Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach

Fantastic hotel and service experience. It is a bit dated but the location is great and the service if impeccable. I arrived late after a long workday and then a flight up for a conference the next day. The front desk agent who checked me in was exceptional - efficient, pleasant and clearly passionate about providing a great guest experience. She even gave me a glass of bubbles to enjoy as I settled into my room. I had a wonderful room on the top floor with a beautiful ocean view. The rooms have been refurbished and are a great size so that they weren't the most modern was not an issue for me. Very comfortable bed as always and wonderful to wake up to an ocean view and a coffee (Nespresso machine) on the balcony. Breakfast was fantastic - despite being busy, I was immediately shown to a table, and my coffee order was taken, which arrived promptly. Pleasant service throughout, with warmth. The gym was small but adequate but it was right above a mall with a branch of my usual gym and the running path along the foreshore was only a block away so many options for fitness. I didn't get to use the pool/spa during this stay. Being only a couple of blocks from the new tram also makes transport easy. Overall, I would love to stay again.

This is a really lovely hotel and we had such a warm welcome at reception. Check in or smooth and friendly. We were very pleased with our room and its lovely view of the ocean. This hotel is a little bit removed from the beach front however, there are still nice views. A lot of people comment that this hotel is old and needs an update. Yes it is an older property, however we could not fault our room or anything in it. It was exceptionally clean and everything worked well (except for shower) and we were most comfortable. So only one little downside occurred and that was the first night. I had a shower at 9 PM. There was very little water pressure and I had to turn the hot water tap on full to get a lukewarm shower and then about three or four minutes into my shower it turned cold and no more hot water. It’s probably the one thing that the hotel needs to urgently address. My husband had a perfectly decent shower the next morning so the problem seems to be related to capacity. The facilities are great, although I didn’t get a chance to go to the pool so I can’t comment on that. The first night we dined at bistro on three and the food was absolutely delicious and service was nice. There was only one other couple there dining and they left before us so we pretty much had the whole restaurant to ourselves. Everyone raves about the breakfast buffet there however we didn’t get a chance at that either. The second night we were down in the lobby bar for cocktails and nibbles. Bit more of a vibe there and the service was lovely. This hotel is in a really great location and so convenient to many things. There are great coffee shops nearby, and downstairs is a supermarket where we were able to pick up fresh fruit and extra water. The beach is just a short walk away. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again and for a longer time. Two nights just wasn’t enough. Thank you to all the lovely staff at this hotel. Your service is six star.

Sofitel Goldcoast . Awesome hotel. Good amenities. Bed was comfortable. Staff was helpful and pleasant. Good place for rest and chill
