About the Hotel

Nestled on 1,000 acres of undulating Irish countryside, dotted with ancient woodlands and glittering lakes, Castle Leslie Estate is one of the last great Irish estates still in the hands of its founding family. The Leslie Family arrived in Ireland in the 16th Century and bought the Estate at that time. Today, this Irish estate is led and managed by Brian Baldwin and Sammy Leslie and guarded by The Leslie Foundation. Sammy considers herself to be a guardian of the land, and her overwhelming desire is to protect the Estate for future generations.

Winter Wedding

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

We had our wedding at Castle Leslie Estate just before Christmas and to say it was out of this world doesn’t even begin to cover it. From the very first stages of planning right through to the end of our stay was absolutely flawless! The staff truly went above and beyond in every possible way. A special mention must go to Miriam, our wedding coordinator, who was exceptional from start to finish. Her attention to detail, organisation, professionalism made the whole process completely stress-free. Nothing was ever too much trouble and she ensured our day was everything we dreamed of and more. Another huge thank you to Dwayne, who looked after us during our pre-wedding meal the night before and throughout our wedding day. He was absolutely fantastic! He was so attentive and incredibly organised and he made sure everything ran seamlessly while allowing us to fully relax and enjoy every moment. The setting, atmosphere, service, and overall experience were simply magical, especially at Christmas time. Castle Leslie is a truly special place, and we will treasure the memories of our wedding there forever. We cannot recommend it highly enough to anyone considering it for a wedding or special stay.

Yes it is awesome

This is the second time we've been to Castle Leslie, and the second time I've done an equestrian package. Highly, highly recommend both the accommodations and the riding experiences. The staff is knowledgeable, patient and thorough. I'd had a rough year prior to this second visit, and had taken on some anxiety around riding, but after a four day learn to cross country stay, I left with renewed confidence and had regained the 'this is so fun!' of riding.

Beautiful experience ,as wedding guests we had an overnight stay in January .We booked a lodge room with accessable additions ,the room was outstanding ,felt like we had stepped into another world .A good bed is key to my comfort and I was not disapointed ,woke up refreshed after a great night sleep .We didn't get to experience the stunning grounds as just a short stopover .The wedding itself in the castle was fairytale .The lodge is at the gate of the grounds but a shuttle bus or car drops you up to the hotel if needed .Thoroughly enjoyed the luxury experience

Awful wedding Dinner

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

Attended a recent wedding here and was very disappointed, the marquee is very cold and had to sit with my coat on, there is also no toilets so you have to walk out to the main castle to get to the toilets. Biggest let down was the food I would give it 1/10 I got chicken as a main for dinner was awful dry, no mashed potatoes no gravy for chicken only a we dribble on the plate. Others at the table got steak no gravy or pepper sauce for it, I could only eat half of it. Only thing thing that was left was veg and baby potatoes to share and there was no butter for them as all butter was used for bread rolls. I attended a wedding here 2 years ago and the dinner was the same so was expecting a big improvement and what a let down it was. After the wedding I heard lots of people talking about how bad the food was, probably one of the worst wedding meals I have ever had. Best to avoid and would not recommend.
