Everything here is well done. Friendly and helpful staff. Modern and clean rooms. Sumptuous breakfasts and fun wine hours.

We spent a long weekend in a Glen Ellen King. In short, I would stay at a Bed and Breakfast and save some money over staying here again - the value for the price just isn’t there, even accounting for wine country pricing. The room/property were a bit rundown (paint chipping, trim damaged, marks on the mirrors). The pool and hot tub were also not very clean when we arrived but were in better shape the next few days. Breakfast was disappointing and carb heavy - only protein was a quiche each day (one out of the three days there were egg bites). Location was good for exploring Sonoma and Rutherford/Yountville in Napa.

This is one of the very best ryokan style b&bs in the US. The architecture resembles a quiet, elegant ryokan in Kyoto... The suite is wonderfully designed - even with a zen garden and place to relax with trees and flowers. Every thoughtful touches were considered... from the room furnishings to the small touches - such as bottled water left in the fridge. Luxurious bath robes and simple kimono with Japanese styled slippers (wooden but quite comfortable). Evening reception and morning breakfast complete the wonderful experience. Just the best... Be aware though - while Glen Ellen has a few decent restaurants (we went to one of them... Search for a review elsewhere), Sonoma has more choices and it is about 7-8 miles from the facility. No matter, short drive

This historic “home” hotel was just lovely. Nicely appointed. We checked into a lovely wine and cheese tasting. We were assigned room 3 and our friends were in room 2. The rooms were fantastic. Beautifully appointed. Both rooms had enormous tubs. I hated the low beds close to the ground in the Asian style with no box spring but the bed was comfy so it was fine. We got up the next morning and had a wonderful breakfast. The coffee was fantastic as was the omelette. We left around 9 am abs didn’t return until about 8:45 pm. We were greeted to a room FULL of ants. They were everywhere. In the bed, beside both night tables, in the bathroom, in our luggage. Mind you there are signs all over the property that say put food away in proper containers but we had no food with us. We brought one bottle of water and ironically they weren’t near that. We called the night emergency line and they moved us to room 4 - which was also lovely and ant free. I’m just glad they had an open room. Ironically room four has a nicer bed but the bathroom isn’t as stunning as room 2 and 3. We left the next morning before the desk officially opened but I’m so grateful the night help was able to get us set up in another room. It could have been so bad. Despite the ants I would stay again. It was a lovely property in a beautiful location

Can't recommend. The Gaige Suite was really expensive and disappointing for many reasons. Lots of traffic noise because the inn is off of a busy street. The in room fireplace and patio fire pit only worked for about half of the days we were there and they did not fix it for 2 days and did not adjust our room rate. The hot water ran out when the large soaking tub was only 25% full. The website pictures of the patio are very misleading; our patio looked like it would be quiet and private but it was right above and exposed to a common area. However, the breakfast was great!

I just wanted to let Luxury Link know how pleased we were with our recent stay at Gaige House in Sonoma. The facilities couldn't have been more relaxing and beautiful. The staff was incredibly friendly, hospitable and knowledgeable. Food was delicious (fresh baked muffins every morning and fresh baked cookies in the afternoon and evening - doesn't get much better than that!). And the other guests were easy to meet and talk with. All around perfect experience. Will definitely recommend it to friends and will likely return again next time we're in California.
