous location for a wedding. We traveled with my son who has severe food allergies~ the food accommodations for him were AMAZING!! 5 stars. There was a young man who coordinated all his food at all the events. The head chef was awesome. All the servers in each location knew about his allergies and were top notch. The US has a lot to learn from Ireland. I did not give 5 stars because our accommodations were not great. We were in the bottom floor of the castle, which was musty and no air flow. The bathroom had flies around the toilet, and the toilet was probably from the year 1899. The tub/shower combo was hard to get in and out of, and the curtain was dingy. I understand it is a castle...but did not enjoy the room. I had one of the best massages at the spa! Wonderful service! The staff, grounds and service were all 5 stars.

This was our third visit to Castle Leslie in 2025, and it was so wonderful that we’ve already booked our next stay—for Christmas! In previous years, we always stayed in the Castle itself, which is a truly magical experience. However, as the Castle is understandably in high demand for weddings and events, it’s often hard to secure a room. On many occasions, we ended up going elsewhere simply because there was no availability in the Castle. But earlier this year, we stayed at The Lodge with family and we realised how much we had been missing out! The Lodge is every bit as special in its own way. The rooms are beautifully decorated, with incredibly comfortable beds and luxurious bathtubs perfect for a relaxing soak. On this stay we booked the Lodge again, and it was just as wonderful. A highlight was enjoying the hot tub in the morning before heading out for a scenic walk around the grounds—it was the perfect way to start the day. Of course, no review of Castle Leslie would be complete without mentioning its crowning jewel: Snaffles Restaurant. The food is absolutely outstanding, and the staff are warm, attentive, and always make us feel welcome. Every evening we’ve spent there over the years has been memorable. Castle Leslie continues to be one of our favourite getaways in Ireland—charming, relaxing, and consistently magical.
