Nestled on 1,000 acres of undulating Irish countryside, dotted with ancient woodlands and glittering lakes, Castle Leslie Estate is one of the last great Irish estates still in the hands of its founding family. The Leslie Family arrived in Ireland in the 16th Century and bought the Estate at that time. Today, this Irish estate is led and managed by Brian Baldwin and Sammy Leslie and guarded by The Leslie Foundation. Sammy considers herself to be a guardian of the land, and her overwhelming desire is to protect the Estate for future generations.

Castle Leslie, world class service, delicious food , breakfast of dreams and cocktails are sublime. Castle Leslie is fabulous. The staff are professional friendly and attentive, the rooms are beautiful and the bed is just like a cloud of meringue to drift off in the most comfortable sleep all year! Absolutely love the carriage ride round the grounds and a walk up to the castle decorated in the most abundant festive style. Relaxing from the minute the gates open to welcome you , cannot recommend it highly enough it’s simply out of this world.

We have been coming to the Castle Leslie Estate for 18 years now and it never ever fails to impress. It’s truly one in a million to visit. From the minute you drive through those gates you feel like the rest of the world just melts away. The grounds and building are so impressive, but the magical touch is their staff. Every staff member greets and welcomes you, no matter where they are or what they are doing. Caroline on reception remembers our names on every visit and greets us like friends. The bar and restaurant staff could not be more attentive - even asking if a change asked for in a menu option was an allergen or a preference. Nothing was ever too much trouble. The extravagant Christmas decorations are so so beautiful and the castle especially is like a winter wonderland dream. The grounds are just beautiful to walk through and there are many trails you can take for longer walks too. There is also the most amazing equestrian centre, catering for every riders/ or non riders ability. And with around 400 acres of countryside you may never hack the same way twice. The horses are so clearly well cared for and eager to do their jobs that it makes riding such a pleasure whether you go for a leisurely walk or canter through the forest trails, or even getting to canter through the lake itself. You may even have the privilege of seeing the deers roam freely around the estate. We took a fabulous carriage ride, snuggled up in blankets with hot drinks (and cold bubbles) to sip as we were driven all around the estate by Steven and Aine. It was truly magical. As I said before, if you only take one trip this year, make it a trip to Castle Leslie. You will not be disappointed.

We stayed for 2 nights to celebrate my wife's birthday and yet again, we had a brilliant time. Staff were amazing and welcomed us back, congratulated my wife on her birthday and made us feel to special. We had dinner in Snaffles th 1st night and it was probably the best we've had since coming here. On the Sunday we ate in Connors Bar and again really nice. We do love this place and it gets better every time we come, so thank you to all the staff for making it so. On the downside, we stayed in Schnitzel, the shower door and the seal around it need looked at and a mirror with adequate lighting in the room would be ideal. And you took away the real fire. We weren't the only ones to comment on that.

I recently attended a cookery demonstration in Castle Leslie and have to say I was blown away by the experience and attention I received. As a coeliac I often find it difficult to go places as it is not something that is often catered for, on this particular night the waiters and waitresses were serving the crowd delicious food to which I mentioned to a waitress that unfortunately I couldn't eat the food as I was coeliac, she said 'leave it with me' and within minutes arrived back with delicious coeliac treats for me, from that point on I wasn't forgotten and got plenty more treats throughout the night. I want to commend the staff of Castle Leslie for their kindness and ability to cater for those who are ceoliac. It made an already enjoyable night all the more enjoyable. Thank you.
