Stamford Grand Adelaide

This hotel has the prime location at Glenelg and could be an extraordinary hotel with a makeover. Instead it just dodges along doing ok despite the lack of imagination and effort. Staff all excellent, ocean views to die for, but tired rooms, very average buffet breakfast ($30 max) and a lobby that needs to have the entry spot sorted. Glenelg is obviously struggling with a fair few vacant premises in Jetty Road made worse by some very slow and weird roadworks. Tip 1 - if your breakfast is a bit lame and your coffee station is from the middle ages don't then charge for barista coffee.

Unfortunately due to the Middle East airstrikes my flight and trip was cancelled so was unable to stay at this hotel but I am writing to convey thanks for the great customer service extended from Vicki who was very understanding during this distressing time and value their prompt, empathetic and excellent customer service, Kind regards, Mrs Short

Staff were great, friendly and helpful. The rooms were big and clean. Many areas in the hotel to relax, eat and drink. The hotel has beautiful views and a 1 minute walk to the beach. If you want to get to the Adelaide cbd the tram is almost on your doorstep, an effortless and comfortable way to get to Adelaide . Jetty road, the main street, has so many beautiful shops and great choices for restaurants. It is a cashless hotel so credit/debit card is required. Stayed here before and will definitely stay again!

I had a lovely mini stay in Glenelg. I enjoyed the Grand Bar with its interesting menu choices ( a section titled nuggets is always an attention grabber!) The cocktails were good too! The perfect location for beach walks and shopping. The only draw back was the air conditioner was set on an arctic 18 degrees.
